I was very nervous at first because I didn't know what to expect and the thought of closing off veins can be a bit scary to think about. I still get nervous at times before my procedures but Dr. Taghipour and her team always make sure that I am comfortable and know what to expect every step of the way. Their knowledge and attention to detail is the reason why I trust everything they do and I continue to see results after each round of treatments. Not only are they good at what they do, but I love how they create a fun and positive environment. From the very beginning they have all been so kind and caring and they make a point to include me in their conversations as they're going through my vein procedures. This has not been an easy journey for me as I have dealt with leg infections and sometimes being hospitalized for the last five years but Dr. Taghipour and her team give me the hope and confidence I need to keep moving forward in my journey.

Dr. Taghipour and all of her staff are informative, punctual, and respectful. They also show that they really care about my quality of life and care. Dr. Taghipour and her staff were easy to communicate with, and it has been my genuine pleasure to have the entire staff provide my care. Dr. Taghipour has a very relaxed but professional bedside manor. The same can be said for her entire staff. Going forward, I will always use Dr. Taghipour as my vascular doctor. She has won my approval. I have told all my friends that if you ever need a vascular surgeon, Dr. Taghipour and The Vein Clinic are a great option. I would be comfortable with Dr. Taghipour treating any of my family members. For convenience, she has multiple locations. I used the main office located in town for my initial visit but had all my surgical procedures/care provided at her Waianai office. I highly recommend Dr. Taghipour and am blessed to have had such a thoughtful, considerant, compassionate doctor, and her staff of professionals provide my care. I feel she took the time to listen to my concerns and to addresses them in simple ways that were easy to understand. I highly recommend Dr. Taghipour and the Vein Clinic. If you are looking for quality health care, professionalism, timely, personalized care, Dr. Taghipour and her staff are a great option. Thank you, Dr. Taghipour, and your wonderful staff for such a great health care experience....Aloha....

There is ample parking at the location but is shared with the medi-spa and physical therapy businesses in the building so make sure to not park in reserved spots for those businesses. Mom came here for a consult on varicose veins and the staff were all very welcoming and nice. However, there was a mix up regarding my mother's' consult. She had called in advance to schedule her consult however when we arrived they could not find her appointment and the doctor was not in the office so we had to come back. For her second scheduled consult, I called to confirm and everything went smoothly. As a result , I would recommend calling a day before just to confirm just in case. When it was time for her procedure appointment, the staff gave us a reminder call which was appreciated. On the day of the procedure, they did a second ultra sound check before beginning and procedure took around 45 mins. After care procedures were carefully explained. The center can also arrange for translators translators if a family member/ translator is unable to accompany the patient which I think is a great plus. Covid precaution wise the business could add a bit more precautions. Temperatures were checked prior to being let in, staff were wearing masks and number of patients allowed in at a time however that is about the extent of the precautions. No social distancing or must wear mask signs were in the waiting area. There was however a sign inside staffing area. Seats in the waiting area were not marked to enforce social distancing. Other than performing procedures, staffs do not wear gloves.

Then my cardiologist informed me that the last time I took tests was ten years ago, so I was due for them. Luckily, I don't have heart conditions that require immediate attention. But let's face it, I'm getting older, and knowing that I have a cardiologist and an internist on my health care team who are genuinely concerned with my health is reassuring. My cardiologist's office put in their test requisitions for me, and I contacted Queen's Heart to set up my appointments. Fortunately, I could schedule two out of the three tests for this month. The schedulers at Queen's Heart are friendly and very accommodating. Today, I met with a sonographer, Martin T, RDCS, who administered the ultrasonic electrocardiogram. I admit that I was nervous about taking this test because my blood pressure was elevated, but Martin put my nervousness at ease with his professionalism and excellent communication skills. He was reassuring that I didn't need to worry and follow his instructions so he could get the best images of my heart and surrounding areas for medical interpretation. Martin advised me to access the test results on my digital medical records, MyChart. From scheduling and reception to test administration and results interpretation at the Queen's Heart Institute, I received personable, professional, and highly skilled care. My cardiologist was also very quick in responding to his review of the test results. I heartily recommend the Queen's Heart Institute for cardiovascular medicine, surgical care, and diagnostic testing. This clinic is conveniently located on the third floor in the Pauahi Tower at Queen's Medical Center - Punchbowl.

It does make it less sucky when the staff you're dealing with are friendly and know what they're doing though, every time I've been here I've always had a positive experience. They have quite a few procedure rooms and every one I've been in have always been very clean. One thing to keep in mind is it does get pretty cold in there so if you're sensitive to temps then bring a light sweater. They're located on the 3rd floor of the Pauahi Wing of the hospital and can either valet park at the main entrance to the hospital or you can self park in either the POB I, II, or III parking structure. If you're having a procedure the parking validation should be free.

Next a medical student Ms.Nguyen entered and asked if she could question and examine me. Okay. The walls are pretty thin. I could hear muffled conversations close by. I could tell there would be a little wait time. The student left the room and after a while entered with two more ladies. Don't have a clue who the 3 rd person was. Very attractively stunning Tomao, PA introduced herself, examined both of my legs and shared her findings with the other two. She recommended compression socks from the morning but remove when I come home. I'm figuring since I'm retired does that mean I don't need to? Also elevating legs was mentioned. Next she told me she was going to schedule an ultrasound. Fears allayed...I thought I was going to have needles stuck into me today. I told her I might have to report for jury duty and she wrote me an excuse note to show them. Wow! I went back out and a lady with gorgeous highlighted hair scheduled me saying, see you Friday and also scheduled a phone appointment for the following week to have Tamao give me the findings. I was in there about an hour. Hubs waited for me. I told him too bad Ice Garden next door doesn't open til noon.
