In addition to the $145 maximum towing charge allowed by law in Miami Dade County, Florida they added another $231 they called it a "communication/administration fee" for sending a letter. They couldn't show me proof of the letter or why it cost that much. They also claimed to have stored the car 2 days which is a blatant lie because I had used it the night before. When I complained and continued to ask questions, they simply closed the window on my face. Truly frustrating and degrading experience dealing with these people. I felt like they were robbing me and there was nothing I do but pay if I wanted to get my car back. read more

I did not choise this TRASH company ran by a little boy. AAA sent them. His driver was told many times he was there to TOW the car: He hooked up a battery and then started the car making my engine damage worse. I yelled for him to shut off the car . The little man called me and informed me that his driver was doing his job. He said my ebrake was stuck. First of all... the accessory mode would have be enough to undo an ebrake. But it is a STICK SHIFT and was in neutral!!!!!! The guy had ZERO idea what he was doing !!!! The little man back at the shop told the driver to leave me there. I was pissed of course and tried to call back the office .... No answer... little man had his say. I called AAA back and they sent a professional out to get me but before they did .... The tow truck drove past me with a new car on the back and gave me the finger..... this company needs to be out of business but at bare minimum AAA needs to stop sending them to their calls. I don't recommend this company, they picked up my car from home and dropped it at the dealer with no tag, it "magically" disapeared. Their customer service is terribly bad and they took no responsibility for the issue. Usually criminals steal tags for roberies or for vehicles with no registration. The customer service here is awful. They are not professional at all. We tried to get our car but the women working the window was extremely rude and not compliant at all. We informed her that we did not have some documentation due to the name being under a parent and she would not release our car. This is my first one star review of Alpine Towing, Inc located on 17528 S Dixie Highway in Palmetto. I've posted this review with the same company name but different location. Apparently this location does not have a Yelp account. April Fools?! Except the joke is on me today. I woke up this morning, wandering aimlessly around the parking lot in search of my vehicle. "Where did you park your car Fred?" I tell myself. A friendly neighbor notices this behavior and yells, "last night there was a towing crack down! Over 9 vehicles were towed, including yours!" Jaw dropping, I can't believe it. But how could this be possible when I'm parked in a visitor spot. On Call, Inc the service that monitors registered vehicles on behalf of Apartments around South Miami had authorized the tow and if you aren't on their list of registered / approved vehicles that can park in visitor spots then voila! You get towed. Unfortunately, their system of monitoring vehicles requires 30 day renewals and if you receive a warning sticker, then your vehicle is put on a restricted vehicle list which requires a 30 day waiting period before you can begin the process of re-registering the vehicle. Alas, my vehicle was not re-registered because not only does this service not answer phone calls, but their system and app is completely unfriendly to users. It was the perfect S*^T storm. Calling Alpine Towing, I confirmed the inevitable. "Bring your vehicle registration and $125 cash." Next problem: the vehicle was still registered to my ex wife, who was in Iowa presumably in surgery. Another string of unresolved issues haunting me. Yet Alpine Towing wouldn't release the vehicle unless the Ex furnished an original notarized letter! So here I was at stuck trying to convince them that a fax would do or a picture text even! Then there was the matter of changing the tire. As luck would have it I had a nail stuck in the tire on my rear driver-side tire. Thankfully I was allowed to change it during my 4 hour wait. Eventually the notarized letter came from the Ex and then Alpine Towing insisted on a copy of Ex's driver license too, which came next and I got my vehicle back. read more

Robbie is the absolute best! I initially called to inquire about pricing and options. Each time I called, the front office was receptive of my needs, answered all my calls promptly and were flexible with me as I explored my options. Once I called, Robbie showed up within 30 minutes, and was thorough, communicative, and incredibly careful to ensure my car was removed from a very tight garage safely and with no damage. Once the car was on its way, Miguel then called to provide me a status update on delivery and timing (unprompted) and I then received a phone call & text proof of my vehicles delivery to its destination from Robbie! I blame the shady and greedy ALF who called Alpine to tow my vehicle. What I do blame Alpine Towing for is STEALING my 2023 decal off my license plate. They actually stole 2019-2023 decals also because I do not take them off my license plate. So now my paid for license plate says it expired 2018. Called to complain and the representative says this is happening all over Miami. Ironically I cleaned my SUV the day before. I am picky about keeping her clean that I actually cleaned the license plate and I saw the 2023 decal the night before. I park my vehicle in my enclosed garage. Where I got my car towed from is the very first place I drove to the next day. They towed my SUV within 30 minutes of parking. No one can tell me Alpine did not STEAL these decals. So, if you unfortunately get your vehicle towed from Alpine, be sure to check your license plate. The decal is turning into the most aggravating part of this nightmare experience! read more

PSA - should you need you car towed your better of trying to literally push it to your destination yourself than calling Alpine towing. We contacted Alpine the through insurance at -12:55 AM on a Sunday night. We're we're originally quoted a 75 minute wait time but at 1:30 AM ewe received a call letting us know dispatch was 20 minutes away. Due to the time of night we were instructed to leave the car unlocked with the keys inside if we couldn't stay but the car and then after that we heard from no one for the next HOUR, it's now 2:30 in the morning and 3 difference customer service vehicles have quoted you different wait times and they're being extremely unhelpful and won't put you in contact with the driver. It wasn't until I threatened to call cops that I get a real update my car is on the way. I was quoted another bogus time frame and I'm only now JUST receiving my car at 4:45 in the morning. God forbid I was waiting by my car and had to stay in the middle of nowhere with no other options. This company had horrible communication and customer service and it felt like they were setting us up to have our car stolen. 0/10 experience. read more

Horrible company they lie about where they Tow your car, Taking your car to it to wrong tow lot that's farthest away to Miami Lot instead of Hollywood Lot without informing the insurance company and create situations to rack up days in the lot. The Adjuster went looking for the car in the wrong tow yard because they lied and misinformed me the owner as well. Alpine claims to accidentally release your car to AAA without checking the VIN. saying human error, sent to a dealership, because 2 cars same color and make and model year of Mercedes. Was stuck on the highway at 4 am and needed a tow. My car insurance company set up to have Alpine tow me. The first time I called a lady, who was actually nice, told me they needed to find a driver and it could be an hour. Okay, no problem. I called about 40 mins later and spoke to a guy who said it would be 30 mins. Called after 30 mins requesting an update, same thing another 30 mins. Called again at 6:54, this time a man named Orlando rudely says its 7am there's traffic and the driver will be there in 20 mins, he even gave me a driver's name Jose. Afterwards, they just stopped answering my phone calls, had someone else call for me. A lady answered and said they don't have an eta or driver yet. At that point, I called my insurance, and they said we can reimburse you if you find your own tow. Superior towing was able to reach me in less than 20 mins at 8am when I was originally told it could be 30-40 mins. Everyone do yourself a favor and never use Alpine. From other reviews, I see that they do this often. They allow stranded customers to wait over 3 hours, no call, no shows. If your insurance partners with them, decline and use someone else and get reimbursed. You will save yourself time and possibly save your life. Waiting over 3 hours stranded on the highway with cars speeding inches away going 80 miles per hour is extremely stressful. read more

They towed my car at 7 pm, I got a call at 11:30 pm asking for money because according to them the MBZ dealer was closed "not true because they close at 9 pm and until you can drop off vehicles, so the next morning I called alpine at 11 am they said your car will be delivery on 40 min, that didn't happen At 1 pm I got to their location they came up with new excuses, End the story, they used another call from my AAA and the car still in their yard.
