Scheduled two massages for my daughter and I on our road trip to Eugene. Normally, I am very discerning about getting massages and I'm very picky. After doing some homework on Yelp, I booked Luka (Marsha) for two LomiLomi massages. She did not disappoint. She helped relax me so much that I could literally feel layers being melted away. I wanted to try the LomiLomi since we just got home from Maui and I didn't get the massage I wanted. LomiLomi is long flowing strokes - not deep tissue - which I normally prefer. This is more calm, healing and soothing. I am super grateful we found Luka and will definitely come back on my drives up to Eugene! Her office and bathroom and super spotless (which always makes me happy). Clean and uncluttered. Ahhhh. Thank you Luka read more

My suggestion to the person who called me - if you would have asked could I make it there by 12Noon and keep the appointment, I would have said Yes. I was in the middle of handling a dental emergency and had completely forgotten about my appointment today - I never want to burn bridges with people so I am editing this response. What I wrote earlier is below: (I don't know if anyone in your organization reads the reviews or replies) I had scheduled a massage treatment the day after the 4th of July - and then had a dental emergency come up. I received a call right after talking to my dentist, that I had a massage scheduled at 11:30. Instead of trying to work this out with me, I was asked to pay $50.00 so they could pay their therapist without any consideration to what I was going through at the moment. We have a cancellation policy - and you owe us $50. I would have agreed to coming in at Noon, but I wasn't asked if I could make it at Noon. I was telling her about losing the crown and needing to get it put back on, and what I heard was are you going to pay the $50? I felt frustrated and upset for not listening to me or trying to make things work on their end. Okay, I paid it, but I wasn't happy about it. So you are hearing about it in my review. They could have said, we understand - Our therapist is here. Can you make it at Noon? read more

I did the Tahoe Via Ferrata and returned to Grass Valley Aloha Massage to receive an outstanding massage from Noelle. Many thanks for contributing to me awaking the next day with no soreness following this physically intense activity. I have had 4 different types of massages provided and by different therapists. I highly recommend Aloha Healing Touch Massage for your next massage treatment. read more

I booked two 90 minute massages with Destiny for myself, and Shawna for my 27 year old son. After a conversation with Destiny I decided to try a lomi lomi massage and it was a fantastic experience - complete with Hawaiian music and coconut oil. Destiny is very talented. I usually go for a deep tissue massage, and lomi lomi is not really that. Instead, it is very revitalizing and if you are willing, includes your tummy and chest - areas that are mostly off limits in other types of massage. The first half of my massage was extremely energetic - both in Destiny's movements and the Hawaiian music. When I turned over things slowed down and she covered spots that no one else had found ever! When I had gotten dressed, I found my son literally melted into a chair in the waiting room. He said he had never had such a good deep massage, and he is a big muscular man. He remarked on the strength of Shawna's hands. And you should keep in mind that Shawna is at least eight months pregnant at this point. This is a very nice, clean, small and friendly establishment. I got an appointment within 24 hours. My son and I chatted with our masseuses for 5 to 10 minutes after our treatment and that was very friendly and cozy. I would highly recommend this business, and if you want to try a totally different kind of massage therapy, do try lomi lomi. I almost forgot to tell you about the narrow heated pillows that are laid on your upper and lower back! And the warm washcloth for your feet when the massage is over. read more

I called for a last minute appointment and voila! Lerin has one spot open for me. The studio is clean and inviting. Lerin was kind and gracious when I ran behind by a couple of minutes. (I arrived exactly at the time we scheduled, but being my first visit, I knew there'd be a tiny bit of paperwork.) I had a basic massage and it was lovely! Lerin asked about any concerns or problem areas; she also wanted to know my preferences for how much pressure to us, before we began. I would definitely return and may try some of the other massage types (lomilomi, etc.)on their menu. read more

Great massage. I'm new to town so I had to rely on yelp. Good thing I did. Kelly was a great masseuse. Just the right amount of pressure. I had a pinched nerve and she expertly worked on it. Having had many massages I could tell she knew what she was doing. Prices are reasonable and the rooms nice and quiet. read more

I took my friend to her first appointment with a masseuse she's never visited before and want to let you know how pleased she was! We were scheduled for 1PM with Marsha at Aloha Healing Touch Massage and upon entering the little studio at 150 S. Auburn Street in Grass Valley, imediately felt the sense of a peaceful, calming and nuturing space. We were offered tea and my friend was shown the way to the studio room. I arrived an hour later to pick her up and was told by Marsha she was being given five or ten minutes to come back to awareness. My friend came into the waiting room and glowed with peaceful restfulness claiming she had enjoyed a wonderful massage. Once in the car, my friend claimed the massage was everything she hoped for and more; and she smelled delictable! She felt she was given a very relaxing and healing massage and looked forward to returning to share more time on Marsha's table. Be good to you; book a massage and treat yourself to something to carry you through your week! The number for the studio is (530) 615-7849~ ALOHA read more

Spent a wonderful afternoon this past weekend with the ladies at Aloha Healing Touch Massage. I asked one of my bridesmaids to find us a place to get away for the afternoon to relax 1 month away from my wedding, and she found this little gem in Grass Valley. We did the deluxe package and it was worth every penny! Cammy and Marsha explained to us that Lomi Lomi is a "nurturing" massage and I have to agree. It was incredibly soothing and not as rough or painful as some massage can be. The massage itself was paired with a whole slew of wonderful scrubs, lotions, and things that generally still have my skin feeling great 5 days later. One tip: Google Maps may try to deceive you on where this place is. There is a S. Auburn road also in Colfax, and for some abominable reason despite the fact that we decidedly typed in the Grass Valley location, it still took us to Colfax! If you're using GPS I recommend using the store name rather than address to be on the safe side, you wouldn't want to risk missing out on the full treatment! read more

I highly recommend that you visit Aloha Healing Touch Massage. Marsha is wonderful! Strong hands, great technique and such a nurturing, kind heart. If you haven't ever had a lomi lomi massage with hot stones, you are missing out! It truly feels like a little piece of Hawaii here in the Gold Country. The prices are very reasonable and they even have weekend appointments available. read more

My massage therapist was Carly and she came to my home. It was a 2 hour massage and was quite literally the BEST massage of my life. I'm sure you're thinking ...2 hours of course it was good, but it was more than than. Carly used just the right amount of pressure so that it was both relaxing but also rejuvenating and eased those strains and pains I was holding in my muscles. She eased pains in muscles I didn't know I had. I would go back to her in a heartbeat and will be scheduling another session as soon as possible. read more

Wow!!! Seriously the best massage I've had in years! It was an amazing 2 hr Aloha massage with Destiny. She spent so much time working on my back using a combination of techniques. I'm used to getting Swedish massages at different massage locations but I loved the blend Destiny used. I'm not a pro but it felt like a mix of Swedish, Hawaiian (very long strokes using both forearms), and hot stones. I'm very picky when it comes to massages and I'm amazed at how "perfect" this massage was. She never asked me what kind of pressure I want but apparently she didn't need to. Maybe it's just her intuition but she used the perfect amount of pressure. There were a few places where it felt like a little too much but not enough to effect the experience as a whole. Thank you Destiny! I also had a very relaxing 60 min Reiki with Anja. This was my first Reiki experience. I truly enjoyed it but it's a little hard for me to judge because I was already like jello after the 2 hour massage that I don't know if the Reiki really added much. Regardless it was very relaxing. There were times when Anja would place a hand under me while I was laying on my back and it felt awkward. I would definitely recommend turning onto the stomach for these parts. I'm not sure if the massage table was on or if it's just me but I felt VERY warm during the Reiki session which was becoming uncomfortable. The only changes I would suggest is offer more cushion under the knees when client is laying face up. Maybe have the room dimmed more as well. Offer water between sessions if the client is having multiple sessions. Ask client if the table/ room is too hot. Overall wonderful experience!! It was definitely worth the 50 minute drive!! read more

This place is absolutely amazing, and one of the best massage therapists I've ever been to!! I have visited a number of times, and since I booked last minute appointments online, I always got whatever therapist was available, so I got to experience 3 different therapists thus far, and so far every single one of them has been nothing short of absolutely AMAZING! Anja, Pranada, and Kalyani are the three that I have had appointments with and while each has their own style and strengths and differences, they are all SO very gifted not just in skill and technique but in intuitive presence. So much so that I have taken to booking appointments like this at random on purpose because I know whomever I'm paired with will be just the right person for what I need that day. My favorite massage is the 90 Minute Traditional LomiLomi massage, it is incredible. The spirit and healing essence of Hawaii is palpable in this space, and I am truly grateful to have found this place during what has been a difficult time in my life, it has helped more than I can say! If you are looking for a good massage place here in town (or even coming from out of town) look no further!! You will not be disappointed. read more

Booked my first massage here online an hour before I went in, score! Can't beat convenience like that. The ladies here we friendly and attentive right from the start. I had the Aloha massage and there were definitely some techniques to the massage I really enjoyed. I've had several massages in the past, but never had my hands massaged with the awesome technique my therapist used. She also did a great job focusing on the tension I've been having in my shoulders and neck and I left feeling completely relaxed, I'd definitely recommend stopping in here and I'm sure I'll be back to try some of the other suggested massage services! read more

I have been a massage customer of Aloha Touch Massage for many years. From start to finish, I feel surrounded with an extremely relaxing sensory experience which envelopes me with beautiful background music, comfortable table, smooth sheets and wraps, warm compresses and fine oils and massage products. Whether I get a one-on-one or 4 hand massage, I feel as though I have been through a beautifully choreographed healing journey where I am transported from stressed and fatigued, to soothed and completely relaxed. I could not recommend a massage experience more highly. read more

Where I live in NJ I get $50/hour massages from some Chinese ladies, and those massages are better, more thorough, than the one I got here which is $100/hour (for the deep tissue). The first ten minutes of my one-hour massage were a bit light and not what I expected from a deep tissue massage, so I asked "Is this a deep tissue massage?" and she said "I didn't know what you wanted." It was okay, but I've had better. My therapist was Destiny. read more

I have had a few massages from Marsha. They have all been wonderful and I look forward to enjoying many more. She adapts her technique to my liking (relaxing and medium pressure) and based on what is going on for me that I might want her to work on. As soon as I walk into Aloha Healing Touch massage, it takes me back to the chill, cheery and happy space of my relaxing and fun vacations in Maui. Marsha is friendly, calming and very skilled and intuitive at what she does. She is very knowledgeable of many massage techniques. I highly recommend the hot stone massage. I have also sent several friends to Marsha and they have loved receiving massages from her too. read more

Massage was great, great touch. The hot stones and towels felt extra good too. Nice Hawaiian vibe.

Spectacular massage experience at Aloha today. Brought my sis-in-law in today so we could both try out hot stone - what a lovely relaxing surprise.
