They showed up when they said they would and completed the job within the window quoted. The floors are absolutely beautiful and we're done with such precision. It looks like they were the original floors in the house. Highly recommend! Quality Workmanship!!

Make no mistake. The workmanship of Kevin and his team is A+. The new floor looks great…read more Unfortunately, the accolades end there. The character of the team as a whole has a lot to be desired. The short of it ... he nearly froze all the pipes in my house and showed no remorse whatsoever. You want the details? Read on ... In December 2025, much of the first floor of my home was destroyed by a frozen water pipe, the cause of which was a pilot light that went out. The removal of the damaged floor, the cleanup, and the dry-out of the house ran me roughly $6,700. I then hired Kevin and his team to install a new hardwood floor on the first floor of my house. We agreed on a price of $8500 to purchase and install the flooring and polyurethane. I opted not to live in the house while the floor was being installed and the polyurethane was being applied. Most of the work was done during the week of January 11, 2026. On Thursday, January 15 and into the overnight of January 16, some of the season's coldest winter weather made its way into southern Maine. When I am not at home, I regularly check on the house to make sure there is nothing amiss and that all the mechanical systems are working properly. I do this with several thermometers, thermostats, cameras, and automation devices. Around 5 pm on Thursday January 15, 2026, I performed my routine check of the temperatures around the house. All looked normal except for the temperature on the second floor, which dropped by 20 degrees after having been 70 F all week. I immediately called Kevin and asked him why the temperature was so cold in the house. He had no idea. I asked him if any of his people opened any windows or doors on the second floor of the house. He said No. The temperature continued to drop. After another 30 minutes, still dropping. In addition to the propane, I then turned on two heat pumps. That slowed the rate of the temperature decline, but it still continued to drop. I talked to Kevin again. I shared my screenshots of the temperature dropping. He continued to insist that no windows or doors were open. By the next morning, with the propane and two heat pumps running at max capacity, the temperature was at 37 F. I had to miss a day of work and see what the hell was happening in the house. At the same time, Kevin decided to send someone to the house ahead of me. That guy found the slider upstairs wide open. On one of the coldest nights of the winter. And, after I asked Kevin repeatedly if his guys opened any doors or windows. Once we learned that the slider was indeed open all night, Kevin actually had the gall to accuse me, as if it was my fault the doors were open to the house. He came up with every excuse in the world, trying to deflect the blame away from him. The words careless, reckless, and gross negligence come to mind. Given that the repairs from a frozen pipe incident could run on the order of $15k or more, it says a lot when someone doesn't take ownership of the problem that he and his team caused. It also sends a strong signal that he doesn't care one bit about my property, nor for my time. I was lucky to have a second heat source in there to keep the pipes from freezing a second time in two months. I hesitate to think how ugly the situation would have become, had there been a second failure. Just speaking to him after this all happened, it doesn't sound to me like he would have had the funds to repair and replace the damage that would have been done. Needless to say, I won't be hiring Kevin and his team again. His reckless decisions put my home at risk of yet another flooding event, just weeks recovering from the initial catastrophe. The last time I hired a contractor with a similar poor attitude and lack of accountability, I got poor results, cut corners, and even items stolen out of my house. I'm all set with that, thank you.

He came out promptly and provided a quote for replacing old worn pine flooring with new cherry hardwood in one room and refinishing the pine flooring in another room. He provide a fair reasonable quote. Sean and Nick performed the work beautifully, professionally and cleaned up. The floors came out amazingly. Will definitely hire him again for new floors in other rooms.

Very Disappointing Customer Service…read more Diversified Flooring installed our floor a few years ago, and unfortunately, our experience with their customer service has been extremely disappointing. About two years ago, a piece of our flooring broke. Since then, my husband and I have tried to contact Sean at least 20 times to arrange a repair. We were never expecting the repair to be free and were more than willing to pay for the work. We simply wanted a response and a plan to get the issue resolved. At times, Sean would respond, but there was never any consistent follow-through or a plan to fix the problem. After two years of trying to get this resolved, we finally found the replacement piece ourselves through a local flooring distributor. It is incredibly frustrating to have to chase a company repeatedly for two years over an issue that we were willing to pay to have fixed. The lack of communication and follow-through was unacceptable. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Diversified Flooring. Good customer service should not end once the installation is complete.

I swear we'd been chatting for maybe 5 mins with the crew leader, when I started hearing the sound of nails being driven in further by the rest of his crew! They were quick & about their business. I had 5 rooms plus a stairwell & hallway that were completed in just 3 days. Some of the rooms had even been poorly sanded & stained by the previous home owner & there's no evidence of any of that work remaining. The quality of work is beyond impressive, taking my old tired floors of various conditions & making them truly shine. Additionally the price point of this work is unbeatable! Will definitely be using Jimmy Express again on my next project :)

They also mentioned to the contractor that he should be given a discount. The quality of the company's work and their client communications is not consistent (as is the company's ability to stand by their work). The hardwood floors for my entire downstairs were being refinished. My contractor, who has replaced and refinished hardwood floors himself, had used Jimmy Express before, and recommended them. The first crew obviously skipped a screening step and applied only two coats instead of the standard three coats of polyurethane, resulting in "bubbles", "wrinkles", and blobs of polyurethane all over the floors! When contacted by my contractor the company owner did not respond until told, via text, that an independent flooring company would be called and we would sue. When pressured, the owner offered only a $200 discount. Considering the additional expenses my contractor absorbed moving my furniture out the second time and the place I had to stay for an additional three days this did not seem appropriate (our consequences of their actions). When pressured further Jimmy did provide an $800.00 discount.
