The online booking system was pretty easy to use (though parts of it were in Japanese and a little challenging) and we were able to get in the same day, and the next day for me. Both stylists we had were precise, good listeners with respect to what we wanted, and personable. My daughter's layered haircut looked amazing! They were even able to make "space buns" for her and it looked so cute. 10yo was thrilled. We went on weekday afternoons and the salon was quiet, with just 1 or 2 other customers. There's a nice sofa for waiting, lots of plants, and the place itself is clean and bright inside. I'd definitely go back there when I'm in town again. No regrets for this one-off haircut on vacation :)

Wow! Terrible experience here today for my granddaughter. She called yesterday to ask how much they…read morecharge to remove shellac polish and was clearly told $15. She made an appointment for this afternoon and we headed downtown together. The woman who did the work seemed to rush through it and was, apparently, not very friendly or careful about the work. (I should say that my GD had removed most of the polish herself; it was just a little residual polish on the nails that needed removing.) The worker got the remaining bits of polish off quickly and did a haphazard filing of the nails, leaving them rough. I was right there and very surprised when the whole procedure was over in just a few minutes, but I guess if you're just removing polish it doesn't take long. When my GD went to pay she was charged $25. Unfortunately, due to her own inexperience, she had handed over payment before I got to the till and hadn't seen the amount, but my GD pointed it out to me. I asked why it was $25 when she'd been told $15, and the operator who had done the job turned and spoke in Vietnamese to another woman there (possibly owner/manager). They exchanged words but no explanation was given to us. She proceeded to give my GD change for the $25 charge, and I asked again "Why is she being charged $25 when she was clearly told $15?" I couldn't believe it when the woman completely ignored me, did not look at me or GD, turned her back and walked away! Wow! Way to run a business! Overcharge your customer then refuse to provide an explanation and just turn your back and walk away! My granddaughter was distressed (it was her own money) but didn't want to make any more of it. Well, short of yelling at the fast-retreating woman what COULD we do? We were flabbergasted at such rude, disrespectful and dishonest behaviour. I guess all we can do is warn other people to avoid this clip joint. (hahaha "clip joint" in more ways than one!) The place was also messy, chaotic and very disorganized with a strong odour of "products" in the air. With so many nail salons in Vancouver I'm sure there are many that treat their customers with respect, honour their stated prices and do a good and honest job. Unlike Sassy on Davie. AVOID!!!

Even though we moved my appointment to a week later, she offered a discount to compensate the inconvenience. ** great customer service! ** My appointment was around 5:00pm and got out the door right at 8:00pm on Friday night. (Ready to go out!) She coloured my hair from black with some caramel balayage to a rooty blonde/silver balayage. I was really impressed actually because my hair has not been this light in many years. So all in all, I left happy with my new hair and would receive endless compliments on it. THANK YOU! PS. When you're going lighter with dark hair, don't expect miracles. Go into your appointment with an open mind and lower your expectations.

Super fun and outgoing personality to chat with, especially since you're going to be spending 4-5h with your stylist, it's important to get along with them. She was really knowledgeable about hair and colouring, made sure to give me exactly what I wanted and most importantly was able to stay within her price estimation that she gave me during my consultation (most stylists aren't as flexible or accurate, and prefer giving a base price and then often going way above it on the day of the appointment which is understandable, but I really appreciated that of Donna). Definitely will be coming back and I would recommend anyone who wants beautiful hair to give her a try!!

This review is for Navkiran Sokhi of 4 Angels who is now working over at Clear Hair Studio!…read more I've been seeing Nav for years now and do not trust a single other person in this world to touch my eyebrows. It's to the point that when I couldn't get down to 4 Angels (her previous salon) from the north shore to see her, I would choose to have horrible brows instead until the next time I saw her. This I literally what just happened recently. I had been working insane hours at work and so when I finally had a day off I went to see Nav. She welcomed me with a big hug, brought me over to the chair she's renting, took one look at my brows and said, "Oh dear your brows need me." And did they ever. As always, Nav traced my brows with her magic white pencil to show me where my arch would be and what hairs would be threaded out. She did the whole threading process, massaged my face with rose cream, and finished up with a complimentary make up touch up. And after it was all said and done I literally looked like a different person. It changed my entire face (in the best way possible) and I was reminded as to exactly why I refuse to let anyone else touch my eyebrows. This woman is an artist when it comes to threading - go see her!!!

I have been to a lot of hair salons in my life, but now that I have found this place I would never go anywhere else! Susan is by far the best colourist I have ever been to. She has done both red and blonde for me and did a fantastic job at both. It was especially challenging to mix a blonde that works for me, but she picked the perfect shade.
