We waited patiently for the guy to pump some tubes up and then he realized he only had 5 of the 6 we ordered. He went in to check on the 6th tube to come back and tell it had been double booked. We looked at him and he just shrugged his shoulders, like oh well. When we asked our options, he said he could give us a paddle board for the same price. We didn't want the paddle board, but because we needed more adults to go down the river to help supervise the kids, we agreed. Then the Paddle broke right as we started the trip. The shop wanted to charge us $120 for the replacement, but said he would cut us a deal and only charge us $75 for a paddle we didn't want to begin with. Since our family has rented there multiple times, I thought they would work with us on the charge. We broke it, I get it...but who is to say it was not already cracked. It was definitely not new and the equipment was covered in dust and dirt. Just felt like they were unprofessional in how this was handled all the way around. Keep shopping folks, there is better customer service in Telluride than this shop. Won't be back.

They have an excellent selection of new and used bikes, electric bikes, daily bike rentals, cycling accessories, apparel, and energy supplements--everything you need whether you're a serious cyclist or just exploring Telluride for the day. The shop has a huge TV playing the latest cycling races, and they even offer complimentary coffee while you hang out. If you've ever rented skis, you know what an enormous pain and time suck it is and that you end up…read morewith some equipment that often looks like somebody's been using it to ski in a gravel pit (even if you cough up the extra $10-$20 for a better package). Enter Black Tie with better equipment, comparable prices, and THEY COME TO YOU!!! That's right, you reserve online or call them and they bring everything you need to your door. My wife didn't really understand until they showed up at our door at the night before skiing. They bring a couple of boot size variations, a few pole sizes, and make sure things fit. When you're done, they come back by (or you can leave youf stuff at some hotels). These guys don't even have a storefront (which keeps their prices the same as traditional rental locations). We didn't take advantage of it, but they also sell the usual hand/toe warmers, gloves, socks, sunscreen, etc. I wish I had known about these guys before. I stopped carrying my skis a few years back (they were woefully outdated) and don't know that I'll buy a new set as this is way more pleasant.

The rental employees are rude to customers, the new ownership won't allow walk-ins at all and, even after receiving gear, they won't allow customers to come in and tweak their sizing after 5 p.m. Basically, the store has developed an air of superiority that is very disrespectful and casts the entire ski resort in a negative light. It will be Christy's from here on out even though we get the 10% off at T-Sports. The new ownership just doesn't seem to care.

I tried it on inside and easily made the choice bc there were only two left. They even had a super small sale section in an upstairs annex as well as a rack out on the sidewalk with items discounted. The following day - before we went for a hike and headed out of town - my friend and I walked by on our way to coffee and I saw the dress I had purchased not more than 24 hours before discounted by 20%. I grabbed it and took it inside and asked the gal behind the counter if I could get a price match since I had just bought the exact dress. She said when they have two items or less they do that... they had two when I bought mine. She said she'd have to ask the manager/owner and I said, "Please do". Fortunately, she was right around the corner and she came over and easily said, "Of course I'll do that" and they refunded me $25. She was so nice. She said she totally understood and she was going to wear the same dress to a wedding that weekend. So friendly, and such an easy thing to do. Highly recommend. I went into a few of the other shops while here and no one was as easygoing and friendly as this shop.
