I have honestly thought long and hard about this rating. I am 22, I am a student at BYU and I am from Texas. This is the first place I lived after my mission. I have lived at Alpine Village for the past year and I will not sign a contract for next year. My first impressions of the complex and management was awful because my apartment was not cleaned before I moved in. The apartment was filthy. The fridge was filled with rotten food. The cupboards were filled with the previous owner's belongings. It was filthy. We contacted management and we were told that we would move in as is, so that is not management's responsibility. Rude. My roommates and I worked together to clean it up and we kept the place pretty clean, which made the apartment seem really nice. I kept my room clean and there was enough space to store everything. It was kind of small, but what do you expect from a college apartment. I really liked the size of the bathroom and vanity. It was a great size and everything seemed like great quality. I had a few interactions with management and they eventually helped me. It took awhile, but actions were taken and I was happy. The repairmen and cleaning crew are all so nice!!!!! I had a problem with a drawer and they fixed it right away. The repairman was so nice and I am happy he is employed with Alpine Village. Pricing. I recommend you read the entire contract before you sign. There are fees that occur every month. In my opinion they should be combined with the total cost of rent, but they are not. Nonetheless, they are listed in the contract. The fees include internet, cable, renters fee. I signed paying 449$ a month and with the price of utilities and other fees (NOT INCLUDING PARKING) i was paying around 515 every month. Then an additional 35 a month for parking (i heard that this is going up) Yes parking was expensive, yes i was bothered that they would charge so much, BUT i always found a parking spot and it was covered. I really, really, really liked my bishop and the other ward leadership. They really tried to be involved and I enjoyed church. I felt like I did not know many people in the ward because it was pretty small and I was unable to go to activities with my work schedule. However, I would say that a younger crowd seems to live at Alpine Village. I go to BYU and I felt like a lot of the students went to UVU and they were younger than me. This is fine, but i want to say my opinion for future people willing to sign. As a whole, I was paying around $550 a month to live here. I was upset with the price, but then i realized that 550 is not that outrageous for a private room, parking, and a good distance to campus. I had a car so sometimes i drove and parked on campus, or sometimes I walked. I hope this helps you determine if this is a place for you. I gave it a 3/5 star rating because it was nice always being able to find parking. As long as you keep your kitchen and room clean the apartment feels pretty spacious, and I felt like for the most part it was in a convenient location to campus. Alpine Village lost stars when i first moved in and how disgusting my apartment was. I hope they can resolve that issue in future move in phases. I also felt like the fee's, though were not hidden, caught me off guard. To add, I think that I would have enjoyed more BYU students and ward interaction. Moving here was an okay choice for me. It was simple to sign here, there were openings, and I did not have a terrible experience. Now looking back at it though, I wish i lived south of campus where more BYU students live in Provo. (also i recommend to anyone to try to live with at least one person you know. I had a good relationship with some of my roommates, while others I rarely spoke to. The person you decide to live with does not need to be your best friend, but it can be someone you know from your home ward or mission or someone from a class. Living with strangers is hard and makes you feel a little alone sometimes.) It was a good year at Alpine Village. Hope this helps. read more

Worst experience for my daughter! Office staff changed the locks without notifying my daughter. Hall ways are dirty and smell, Roommates were emotionally abusive to my daughter, clean checks are a joke, one of them being relief society president set a terrible example as LDS member. Don't stay here. Spoke to office managers and they would not do anything about the problems. Stuck paying for rent when my daughter was locked out of apartment and roommates were mean. When she moved in the apartment was disgusting. We had to clean everything! Mold, dirty cabinets, left overs kitchen items from two previous tenants we were told, bathroom with old menstruation pads in a bag on shelf, horrible living situation. read more

Unfortunately while the complex is a great location, it has not been maintained at all. Upon move-in, the state of the department was deplorable. It literally smelled and looked like the carpet hadn't been cleaned in years, the walls and paint are filthy and needed re-touching probably 3 years ago, the bathrooms were filthy, the previous tenants left personal things everywhere that had not been cleaned up, and the tile was just black with filth. The rent is extremely overpriced for what you are getting. The management has been nearly impossible to work with in regards to the state of the apartment. We finally paid to get the carpets and tile cleaned ourselves because it was not livable. If we could get out of the contract, we would. Highly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Alpine Village, aka Redstone LLC, are absolute crooks!! They do not divulge utility charges in the resident portal so you have no idea what the actual utility company is charging, plus they overcharge for everything, and they look for any possible way to scam the residents for extra money, i.e. fail tenants on cleaning checks no matter how clean you make your apartment, charge extra service fees each month.. for what?, , etc. etc. If your idea of a good time is living in a dirty, concrete box with tiny bedrooms and too high of prices, oh and don't forget, getting overcharged for everything... then Alpine Village is the place for you! Answer me this... how does it work out that in our apartment of four people, two of which moved out two months early (so the apartment had two less people living in it)... explain how the utilities still continued to increase? Here's another mystery... how, if our utilities were averaging between $75-$80 per month per roommate, is Alpine going to go to a flat rate of $60 per month per roommate, and then what?, eat it on the difference?? The utility company didn't just suddenly drop their rates to accommodate that flat rate. Hmmm, seems highly suspicious to me. If I were a student looking for housing in Provo, Utah, I would RUN not walk as fast as I could AWAY from signing a lease at Alpine Village. I wish I had seen all these reviews before I ever decided to live there! read more

I lived here 2.5 years. The management just got worse and worse over the course of my time there. The only good thing was the maintenance people who were nice and quick to fulfill requests. I got lucky with my roommates and placement in the complex, but overall not worth the experience for how high the rent was for me. read more

Beware. These reviews are true! My daughter had her things removed twice by management! The second time they threw everything away! Manager Scott said as soon as my daughter came into the office, he would help. But when she did, get got defiant towards her and said what do you want me to do about it! What? You are the manager! You promised for weeks to help her and then you throw her out. Manager Scott says they NEVER make mistakes. Then he says he is only one guy with 7000 units. He said he can't do it all himself. But then his staff makes mistakes! HE makes mistakes and refuses to assist! The students living there have ZERO help from management. They made THREE mistakes and REFUSE to help or correct. Manager Scott admits they made the mistakes! But then says oh well. Unlawful entry of your apartment? yep we did that and took your things! But we said sorry. Like that fixes anything! She is out over $1600 dollars' worth of her apartment items! We got cameras to protect our daughter from them coming in and stealing her things for the 3rd time! Why is my daughter still there? Funny you should wonder! It's gets better! She tried to sell her contract, but guess what?? When you send someone in to look at the complex, the management offers YOUR LEAD a reduced price and STEALS the lead and signs them up for them. And they have to promise not to say anything! 6 people had been sent in to look at her apartment. Only one felt bad and told my daughter what was happening! They my daughter was sending in people in good faith only to have management steal them over and over and over! Protect your kids from this place! read more

I have had so many problems living here. They sent me to collections for a bill I already paid, but the office didn't record. They set up my email wrong and didn't change it. They charge unfair fees whenever they want. Nothing about this place is fair or honest, I almost got an attorney involved multiple times. Save yourself the misery and don't live here. read more

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL AND THEY WILL SCAM YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY WITH NO CARES. (Don't listen to any responses to the reviews. They don't respond and don't care. It's all for appearance) They are absolutely awful and 100% just a scam. Everything they do is to try and steal as much money as they can from you. They will increase the fees from what is in the lease (which happens to be illegal and in violation of the Utah Fit Premise Act but is not something that can be a cause for legal action so they do it anyway), they will try to find any way they can to charge with bogus fees and then threaten you by saying they will issue a notice to vacate if you put up a fight and by saying they are talking with their legal team. My utility bill for the first 6 months was roughly $40-$50 a month then it spiked to $75 then $98 and then $76 again. I asked alpine for over a month to provide me with the usage reports to see what the problem was and got nothing. It took over a month of asking before they finally met with me and told me they had spent countless hours making sure everything is accurate but couldn't tell me a single thing as to why it went up. They finally offered me $60 as "compensation to help out" but it came with strings attached as a settlement agreement saying I couldn't discuss it with anyone. In the same meeting I was told that I would be able to get at least part of the usage reports yet after a week I still had nothing. I asked them about it and they responded by saying their legal team strongly advised against that. It is my opinion that they are intentionally increasing utilities to allow them to charge a $60 flat rate fee stating in the next lease cycle and profit off that because the utility charges are routinely lower than $50. Please take my advice and live somewhere else. The management is awful and borderline criminal. The place isn't even that nice and you completely over pay for everything. It's not worth it. such a scam, they charge $300+ per apartment for utilities. this was my second year living here and it went downhill hard this last year. base price was advertised as $585 but after all these bogus fees i don't think i ever paid under $730. they will nickel and dime you for any and everything (cleaning checks are a joke, almost always a $30 fee bc of the tiniest speck). i'd rather live in my car than live here again. save some money and find literally anywhere else and it'll be better. read more

Just signed a lease here where they said they would accommodate roomate recommendations which they did not do, when I asked to switch roommates they wouldn't help and said it would be a 250 dollar fee per person which is bs. I moved out of my apartment in October due to a bad environment. I have not been able to sell my apartment because of the state it is in. The apartment is missing one couch and a table. When I moved in, my room was dirty and had thumbtacks in the walls. I received a cleaning check fee so I went to check on the state of the apartment before the office opened. I was planning on doing some cleaning before turning my keys in due to the fact I'm  leaving to go back home for a month in preparation for my wedding. When I opened my door I saw I could not lock my door. I informed the office about everything stated above and was told to send in a picture of mail going to a different address proving I don't live at Alpine Village. She was very helpful in helping me know what to do and told me I was 7th on the list to sell my apartment and that they'd look into my apartment. When I went back in January to show my apartment to a potential buyer the office had told me in front of the potential buyer that they couldn't find my keys. I then decided to just go and knock on the door in hopes someone would answer the door. When I entered I realized the office hadn't done anything to fix the situation I made them aware of the beginning of December. My room still couldn't be locked and they hadn't followed through. Not only that but now I am still paying for an apartment that continues to go up in price due to utilities I'm not using. I don't have access to my apartment and am still paying for it. This is wrong. I have been paying two rents since October due to the fact I can't sell my lease at alpine village due to the state it is in and the inability they have to fix it. I have shown the apartment numerous times and have posted and reposted the apartment on many byu and uvu Facebook pages with no luck. I know people at alpine village who have been able to sell their leases while mine has been impossible to sell. This is wrong. All I want is to stop paying for this contract! read more

there are bugs coming into my room through a window, and i have asked for pest control help from the complex and they will not help me. i am sleeping in a bed with bugs coming into it. they also close the leasing office earlier than they are supposed to so im never able to talk to them, and they never answer my calls. very frustrating and gross. i dont like being in my own apartment and no one will listen to me. read more

I cleaned for five hours before I moved out and the apartment was spotless however. However, they proceeded to fail all of the in my apartment do to marks on the wall that we had spent 45 minutes trying to remove and that we had not made ourselves. They also charge several fees that make the rent extremely not a good deal. For example the cleaning fee for failing was over $75 read more

Too expensive for what you pay for. Living here this year has been a nightmare. They charge a ton for bogus utility fees and the hot tub was out of service for like 5 months. they fixed up everything after leaving it in disrepair for 6 months in time for new people to move in. Don't be fooled by the rent price. this complex charges you for every little thing. Just this past month they charged triple the price of utilities which was already around $60. That's an extra $180, and this happened to ALL the residents on this particular month. They gave pretty lousy excuses too, with some random stock website to explain away the inconsistency. Nope. Parents and students do not work with these people. They are not honest. On-site manager gave us a tour and said parking was available. Great. Paid all the fees, signed agreements, deposit, rent, etc and guess what, no parking. They suggested we park at Cane's next door. Really? Yes, really. Provo is the world capital for wheel boots and towed vehicles. Not going to happen. Asked to cancel the agreement and for an immediate refund and they declined to address the refund expeditiously. Can take $1,500 in ten seconds but absolutely refused to cancel the financial transaction. Borderline fraudulent behavior. I asked to speak to the manager and they refused to escalate; wouldn't even give me a name. Unbelievable. Management strategically hides behind the staff and fails to empower the employees to correct their mistakes. (In this case the on site manager was hiding behind a plate glass window where we could see she was avoiding us.) Weak, incompetent management. I've lived in Alpine Village for about 4 months now and have only had positive interactions with all the staff. I read previous reviews and have had none of the same problems with management or anyone working here. When I was signing my contract (under different management) they made a bunch of promises like free motorcycle parking and a guaranteed car parking pass. The new and current management followed through with everything the previous management said they would do. Since moving in we've had normal maintenance issues like plumbing issues with our sink. After filling out the request we had Lucas in our apartment the next day and we super nice and immediately fixed all the issues. A lot of the reviews mentioned poor front office staff. I've lived in Provo student housing for three years and BY FAR this is the best office I've ever dealt with. They're all super kind and whenever I've had a question or concern they've always immediately answered it or found someone who could. I would definitely recommend living here. read more

If you have any other choice, take it over Alpine Village. I would not ever recommend living here to anyone. They need a serious overhaul of how they manage the place , because honestly it's ridiculous and theft. They are taking advantage of college students just because they can. They hike prices up for no reason whatsoever. The amenities are always down. They are horrible at communicating with tenants. It takes an act of God to get them to respond to messages and to actually answer their phones. The only way to get a response quickly is to go into the office and speak to someone. Even then, you will be lied to over and over again because the next time you talk to someone, you will be told something completely different than before. Alpine Village are liars and thieves. They're incompetent at best. My experience there was the worst time in my entire life. I was first told a parking pass was included in the contract I bought , which was a lie. When I moved in, I had to park 15-20 minutes away and walk in the snow until a parking pass became available. The way they charge for utilities is ridiculous. You're essentially paying utility usage for the entire complex and not just for your apartment. Cleaning checks are an absolute joke. They'll penalize you for one thing one time and then won't for the very same thing the next time. Don't even get me started on the ridiculous monthly fees that are added on top of your monthly rent. Moving out was the worst experience. They will nickel and dime you over everything in retaliation for moving out. They tried to make me pay for damages a previous tenant caused, tried to say I didn't turn my keys in and charge me for them when I turned them into the office in person. Apparently they had a substitute from another property that day and they tried to say that person's incompetence was somehow my fault. Then they charged me for utilities after I moved out and claimed I still owned the contract and was responsible for those charges. Absolutely ridiculous and pathetic. Do not even try to bring concerns up to management because they won't do anything about it. This review won't mean anything to them, but at least this may keep someone else from having to go through the hell I have had to. Read all of these negative reviews for what there are. This place is truly horrendous and they are not an exaggeration of what your experience will be like if you live here. Avoid living here at all costs. worst place to live in Provo. first our toilet flooded multiple times which spread toilet water and my roommates poop all around the floor. I completed a maintenance request and it took about a week for them to come take a look and when they did look they literally fixed nothing and it's about a 50/50 chance it will clog again. then the sink started clogging and I couldn't do my dishes and it took them a week to fix it. Then our fridge broke and a lot of my food went bad. I went to the leasing office multiple times a day for them to get someone to fix it right away but it took like 5 days for them to replace it... when they finally did replace the fridge they gave us one that was A LOT smaller and then they left the old fridge in the living room for a couple of days. They also almost lost one of my packages. I have had to talk to the front desk so many times they probably all know who I am. apartment 218 in case they forgot. I hate living here so much. read more

I lived here for 3 full years until I decided I had enough. While the underground parking is nice, I found that the steep and narrow ramps were scary when some drivers drove recklessly up and down. Also, the prices for rent kept going up, and the utilities were overpriced. The TV never ever worked, no matter how many maintenance requests I sent in, except through an HDMI cord, and the noise level was terrible at evening time. One of the absolute worst parts about this complex was how inconsistent the cleaning checks were. Some months, they didn't seem to care and barely looked at anything, making it unfair for me that I cleaned meticulously and my roommate hadn't cleaned at all and still created the same passing result. Some months, the cleaning checkers were way too strict and failed us for the most ridiculous reasons. Additionally, the internet was always inconsistent. There just wasn't enough internet for 4 people using it at the same time. The location was nice and close to school, but I think that people can find better deals elsewhere. read more

I wish I read the reviews before moving here. I just moved in and my apartment was filthy. The fridge smelled like something had died in it, the floor was dusty and sticky, the bathroom sinks don't drain, my bed was sticky and dusty, and there are blood and ink stains on my carpet. I called and complained about it 3 or 4 times already and they said that they won't be able to send in the cleaners until mid-September. That is not okay or fair to us who are new and moving into the apartment. The customer service sucks and they don't seem to care about their tenants. Not to mention everything is overpriced. I am extremely dissatisfied with the whole situation. I will not be renewing my lease. read more

I was living in on the East coast for the summer, and on my drive to good old Provo, UT received videos and pictures of the apartment I would soon call home. It was horrifying. There were long dark hairs all over the kitchen, the counters were slathered with weeks old food, found some kind of unidentifiable poop by the fridge, walking down the hallway into the bathroom their was still poop skid marks left for us from the previous tenants. The dryer had gunk all over it. We complained, and nothing happened. In the contract it states if you aren't satisfied they would send professional cleaners in. That NEVER happened. Through out the year my roommates and I had several issues with Alpine Village. I don't recommend my worst enemy to live at this place. One of my roommates paid rent via check. A week later she got a notice on her door saying she didn't pay. Her check never went through, and they lost her check. So she wrote another check. A few months later, her bank account had withdrawn money from Alpine Village. Alpine Village had found the lost check, and deposited... causing her to get fees from her bank because she hadn't planned on Alpine village finding the check and depositing it. We told them 9 months before our contract ended that we wanted our contracts sold ASAP. We did everything in our power to sell the contract and were verbally promised that they would be sold. That didn't happen, and now we are still stuck in the apartment. The Soda really isn't free, you get 4 free soda a month, after that they charge you for it. Utilities I paid close to $40 a month between the 4 roommates that's $120. Pretty sure I can find a house that has cheaper utilities. Pretty sure Harry Potters closet under the stairs is bigger then the room you will get at Alpine Village. Management won't work with you. And the office is always on the office phone texting back and forth to who knows who if you have a problem. If I went in for a problem, they would tell me, "Oh we will text so and so about that....." Girl... How do I know you doing anything to fix that problem? Everything they did was over text.. for all I know they could have been stalking their ex boyfriends new girlfriend instead of helping me out. Very unprofessional. In the winter our potty had clogged. A few hours later our dishwasher drain was no longer working, and the dishwasher water had flooded our kitchen and clogged the sink up. A few hours later, our washer stopped working. I cleaned up the flooded waters but still wasn't able to use our kitchen sink because the dishwasher and sink are connected and the water was just filling up in the kitchen sink. I put in a written notice. No one came to help that day. The next day I sent in a notice before work. Came home from work. Toilet still clogged, sink slash dishwasher still broken, and washer down. I went to the office. FINALLY the next morning someone came to take care of our issues. Not sanitary at all. The parking garage sucks and I have a nice scratch on my 2014 passenger side. As you leave the parking garage many idiot teenage 18 or 19 year old drivers will whip into or out of the parking lot. As I was leaving I checked to see if I was in the clear, I was, next think I know a driver whipped around and to avoid a head on collision I had to move over slightly scratching my car. Also mailbox keys are a joke. Mine got stuck in the mailbox key a lot. Eventually I just had my mail go to another friends. They through a party near Halloween every year. I lived on the 2nd story and it shook my windows. I had worked a double at the nursing home and was home for a quick 7.5 hours of sleep before my next shift. I didn't get much sleep that night, and ended up filing a noise complaint through the cops. It was a school night none the less. I've lived in 9 apartments, and this hands down was the worst complex I have stayed in. The management is not helpful at all and you do not get what you pay for. read more

The management at Alpine Village is very dishonest and unhelpful. When I went to move out after selling my contract, I was informed that my last month's rent, which I had paid before moving in, would not be applied to my last month (or refunded) at Alpine because that money was specifically for August 2019. So they charged me 5 months of rent to live here for 4 months. I am furious. Additionally, utilities were around $90 a month per person. When we went to the office to figure out that extremely high payment, they did little to help besides printing off a sheet and saying their accountants plugged numbers into an agorithum and they couldn't help us. We routinely failed cleaning checks for no reason. We had to send pictures of our clean apartment to the office before and after cleaning checks to make sure they had proof it was clean since the checker was a joke. Also, on rechecks, they sent a man into our apartment who didn't seem to care that there were undressed and sleeping girls in the areas he was checking. When I signed my contract, they told me that I could have a parking pass no problem. But when I moved in, they told me the parking passes were sold out and I'd have to go on a waiting list. They didn't say anything about filling out forms when I was signing my contract. I waited for months for a parking pass. In December (right now), they finally told me I could have a parking pass for my last 20 days here, if I wanted to pay $200 for it. There is a special key fob that gives you access to the clubhouse and amenities. They were out of them for a long time. Which means for over two months I was paying for amenities (like the pool, hot tub, soda machine, gym, and clubhouse) that I couldn't even use because I didn't have the stupid key fob. Overall, the apartments are small, dirty, and gross. The social life here is good, which is this apartment complex's only redeeming quality. I would never advise a friend to live here. Your money will be robbed. You will regret moving here almost instantly. read more

Short version: I don't reccomend living here. Like most of Provo they care more about your money than you. I usually don't care to put reviews on food or things. I choose alpine village because of its location and seemingly good atmosphere. Truth is if you're moving in to go to college here, keep in mind you're moving into a pretty expensive city that's expensive for no other reason than to gouge college students. Alpine village their worst offender claiming innocence, hiding behind their lease agreement for not actually justifying why it's unnecessarily expensive. For example it's $175 for actually selling your contract early (once you realize the mistake of living here). Under the circumstances (being a massive virus and that I am not from here) all they have shown in happy worded emails piled with exclamation points is that they don't actually care about the resident but that they have their pockets lined with more money than one of us would ever make. read more

Worst management there is. They lie over and over again and they don't know what they are doing half of the time. There is always massive hidden fees that they tell you there isn't going to be. I had proof through an email about how much I would be getting back and how much things cost and they still refused to pay me the correct amount when moving out. Utilities is always through the roof as well. I payed over 90$ alone one month and they refused to show me documentation when I asked why it was so high. I also got double charged for utilities when I moved out and they refused to give me a month back. They are also very rude at times and treat you like your easily replaceable. I would never ever move back here due to the management. The living might be nice but the management is terrible and clueless. read more

I lived in Alpine Village for a semester and it was not at all what I was expecting. My rent was $469 base for a VERY small private room and not much storage. There was a long waiting list for parking so I was unable to get a spot the entire four months I lived there even when there was plenty of spots always available in the parking garage. I ended up parking at a nearby hotel for four months and walking back and forth. The utilities they told me would be $40-60 a month, and they usually were about $70 a month and we didn't use that much electricity or gas (they do charge for everything as well) and they said it would be individual apartment metered but it was basically us paying for them to heat the hot tub and paying just as much as neighbors who left their lights on all night. The utility bill got bigger and bigger each month. When I moved out, they were extremely difficult to work with. They did return my deposit (minus a little bit for selling the contract before the lease ended), however it was a few days outside of the 30 day window that it was supposed to be returned. Prior to moving in, I had to pay the rent for August at the end of the rent term+ a couple days in August at the beginning of the rent term. This was not returned to me when I moved out in December. There is no where in the lease that says this prepaid rent is non-refundable, however they came up with plenty of random excuses that made no sense as to why I couldn't get my money back. Eventually it got to the point where I contacted the BYU Off-Campus Housing office and requested a mediation because the money was being held and was being transferred to my buyer when I specifically signed an agreement that it would not be transferred. Once I requested that, all of a sudden Alpine Village was super willing to work with me and refund me a portion of the money. Moral of the story: I would not recommend. I think the utilities were more than they should have been, rent was too high for what you got, the management was incredibly hard to deal with, and it's nearly impossible to get money back that you should have been refunded. So, if you do choose to live here, make sure you get your money back when you move out!! It is managed by Redstone Residential and they own a lot of properties in the area, some of which I have lived in. At every place they are difficult to work with and getting money back is a hassle. They pretty much charge you for anything they possibly can. I wouldn't really recommend any property owned by them either. read more

I am sad to be writing a negative review for Alpine Village. I loved the people, the ward, and the environment of Alpine Village, but the management is dishonest and unfair. I paid for an underground parking pass while living there. I lost my parking pass which was of course my own fault, but to replace the 1 inch by 2 inch sticker they wanted to charge me $50. I didn't want to pay $50 for a sticker so I decided I'd park a few blocks down the road and cancel my parking pass. This, they informed me, was going to cost $50 to replace the sticker, and then $50 to cancel my parking pass. They told me it was in the contract that I signed. After asking 3 times for a copy of the contract they finally gave it to me. I read the whole contract and those fees were not listed. There are better places to live that will be much cheaper. Penny pinchers... I had such a horrible experience here and they will pinch every penny out of you! I moved out months before my contract was up due to having a family emergency and I couldn't sell out, which I understand I signed the contract and all. But here's where they really pissed me off, I wasn't living there and they were failing me for cleaning checks because my roommates weren't willing to clean up after themselves. So every month I paid an extra $50 when I wasn't living there, when I called to ask them to stop failing me because I wasn't living there they replied with "you signed the contract so you are responsible"! So move out comes and I already had everything moved out at this point I just had to turn in my keys, well I get a notification saying I had another payment to make, they were going to charge me another $50 for not turning in a parking pass. I never had a parking pass!!! Called them and told them and they said the only person who could help me was a manager so I asked to speak with a manager and they said he wasn't in so I gave them my information and I never heard back from them. Don't waste your time with this place they don't care about you all they care about is your money. read more

Don't expect to get your deposit back, even if you sell your contract. They have created a "contract transfer fee" to allow them to basically keep your deposit even though you sell your contract and they are out not one penny. Such dishonesty is hard to believe. But they can get away with it because they are "approved BYU housing" and there are only so many options read more

Don't live here!! There were recently cleaning checks and usually they don't check the furnace closet. My roommates stuff is inside of it and technically it's not supposed to be. She told me NOT to move her stuff and that they won't check it. Low and behold I failed my cleaning checks because of HER stuff being in the closet. They say that after cleaning checks they say you have 48 hours to email them and resolve any issue. I emailed them twice, and never heard back. I find this completely unprofessional. The front desk doesn't do anything to help besides tell me to send an email. I send emails but never get a response back. It's totally unfair that I have to pay this recheck fee for something that was out of my control. Very unhappy with alpine village and I'm moving as soon as I find someone to buy my contract. read more

I hope I can stir as many people away from this place as possible! Going here was the worst experience of my college life! Management is awful they don't care about you or your convenience at all, but get ready for a ton of convenience fees. Their cleaning checks are a joke. They tell you at first it's $420 plus utilities. I haven't lived there sense March because of corona, only 1 person lives at the apartment right now and I have been paying over $570 a month! I've been living here for 3 years and the previous office workers were very accommodating and understanding. The new ones won't do anything to help. I got 10 people to resign this year and 5 people to sign here. When resigning they had a lot of issues getting my contract back and making sure I had parking. I've called for 2 weeks leaving voicemails and I finally get in town and go to the office to talk to someone and all they say is they can't help me because it's past the date for early move in. I'd been calling for 2 weeks with no reply. The lady in the office didn't try to do anything to help me and told me I can't move in for 10 days and I have nowhere to live even though I'd already signed up and tried to get a hold of them 2 weeks before coming. I was very excited to move back but the new office staff is not accommodating or understanding in the slightest. Also parking used to be a flat fee and has gone up significantly this year. I believe it used to be a flat fee of $50-75 and now it's $20-35 monthly. That is an insane change of price in 1 year. I'm very disappointed in all the new negative changes in staff, hospitality, and prices this year. read more

College towns have a lot of options for apartments. This is probably one you want to avoid. Yes, it has it's perks. It has a pool, gym, free soda, basketball courts, and is in a pretty good location. However, the rooms are tiny. Like, so tiny I left a bunch of my stuff in my car because they didn't fit in my apartment. Also, utilities are out of control. Utilities anywhere else are typically $20-$30. At alpine village, they're $60. That took my rent all the way up to $415. Also, at the end of the year, they didn't return my whole deposit for fees they couldn't explain. In my opinion, you can find a lot of better options in Provo. read more

Fun property and nice apartments. Private rooms are great and amenities are nice (hot tub, gym) Underground parking is a lifesaver during the winter snowy months. Most of the people that I've met that live here are very nice, friendly and fun. Office staff is great, although you really don't see them much once you check in as you pay rent online. read more

Not happy with this place! We moved in Aug 2017 to find a dirty apartment with trash on the kitchen table that had been there awhile. WiFi did t work for over a month, several maintenance requests over 9 months including no hot water (in winter).. Also rent is very expensive and it's an older place. But the icing on the cake was when we moved out and didn't get our full deposit back. We cleaned the room completely including dusting and wiping down baseboards yet was charged for both! Do yourself a favor and look further. Not cool! read more
