Most of the time I've been to this place there's an older lady who seems miserable and is very unfriendly. Taking my business elsewhere.

Let's just say there are other liquor stores not far away that appreciate most all their customers. Not the other way around.

Under new ownership since Dec 22, James was friendly in helping me find some hard to source liquors (like green chartreuse).

I had so much fun wandering around the store the last few times I've been. It's bright and clean,…read moreso many cool items to check out! I've found vegan items that I haven't been able to find at other stores. I love these Skinny Mint Cookies that I discovered there that are vegan and gluten free..yumm! I also grabbed a Red Lentil Vegan Shepherds Pie for dinner. That was good and savory, though I could have done without the peas. I was happy that I found vegan mozzarella cheese sticks that I needed for a recipe, couldn't find them at other stores. After shopping, my sister and I grabbed coffee in the little coffee shop inside the store and went upstairs to sit in a comfortable chair near the fireplace to chat. There's a community room, I believe you can book it for meetings such as book clubs. There's a microwave upstairs. It's a budget friendly option, my 16 oz. Sugar free Hazelnut latte with soy milk was only $4.50. Some things are a little spendier at Market of Choice. But so many things I can't find elsewhere. I will be returning!

This new location in the South Reedville area is fantastic! My wife and I were beyond excited when…read morewe heard a Market of Choice was opening so close to home, and it has definitely lived up to the hype. The selection here is top-tier. If you're putting together a charcuterie board, this is the place to go; their cheese and specialty meat section is incredible. They also boast a massive selection of craft beers and wines for any occasion. What really makes this store stand out are the quick-service counters. It's so convenient to be able to grab high-quality: - Fresh Sushi - Custom Noodles & Pizza - Gourmet Sandwiches - Decadent Desserts The staff is consistently friendly, and the store itself is beautifully laid out and kept spotlessly clean. It's a great addition to the neighborhood and has quickly become a favorite for both our weekly staples and special treats!

I first found out about this place back in 2011 when I had a small house party, and someone brought…read morea bottle to share. IT was amazing! And, we have sense but several bottles since then. I also happened to move out to Hillsboro last fall (Oct 2013) and we just discovered recently that the tasting room is about a mile from our house! VERY EXCITING!!!!!! The first time we went to the tasting room, my husband and I took my parents and I was impressed that the entire flight was free to taste. That is practically unheard of in my opinion! I have went to distillery row in Portland, and it is traditionally about $5 a person to taste (unless you buy-in to the passport-thingy then it's cheaper, but still!!!). If you like whiskey, definitely give big bottom a try, it is top shelf taste with not the top shelf-price.

Tonight I got to sample some whiskey's and a rum from BBW at "Toast" (The original artisan spirits…read moretasting). I'm already a whiskey fan so I really enjoyed both their 111 proof american straight whiskey and their American straight bourbon. I have no idea what the rum was, except yummy. I also got to meet the makers of these fine spirits; Ted & Taylor Pappas. Talk about perfect people to run the show; fun and charismatic! They seemed to be reeling in my tasters than any other distillery. A good friend of mine is a friend of Ted & Taylor's so I'm hoping to get to do a grown up tasting at their distillery (versus the thimble sized samples given out at Toast for a token) or help out bottling some weekend morning. If you haven't tried their whiskey, you really have to give it a shot.
