I used Bluestone Psychological Services for an approximately two month period from September to…read moreNovember 2021. I was having some resurgent trauma-related problems from being assaulted in the past and was seeking guidance through them. Calling to set up an appointment was straightforward, I had read the online profiles of the professionals and asked if I could see someone in particular (as of writing this review on Saturday 17 June 2023, the person is no longer listed as working at Bluestone). After describing my situation to the receptionist, they said that it sounded like the person I was requesting could be a good fit. So we scheduled an intake appointment in an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the first appointment we set up weekly sessions thereafter until I was feeling confident enough to part ways with the therapy about two months later. I received a bit of talk and EMDR therapy in my sessions. The therapist was never short with me and I found the treatment effective for helping me work through my problems. She was professional in our sessions and never prying. I have continued to use some of the things I learned in the sessions after stopping the therapy sessions.

I felt that she was very impersonal and straight to the point. I never felt that much compassion from her. In addition, I felt that she did not have great bedside manner or manners with me at all. I felt her customer service to me was not that great. I had to cancel at the last minute a couple of times due to an emergency, and the practice and Dr. Peng told me they had to charge me a fee. Bluestone showed me no mercy, and Dr. Peng did not seem to show me any either. I felt that she also did not properly understand my conditions either. I also didn't like that when I made no follow up appointments with her that Dr. Peng reached out to me multiple times and asked me if I was interested in continuing with her. Well obviously, if I have not called you or made an appointment with the practice in months, it's evident I am no longer interested. In the end, I am glad I left. I would not recommend this practice or Dr. Peng at all. In my opinion, they have no understanding for when life situations come up and I did not feel there was good communication or compassion towards patients either by either Dr. Peng or the staff of bluestone.

I've seen a few therapists over the years; what really stands out about Colleen is that she has been so adept at helping me hone in on core issues, and has taught me how to maintain focus on these core issues. In our dialogue, you couldn't even recall what you had said, who I was, or what our interaction was. I can assure you and those reading this that the subject of our conversation was not suicide and that you did not provide direction and feedback based on this subject. You were rude, dismissive and not compassionate and you admitted such. By your own admission, you were not in a good headspace during that time and were dealing with your own personal problems. My suggestion that you take a leave of absence to deal with your own life vs. attempt to guide others through theirs was met with a flippant 'That's not an option as I'm the sold breadwinner'. So, damn the consequences - I'm going to provide poor care cause I need to make a buck! In addition, your written, public response here is potentially a HIPAA violation of privacy regarding my child. I'd suggest you remove your comments before I report you to HHS and your affiliated insurance providers. You should know better.
