However, from the moment she arrived, the staff and residents made her feel welcomed, valued, and engaged. On her very first day, she was introduced to another resident who showed her around and helped her quickly connect with others. The staff has been exceptional--friendly, attentive, and always ready to help without making her feel like a burden. The variety of activities keeps her busy all day, and she's even enjoying things she never expected to like, along with many of her favorites. I love hearing her say, "They have so much for me to do, I don't have time to stay in my apartment!" The food is delicious and offers plenty of variety, and the facility itself is beautiful--more like a luxury hotel than a traditional assisted living community. The well-maintained grounds and lovely landscaping have her excited for the milder weather so she can relax outdoors among the flowers in the many seating areas with rocking chairs and benches. Sancerre Atlee Station truly lives up to its mission of fostering connections and enhancing shared experiences. Their warm, welcoming atmosphere and exceptional service have made my mom's transition incredibly smooth, and both she and I highly recommend this community for anyone seeking a vibrant, supportive, and beautifully maintained assisted living environment.

Honestly, I'm so unhappy with Sancerre and the care and services they provide. The facility is…read morelovely. The entertainment director is good, too. But the day to day care team staffing, dining facility, and management is just horrific. Where is management while residents wait 1.5 hours for a truly disgusting meal to be served? Where are they when day to day services promised - like cleaning, an nursing care, an med administration -- is continually delayed, phoned-in, ignored, forgotten? We have been so patient as a family. We were one of the first to move our parents into the brand new facility. Nearly a year later I have seen no improvement. The one shining star was a great chef, and he recently left and the kitchen is in absolute shambles. Almost 9K a month and most of the care still comes from family. We'd expect far more professionalism than we are getting. At a minimum, communicate!!! Directly!!! Talk to staff. Show your facet to residents. Discuss directly what's happening there. It's like management is trying to gaslight an entire community of people that all is well. ALL IS NOT WELL.

I must have visited this facility at least 3 times a week for a decade! I live nearby so it was convenient to walk there with my kids and visit my dad and the other elderly residents. We got to know many of the folks there, all the nurses and nuns as well. The front desk receptionist was always courteous and welcoming, the foyer is spacious and simply decorated. This place always felt more like an apartment building than a "nursing home." It was always fresh, bright, and clean. The floors were always so shiny and immaculate. We checked in and took the elevator to my dad's room. The living spaces there were always neat and organized, with laundry services provided. Residents can make their rooms as personalized as they'd like. We saw some lovely, well-appointed living rooms and bedrooms. The common areas are pristine and comfortable. We enjoyed seeing the other seniors there and took pleasure reading to them, helping with meals in the communal dining room, and even conducting Bible studies! The kitchenette has a couple tables, snacks and drinks for the residents. There's also a well stocked library and games. The nuns of the Little Sisters that run the facility provide spiritual support and many activities to keep the folks there encouraged and entertained when appropriate. They also have yard sales and festivals throughout the year. The nursing care was amazing and we felt confident in the safety and healthcare my father received. He was cared for in a dignified and gentle manner as he went through the stages of needed care. The staff made his adjustments for further medical assistance seamlessly. They certainly made a difficult situation much more easy to handle. Our minds were set at ease knowing my dad was being treated with compassion and love. Beautiful grounds surround the buildings, where residents can talks walks, pause for prayer and meditation and just enjoy being outside with nature. I'm so thankful for the extraordinary care my dad was given by the incredible people here. We couldn't have chosen a better home for him.

I felt that she was dishonest and unprofessional. Here are some of the reasons why I was dissatisfied with her service: - She asked me for money for gas and food, which I gave her out of kindness, but she did not offer to pay me back. - She took some of my cleaning supplies and kept commenting on a storage container that I had bought recently, without offering to pay me for them. - I left my wallet on the dining room table after I had taken some cash out of it, which I later discovered some money was missing. I reported this to Mr. Matthew Enderle, the owner of SYNERGY Homecare, but he referred me to his insurance company and also said that he would support me in court. - She came back to my apartment unexpectedly after I had reported her, and banged on my door, claiming she had forgotten something. This made me feel unsafe and harassed. I called the police, but they did not find her. I decided to press charges against her, but later dropped them because I did not want to deal with the hassle. She also failed to show up for a meeting with the police officer who took my report. I would not recommend SYNERGY Homecare to anyone who values their safety, privacy, and belongings. I think they should screen their caregivers more carefully and hold them accountable for their actions. I give them 1 star, because I have to. Instead, it should be zero stars. She never showed up to meet with the police officer who took my report. She also never returned the things she took from me or paid me back for them. She took advantage of my kindness and generosity. She asked me for gas money and food money, and I gave them to her. She also asked me for some cleaning supplies and kept on commenting on a storage container that I had bought recently, and I gave them to her too, thinking she would pay me later for the cleaning supplies. But she never did. I feel cheated and violated by this caregiver and by SYNERGY Homecare. They did not provide me with quality service or care. They did not respect me or my property. They did not handle the situation properly or professionally. This is my honest opinion based on my personal experience with them.

I have and would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful, caring, and stress free place to live. Some of the reasons for my love of SMW are: 1. It is owned and managed by the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, which gives me a great deal of comfort knowing that they will never take advantage of me in any way, and they truly have MY best interests in mind always. 2. It is open to all, with no restrictions. In fact, many residents are not Catholic and are of many diverse backgrounds. 3. The staff at all levels are incredible. They are super qualified, helpful, and friendly at all times. I've never heard an unfriendly comment from anyone. 4. There are many different activities available and never any pressure to participate or not. Musical concerts of many kinds by outside professionals are a frequent and very pleasant activity. 5. Several different apartment floorplans are available. Mine fits me to a T! 6. Dinners are included in all plans and they provide a great opportunity to mingle with other residents and share some great stories and experiences. A great group of people. Please forgive the verbosity, but I want to convey what a great place this really is. If you're considering a retirement community, without a doubt, this is the place you want to be. I highly recommend it.

I met Joe Gallagher with Oasis when my husband, Gregg, suffered a seizure related to his malignant…read morebrain tumor and was to be released from the hospital because there was nothing more they could do for his care. I had no idea where to go. Joe helped me review options around the Richmond, VA area for nursing care/rehab sites with physical, occupational and speech therapy. Gregg was able to receive excellent rehab for 3 weeks before we again were denied continued nursing care and had to move to our final option, assisted living. Joe joined me during the interview process at multiple facilities in the area to seek a good fit for Gregg regarding both nursing care and rehab care. Although Gregg had made strides in his rehab, his level of nursing care was deemed too involved for two of the more "prestigious" assisted living facilities in the area. I was very discouraged by this setback, but Joe and his wife, Judy, were exceptional in their emotional and spiritual support and kept me moving forward. Our third search was fruitful and Gregg received the best care I could have imagined for the next 10 months of his life. Through all of this journey, the Gallaghers kept in touch with us--they were never more than a phone call, text or email away and Joe visited Gregg at his new residence several times a month and even more during his last few weeks. Joe and Gregg shared a bond of faith, tears and hope that lifted both of them. Although Gregg was at peace with the treatments and outcomes he faced, he was even more so after spending time with Joe. Through our relationship with the Gallaghers, Gregg was able to receive therapy and hospice care at the assisted living facility. Joe's knowledge of Gregg as a person helped us find all the best support we needed. Even after his passing, the Gallaghers have kept touch with me and our two sons. Our family has been blessed to have had the Gallaghers by Gregg's side through his disease. We have met two new friends and grateful for their outreach even after Gregg's death.
