It's so wonderful having a place we completely trust and are thankful to send our kids to. I love the Montessori philosophy and inquiry based learning methods. They do such a great job supporting children's natural curiosity while also teaching independence, responsibility and important life skills. I've been so impressed with how's much my kids have learned and how's much fun they have! They love their teachers, they do so many fun activities and never seem to get bored. I'm also impressed with how often the activities in the room change, and all the cool arts projects they bring home! The owner and all the teachers are truly the best people; kind, nurturing, patient with a solid sense of humor. We're so lucky to have MCC in our lives!

Overall I like this daycare. I've taken my son here since he turned 2 and plan on continuing until…read morehe has to enter Kindergarten. While, they're not as strict as other Montessori daycares, I find that a good approach. Children are meant to be children and they discover with play. Applying strict rules to everything restricts kids imagination but that doesn't mean that they are not given structure. As far as I've seen, they keep the kids active during the summer, and whenever weather permits during the winter. I like that they don't have TV and their playground is great. They are right across from a park so they go there during the summer sometimes. The only thing Im not too happy about is when I've called to let them know about something, I feel like i'm always rushed by the person at the other end.

We had no idea how hard it would be to find a program that didn't charge full time fees for a part time schedule. Cadence was the only location that seemed to truly understand the need for this type of programming for families. In addition to a program that fit our family schedule we were impressed with the dedication and commitment of the director, Ms. Theresa. She is one of the hardest working and most pleasant people we have come across since moving to Des Moines. Our daughters primary teacher is Ms. Nina who has loyally and cheerfully served Cadence for 11 years. 11! She handles our daughter so well- is patient, caring and takes time to talk to us about her classroom development nearly everyday. Ms. Megan's classroom occassionally teams up with Ms.Nina's and her Efforts with her classroom are noticible. She is creative, playful and intentional- both women are. I Admire their profession so much and my family is deeply grateful for the role they are playing in shaping our three year old Girl. She's blossoming in ways we have long hoped for and it's in large part due to the Cadence community. Thank you!

When I started looking for daycare options for my…read moregirl (still during the pandemic, and things have been a bit chaotic in Iowa) I was hoping for 3 things: a place that took COVID seriously, a loving culture, and a small class in the beginning to help my girl adapt and make friends. Primrose has been wonderful in more ways than I expected! -The school is new, spacious and beautiful! -The owners are lovely! They give the school a nice feel of a family environment. -The food they serve is healthy and made on site. -Because the school opened recently, the class was small and my girl just loved it from the start, and now she is loving that the class is growing snd she is slowly meeting more children. -The curriculum is great! My girl is learning all about natural resources and other things that are interesting and useful. -When it comes to COVID, they went above and beyond to keep everyone safe (and did more than the bear minimum recommended by the state). They installed air filters that are above the CDC guidelines. Additionally, they are very open and transparent about teachers vaccinations, and really foster a safe environment. I asked other daycares I called if the teachers were planning to get vaccinated - some places just answered: we can't make them, so we don't even ask! Which I know, but that's not enough for me! I highly recommend Primrose School of Urbandale!

We had such a horrible experience at a previous preschool and coming to cadence was such a relief. I have seen sooooo much growth in my 4 and 1 year old. My youngest has started saying more vocabulary words and i couldnt believe how much this 1 year old has learned in vocabulary and his baby sign language that his teachers has taught him. Our son started here at 18 months! And we have been here for almost 3 months now. They told us that there would be a transition time for him and the parents and they were so right. But we found that they paid attention to the small stuff and saw he was connecting to a certain teacher and that has really helped feel more at home! I really love how they have a mobile app that gives the parents up dates through the day on what the kids are doing, eating, playing with, learning, and how nap times and diaper changes go! And they send you photos! That really helps the parents feel good about how these long days are going. The meals are varied and so are the snacks! They have both indoor and outdoor time and the school is very clean! The staff is very informative and friendly and I always feel great about dropping him off there! The parents get their own safety code for the door so they can drop by anytime they like! It might be a bit more expensive that other places, but you get what you pay for and I couldn't be happier with our decision. Our song even looks forward to giving the little Apple Tree Bear on the sign a High Five when dropping off or picking him up! Oh so fun! I feel he is developing skills here he would not get at home with busy parents working. And that feels good! The memories that will be made here!
