Infant A is awesome! I had the most interactions with Ms Tamika, Ms Luisa, and Ms Danielle, they are all awesome teachers and genuinely care for all of the babies. They helped me transition her to daycare, gave me lots of advice regarding feeding and starting her on solid foods, and were terrific at sending daily photos, keeping me updated with anything good or bad that was going on with my daughter while I was at work. They did A LOT of activities with her, from little baby shows, to outside activities and playtime and almost daily artwork, which was so freaking cute btw. She learned how to crawl and even began to stand and try to walk a little bit while in that room. Keep in mind she was only with them from 4 months to 8 months. I truly felt very safe and comfortable leaving my baby with this lovely group of women while at work. Now that she is in the next room I really do miss them although the ladies in the next room are terrific as well. Everyone at this school that I have encountered are courteous and super sweet, especially the director and the front staff. I am so thrilled that I chose this school I really feel it is sincerely benefiting my daughter and I look forward to her future at this school. ***I will try to update with the Infant B review when she graduates!***

You can tell they truly care about the children in the center. Ms.Caroline, Ms.Daniyelle, Ms.Cynthia and Ms.Alexis works so well with my daughter who can be a little challenging at times. She has grown and learned so much in the last year and it's all because of that team. She tells me all the time that is loves school and she loves her teachers. We are so sad to leave but we are still grateful we had a chance to experience such an outstanding group of people who care for the children they serve.

I really feel like they are the best. My 1 year old, 7 year old, and 10 year old would say the same.

No one wakes up chipper like a unicorn floating on a rainbow. I don't know what world that person lives in but it is life. Everyone is either happy/sad, it is life. The teachers are amazing. I had trouble potty training my son when he first enrolled at the age of 2 and the teachers were beyond helpful. Probably more than my parents (lol). My son had to be potty trained prior to Pre-K classes. He had a couple accidents here and there and the teachers helped him through it, physically and emotionally. My son comes home with crazy funny stories and loves everyone, classmates and teachers. He has learned so much being at St. James, even I questioned if his speed of learning was normal. :) I am not a religious person but his grandparents are. The teachers taught him mannerisms, how to pray, how to physically act in church, and etc. I cannot be thankful enough and grateful for the staff members. They are wonderful, amazing, and delightful to be around. My son adores his teachers so much he sometimes talks about not wanting to leave their side when he gets older. I would definitely enroll my second child in this school when I have another. Again, please don't let one persons bad experience/review make you from walking away from this gem. The school may be a little older but I find it okay. It gives it character. The school itself is very refreshing because it reminds me of when I went to pre-school. I personally love the SJ family and refer everyone i know who lives in this area to this school.

Being met with attitude when dropping off and picking up your child is unacceptable, especially when your child goes into hysterics when you are trying to leave. My crying child is a true indicator that something isn't right. Unfortunately we will be looking elsewhere for childcare. My advice: 1) Get a younger staff more accepting of 2 working parents. 2) Change your policies so parents are not stuck with paying a monthly bill even if their child doesn't go. On a positive note- Maggie is lovely. She's truly is a pleasure and so kind.

(kindercare Clark is a much better fit) The building itself was kept clean and in order. I did however find the classrooms to be small and restrictive for two reasons: age of busy little students and class size number. The classes seem to have about 10-12 students in a very small room all day. Some may think it's intimate I viewed it as suffocating. While I did find some teachers to be nice, I found many to be fake nice. Smile at you but scream at the kids. Mind you the children are 3-5 years old. I believe they use times excessively for this age group, they use write ups excessively for this age group, they do not provide enough activities, and I felt they were always treating black boys harshly when I was around. They have one teacher I believe her name is Mary who was terrible to toddlers screamed at them from drop off to pick up. I stayed and caught marry yelling at my son as soon as she thought I left . Chastising babies as if they understand her logic. I heard her berating children. She also has a bluelivematters sticker (mind you I have never seen a Blue human) in a place with many black children and teachers which to me directly says black lives do not matter. I spoke to the director about the teachers and the use of 10 minute or more time outs on 3 year olds. Terrible way to treat little ppl. Pay more and go somewhere else.

Some fascinating facts about this school, Jay Williams and Bon Jovi attended this school along with Andrew Bynum. Their motto is "Where excellence is a habit, not a goal". I feel the education here held up to that and would recommend any parent to send their child here.
