Al's has been handling our awnings for years. From the take down in the fall with storage, and reinstall in the spring. Their service has always been professional, friendly and timely, whether you are talking with Ashley in the office, or the guys at your home. Last fall during take down, Jose mentioned that we should consider new awnings as ours were at the end of their lifespan with noticeable holes and rips. It's a big investment but after checking around we found their pricing was very competitive. Jamie and Michelle, co-owners, were wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. Let's get the record straight there is only one true Awning Shop in ERIE And that is Al's awning shop nobody is capable of taking the care and time that Al,s Awning shop does. My Awning is about 20 years old and if you take the time to let Al's Awning shop repair what is needed before your awning goes into storage your awning will last for along time, You have to spend money on your awning for it to look good if one wants to be cheap I recommend you take your awning down and put it up By yourself and store it in your garage. If you want your awning to last so You can enjoy it you will come into the shop like a human being and I mean respectful and talk to the staff they will take you under their wings and welcome you. And give you the service you are looking for. If you want your awning to go up on a specific day and come down on a certain day it is an extra 50.00. Storage is 85.00 a year and then have your awning checked out and pay for the repairs. If any one thinks they can bid a job against Al's they are really fooling themselves. You get what you pay for nobody is giving anything away. Al's awning has been making Awning's in Erie for many years and knows what they are doing, I don't want to see anyone get ripped of that's why I am saying go in and talk to the staff at Al's they have beautiful awnings all set up on the floor they will design an awning that will make your home look fantastic and with proper care you will get many use of enjoyment out of your awning. E-mailed request for a window awning. Waited several days and received no response, so we called on July 9th, and again on July 10th and the 13th. Jamie returned call later on the 13th and scheduled a time to come to the house to measure window, for the July 16th. We waited all afternoon~no call, no show. Thought he would call the next day and reschedule~no call, no show. They were, at one time, a top notch business, but no more. Have done a lot of business with them in the past and was satisfied. Whoever is "running the show" now needs to comprehend what customer service is all about. I would give them a minus rating if I could. read more

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. IN January bills are sent out. I promptly paid the bill and requested them to install them April they got installed middle of June WHAT OMG Then I asked for an awning to be fixed. One awning the hem fixed. They send me an outrageous bill for a minor job but I paid it. Well LO AND BEHOLD awnings FINALLY up and NO repair.. Whats up with that!!!! I work HARD for my money and I got NOTHING but very poor service... My Dad got the awning from the " other awning place in Erie" Had them for years. My Dad put and took the awning down himself No problem. Then my Dad died in 2000 my Brother took on the job.. Again no problem Well my brother died in 2017 I am a female and I was going to the other awning place place and they came and put up and took it down for a reasonable place and no long delays .. Well sudden the other awning place went out of business.. Since we been with Al's it been a joke... We know they got dumped on by the other awning company suddenly closing two years ago. But that is two years ago. You have long waits for them to come and take it up and down... The place was $62.00 to put it up and down Thought it was a little over priced... This Spring they put the awning up and broke one of the cramps by the house, was told someone would come and fix it.. This was April, it is now Oct... have not seen anyone. As they were putting up the awning, I mentioned we planned on getting the house painted this summer... As how much would it cause to just get the awning top away from the house for a day and put it back.... $100.00 Thank God I had good painters who protected the awning and only got a couple spots on it.. Then about a week ago and now it is $90.00 to take a awning and and store it... I can Store it in my basement , my Dad did for years I am on Social Security and it did not up that much this year.. Awful customer service. They had my awning in for a minor repair for a month and when I called to ask when I could expect it back, Amber told me the repair man was out for the day, but she would call the next morning and let me know. I never received a return call the following day or the day after. When I called again to ask where my awning was and why it took so long, I was told I could come get my awning. I said no, I want it repaired. Amber asked if I wanted the owner to call me the next day and I said yes. The owner never called me. My awning was back two days later and the repair looks like hell. We have used Al's Awning every year for the past 5+ years to set up a tent for us at the March of Dimes walk. This year, they never showed up and didn't answer any of our calls on their so called "emergency" phone number. The lady at Al's Awning blamed us for the entire disaster because we didn't sign the PO (which she never told us we had to). We thought that Al's Awning was a very reliable business considering how many years we did business with them. However, this year proved to be the exact opposite and we will not be using them in the future. Too bad.... read more
