So after cvs really screwed up my dad's heart medicine by giving him the wrong one for 6 months, he finally decided to make a change. He read in the vietnamese newspaper about this place so of course I yelped it. After reading the review, i was like are you sure? and I tried to tell him to go to walgreens down the street, but it was just too far for him to go to so I was forced to try out this place.
Expecting the worse, I went in and dropped off his stuff. The girl at the window, asked for his insurance card and of course I didn't bring his insurance card in, but the girl at the window said no problem and helped me look up his info pretty quickly, so that was a pleasant surprise.
Next, she told me that one out of his six medicines required insurance approval and the rest would be ready in a few minutes ..so I began looking around the store and noticed the place is pretty big and had some medical equipments on display. So the shower chairs on display was what my dad was looking for, so I asked the girl how much it was... she told me she had to check with her boss.
A few minutes later everything was ready and her boss came out and told me the chair i wanted was probably covered under my dad's insurance and I wouldn't have to pay for it if I wanted to wait a couple weeks for him to get the approval or if I needed it ASAP he would take a deposit and refund me once it got approved. I left the pharmacy my cell and I decided to wait.
So a few days later, I get a call from the pharmacy and they said my dad's medication was approved. They asked me if I could come in and get it, or if I wanted it delivered, so I opted to pick it up since I didn't know if they charged for delivery or not (they don't within a certain radius... not too sure what it is, but ours was inside the free zone). I asked them about the chair while I was there and they told me they received all the paperwork needed and sent out the paperwork to the insurance already and would call me back when it was approved.
True to their word a week later, I get a call from the pharmacy to let me know the shower chair was approved and was ready for pick up. This time I had them deliver it to me because my car is way to small to bring it home.
Overall I enjoyed the fact that they kept me in the loop. I really was impressed by the help I got from the staff. Its close by home so my parents can walk there if they want.
Bottom Line:
Looks like their service changed a lot. If your around the area and are tired of going to a place where they treat you like a number, then give this place a try. They definately earned my business.... and believe me I'm not usually one to write reviews like this, because it takes so long.....but since I was mislead by the solo review here I decided to write this one so that places like this will stick around. read more
