I had never been ice fishing, but hands down from this experience with Alpine Outfitters Colorado, I will be doing this again. We arrived to Lake San Cristobol at 10:00 am and Seth already had the tents, rods, heaters and chairs set up for us. This allowed our family of six to not waste any time getting to the fun part. The ice fishing! We were split into two groups of 3 and Seth made sure to teach us the best way to catch the fish. About 30 minutes into the fishing, our group of 3 was having a little more trouble seeing any fish than our other half of the group so Seth went out and found another spot for us. He packed up our tent and all the gear, we snowmobiled to another spot on the lake, which wasn't too far from our other half of the group. He set up everything again for us in about 10 minutes. Immediately we started catching some fish! Seth was a great guide making sure that he was around when we needed him and didn't have any problem going back from tent to tent throughout the time. We were scheduled for the 6 hour ice fishing experience and were a little nervous about being out there that long, but it went by so fast with all the fun. We had caught the max amount of fish for our party (24, 4 fish per person) and Seth laid them all out for us and took our family picture for us to document our adventure. Afterwards he cleaned the fish and packaged it up for us.
