Panoramic double sunroof / flawless - Removal and new ceramic tint installed - super cool!

I had 100 % of my old "baked-on, faded worn & torn" tint removed from my 2012 TDI 6 Speed Manual VW Sportwagon which came from AZ, including the DBL panoramic sunroof. I am a new customer and Al did a fantastic job. Professional work and a great price. He works in a dust-free environment and did my car overnight, the same day he quoted me since it fit into both our schedules. When I picked up my car in the morning it was washed / mini detail which shows how much pride he takes in his work and in the finished product. I was surprised! I have been a client of Al's for 9 years now! He did my first car I ever bought and the tint is still as dark as the day Al first did it! I am now an adult lol and brought him my SUV (family car) and once again he didn't disappoint! I came all the way from San Diego specifically to let Al tint my window. Al transformed my house. I didn't know it was possible to do a translucent tint on a window on the outside of the house. I had him do this to four large windows. I got rid of my ugly blinds and my rooms look incredible as if they were lit by skylights. I may do this to my two remaining windows. The look is so much cleaner and brighter with the soft light. I no longer have dirty blinds or am forced to view disgusting traffic. He worked very quickly. It only took a day to get the specialty tint from Los Angeles and it went in the next day. He even did a workaround on some broken glass I had.

So I was dreading writing this review because Al seems like a genuine guy. I booked an appointment for my Model 3 with Al because of his great yelp reviews. The tints turned out well. I noticed there was a scratch on my vehicle, and he acknowledged that it was him. I had just purchased my car a few days ago. He tried to buff it out but the scratch was in thru the paint already. I was upset and he agreed to pay to have a detailer try to buff it out. He did not agree to the price that I was given, so I even offered to discount it. He gave me some of the cost for the detail. It turns out that the buffing did not help. The scratch went thru the clear coat. I am still upset because this was a brand new vehicle. There was also scuffs all around the vehicle, as if he was leaning against the vehicle with his fanny pack tool holder and it made scuffs in areas when he was measuring the tint on the windows. I know have windows with bubbles, and a brand new car with a deep scratch. Al, I hope this doesn't happen with other vehicles and that the least you do is return the money I gave you. I will then reconsider adjusting my review. *** updated: I never received a discount. I was given "payment back" for only a fraction of what the detailer asked for. He did not want to pay me the 300$. I had to pay out of pocket. The detailer was not able to removed the scratch since it was deep. I hope he at least refunds me!

Al tinted my 2015 Honda Fit...all windows. He was so professional, responsive, and courteous! He was at my house on time, took my car and did the tints, and returned my car to my home all in no time flat. The process was so smooth and convenient! My windows look great and I have the privacy I needed!!! He also does tinting on windows for your home, I plan on having him come out and do my back windows on my home after the holidays. After debating off and on whether to do the job oursleves, Al got us in last minute, same day as requested and took care of tinting our Jeep rear lighting for us!! He discussed options with us and helped us decide what was best for our vehicle. He was prompt, professional, thorough, affordable and the work turned out amazing! We were given documentation for warranty along with his business card to contact him with any questions, issues etc. Definitely recommend for your tinting needs and he also does vehicle wraps, and many other services we hadn't heard of! My mom and I wanted to get our windows tinted for each of our cars, so we decided to go to Al. Al took care of my moms car and completed mine when I took it the next day. I recently bought a new car and thought to myself I need some tint so I remembered a while ago I did a delivery for Al and I decided to call him up for a quote for my car as well as my mom's car. He gave me a really good price for both cars (a mercedes and a toyota) that I had to stop by. He was able to take care of both cars right away in the same day and I got to say the results are great!! Great quality great prices compared to places out here and also great service I am recommending him to everyone I know that needs tint. read more

He came to tint my small skylight, and charged me $275 because he said it is the best product and sheet ever. He insisted to do it at night, not during the day. Next morning, the edges of the sheet were peeling off and the whole area was really dark which opposite to what I asked for which is a bright sheet. I called him to give me my money back. He said " I will come and give you only $125, not the whole amount" And he never showed up again, and never answered my phones or texts....deceiving. Contacted Al for mobile tinting as I wanted him to tint the front windows on my motorhome tinted. It was an hour drive for Al to come to the house for the job so I gladly paid a small fee for his time and fuel and also had him tint the front windows of my Jeep. Since he was making the drive, I was also able to line up 4 additional vehicles for him to tint to include a full tint job on a ram mega cab truck, 4 door jeep with hardtop, Mercedes SUV and an another motorhome. We originally scheduled a start time of 4pm and Al asked if he could start earlier since there were now 6 vehicles. We arranged our schedules to accommodate Al's request. We also cleared out a fully enclosed and immaculately cleaned shop for him to do the work to help prevent any contaminants in the tint. My jeep turned out well and my father in laws truck and motorhome were also quality jobs. Al had to leave the job early and did not tint the windows on the Mercedes and a follow on time was scheduled to complete this car. Since he had to make the drive again we were able to gather two more vehicles for him to tint when he returned. The problem started a few days after the completion of the windows on my motorhome. I contacted Al and explained what I was seeing and he asked that I allow a few more days to dry. I gladly accepted his instructions and waited. After those few days, the windows did not improve and still had many white bubbles between the tint and window. Since he we had rescheduled a day to have the Mercedes and other vehicles tinted, I wanted Al to look at the motorhome then to determine if the tint needed to be reapplied or if further drying was required. However, Al failed to show for the appointment. We contacted him 45 minutes AFTER the scheduled time and he said he would not be able to make it. I understand schedules change, but at least inform the customer, not wait for them to contact you after the scheduled time has already past. Needless to say the motorhome did not get looked at so I attempted to set up a time for him to come fix the windows on my motorhome. For over one month I tried to set up a time with Al. Each time he said he would get back to me to confirm a time and never did. Even when he said he was available on a Tuesday and I said I would make that work and asked what time he would be here, he never replied. This happened 5 times and he continually blew me off. After a month of this and realizing he was not going to drive out to back his work, I asked that he send me a refund for the motorhome only (Jeep turned out well) and I would pay for the envelope and stamp to send me a refund check. He continually said it wasn't a poor job yet would not come out to fix the problem even after I sent him pictures. Finally he agreed to send a refund but stated he was out of town and he would send it when he returned. After a week I asked if he sent the check and he did not reply. It took me asking again and he replied in a way that he did not know who I was or what the issue was. After reminding him the issue he did not want to send the check and did not want to fix the poor tint job. He said that he cannot guarantee a perfect tint job unless it is in his shop. When Al walked into the shop where he did our vehicles the first time he even complimented and thanked us for such a clean environment. He also did not mention that he would not guarantee his work if it wasn't performed in his shop. After a bit of back and forth I finally got the truth out of him when he said, and I quote "you can't expect me to go there for one window, give me a little more respect than that." At this point I told him to not worry about sending a refund as I would rather share my experience with everyone about this poor businessman. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. GO TO PREFERED WINDOW TINTING ON AVE M. as they have redone my motorhome and it looks great. Only reason I didn't go there first was because of the mobile option for my motorhome. read more

Wouldn't recommend I went 2 times for tint because first time had bubbles all around usually they…read morego away in like 1-2weeks like they told me but stayed like that for 2 months then went back so they can tint it again and now it's the same bubbles every where and I ask for 5 around and 15 front windshield car isn't even dark enough you can see thru them when the sun is out and at night either they don't have good quality tint or gave me something I didn't ask Wouldn't recommend the car detail as well They were supposed to deep clean the interior and didn't the first time it looked like if they just vacuumed the car but I had picked it up at night so couldn't see till the morning and results were the same dirty so I took it back that same day and told me to come tomorrow and they would take care of it of me and when I got it back that same day at night again I made sure to bring a big flash light to see they kinda cleaned the seats but still can see them dirty looks like they rushed it and seats were so wet they didn't clean any plastics or the headliner They also take in the walk ins before your appointment like we made an appointment you should do us first not this walk-in's So at that point be a walk-in and no appointment. It always take them hrs to do the tint even days do better why accept walk-ins when you have a whole parking lot full of appointments
