But it's good that his reputation precedes him so that future customers know how lucky they are right away. Trust that he's absolutely brilliant with hybrids and a kind, honest person to boot. Sam fixed the AC in my old Honda Civic Hybrid for a small fraction of the cost that the dealer wanted to charge me because he's smart enough to know how to repurpose used hybrid parts. He also fixed little things, like my loose bumper, without even mentioning it! A brilliant guy and a real mensch. When you go to his shop, know that you're in good hands.

After reading the reviews I towed it to Sam's, he looked over it and got back to me lightning fast and told me that the issue was with the Hybrid Battery and that it was still under a 100k warranty and that I should take it to the dealer. Thanked him, tried to pay him for his time but he wouldn't have it. Insisted he take something and I was on my way. Fast forward: Kia tries to charge me for the repair, called Sam and told them they wanted to charge me $$$ to replace the high voltage fuse. He said no, that's part of the hybrid battery. I returned to Kia and they eventually agreed it was under warranty. Least I can do for this absolute legend of a mechanic is leave this review and basically beg you to take your car here, you won't regret it.

Within an hour I received the diagnosis from Brian and he let me know exactly what needed to be done- I needed a new HVAC Blower motor, that was all. Brian saved me time and money, and he did an excellent job on my car. The work completed was done quickly, and he even let me know about the warranty. Brian saved me $700+. It is very hard to come across such a good mechanic who has your best interest at heart, and Brian definitely was looking out for us and helped us out. I highly recommend Bednar Automotive, and we will continue coming here for work that needs to be done on my vehicles.

Very disappointed with my experience with Ryan. My vehicle is a 2019 GMC Sierra, and I contacted…read morehim because my truck had a coolant leak and I already strongly suspected that the radiator needed to be replaced. Before coming out, he told me he would still need to diagnose it and charged me $115. After paying the $115 diagnostic fee, I was basically told exactly what I already knew, the radiator needed to be replaced. Then I was informed that he couldn't actually do the repair because the job required the A/C refrigerant to be recovered and he didn't have the equipment necessary to do that. His recommendation was for me to take the truck to a repair shop. My biggest issue is, if you're advertising yourself as a mobile mechanic/certified technician and charging $115 just to come diagnose a problem, I would expect you to either have the equipment necessary to perform common repairs or be upfront BEFORE charging the customer that you may not be equipped to complete the job. On top of that, I felt his labor quote was extremely high. He quoted me $700 JUST FOR LABOR to replace the radiator on my 2019 GMC Sierra. I ended up taking my truck to an actual radiator shop, and they charged me only $300 for the labor. That's a $400 difference for the same radiator replacement. So I essentially paid Ryan $115 to tell me I needed the radiator I had already told him I believed I needed, was quoted $700 in labor, and then was told he couldn't even perform the repair because he didn't have the necessary A/C equipment. Based on my experience, it left me feeling like collecting the diagnostic fee was more important than actually repairing my vehicle. I would not use this service again. I would strongly recommend asking exactly what equipment he has and whether he can actually complete your repair BEFORE agreeing to pay the $115 diagnostic fee.
