1-Star Review of Alpha Foundations - Ongoing Foundation Issues and No Resolution I hired Alpha Foundations to perform foundation repairs on my home in Sarasota, FL in early 2023. I paid over $33,000 for their recommended solution, which they claimed would stabilize the foundation, particularly at the rear of my home. Despite assurances, the foundation has continued to settle less than two years after the repair was completed. Structural cracks have reappeared in the same areas, and the issue has clearly not been resolved. I've reached out to Alpha multiple times to address the problem, only to be told that additional repairs will require more payment--even though they failed to get the job done properly the first time. There has been no meaningful accountability from Alpha Foundations for their incomplete work, and I am now facing additional financial and structural burdens. I expected a long-term solution for the significant amount I paid--not a temporary fix and a demand for more money when their initial assessment and repair fell short. I would caution anyone considering this company to get an independent structural engineer and carefully review the terms of any warranty. Pool deck was several inches uneven in multiple places across the entire end (oak trees are beautiful, but roots go where they want) Brandon arrived and assessed the damage and explained the process. Date for work was set and o Ryan and Jared arrived on time and Piers were set and concrete was moving. Watching this happen was amazing. Before they were done, Hunter and Brad arrived and placed their equipment and setup ready to push the foam in just a short amount of time. Concrete moving, foam filling spaces, piers supporting and job is excellent and exactly what was needed. Dollars well spent to get a professional, guaranteed job correcting major issues with concrete pool deck. This is a second, and a very different use, but the same experience and result. I have delayed writing this review! I had a very complicated renovation loan that required I stabilize the foundation! I got offers from several companies but went with alpha because their warranty. I regret this as the contract has many holes and ways for them to get out of doing the work properly. After jacking my house up with 16 jacks to stabilize the home per many requirements with my loan and sited in the contract instead of shimming the beams the house was lifted off of properly and disbursing the weight of the home to sit flat on the support beams they put two inch wedges in place to utilize the original supports unprofessionally. After speaking to many professionals it was clear to me this is unprofessional shim work. The original beams should be utilized with the added jacks to support the house and the shim job was not done properly. Some of the original beams under the bathroom ( one of the heaviest rooms in any house) was shimmed with particle board! I live in Florida and this is guaranteed to break. I really didn't look into there work given there warranty which really isnt a warranty at all as they only guarantee the area the jacks are in and not the entire home which they originally quoted to stabilize and was always what the quote was for. Their representative came out and and said the wedges are there so customers dont call and complain of gaps between the original posts and the house and that the only thing holding up the home now is their jacks! Basically while they supported the area they installed jacks they weakened other areas of the home and take no responsibility and are unwilling to shim it properly! The know good and well the corner of my home shouldn't be held up with two inches wood shim in Florida and the bathroom shouldn't be supported with particle board......but thats how they left their foundation repair job.......they are unwilling to come back and properly shim the work mean while the house is clearly having foundation issues advising they can "adjust their jacks" but its "their shims" that require correction. They are unwilling to make it right and want to address everything but their unprofessional shim job so here we are posting pics of the shotty over priced work that has left my home weakened in the area they shimmed unprofessionally! I did not want to have to write this review and provided them the opportunity to correct this but they walked away unwilling to correct the unprofessional shim work they performed. read more

We discovered a crack in the brick siding of our house due to a large oak tree being removed that was growing close to the house. The work crew did exceptional work on the repair. They even found a void under the house where a small area of erosion had occurred and had the team out that same afternoon to makes those repairs. Ryan, Jared and Brad were great to work with. So we had some cracks in our tiles and decided to call Alpha Foundation. They did their measuring and showed some settling and still within tolerance for an inspection. They had stated that if we were to get the foam done it would stop the cracking in the floor. So we got it done. Well right after they finished we noticed a crack in the drywall. They came back out and said that's normal because the foundation was re-leveled. Now a year later we've got new cracks in the floor going in a different direction. This is a scam. I couldn't be more please with my experience with Alpha Foundations. From setting the appointment, to the estimate visit from Brent, to the 3 man crew that came out to do the work, everyone was professional, courteous and thorough. When the crew came out to do the work, they answered the questions I had before they started to work. During the course of the reinforcing of my retaining wall, we found another issue caused by some soil erosion. They gave me a quote on the spot and did that job as part of the same project. They had to tear up the ground cover holding the soil down on top of the retaining wall. So on the last day, they brought out rye grass seed and spread it around. I've got grass growing on the retaining wall now! The other company I had contacted had their sub call and he was so rude on the phone, I told him not to bother coming out to do the estimate.
