I was kind of stunned at how much the vendor the Kahala uses was going to charge just for providing a sound system and an ipod hookup (having a tech person there to supervise would have been an additional high fee). So I decided to check around and ask for recommendations for someone else to handle the sound. I'm so glad that I did. Jason responded immediately and not only did a great job on the DJ side but had a lot of useful suggestions about finding out what kinds of songs we would want, providing wedding checklists and questionnaires for the bridal party to get fun information that our MC could use to fill any quiet spots in the program, etc.. He and his assistant were there the whole time, ran everything perfectly, followed the queues in the program for the different special songs for different events and just all around helped make it a stress free, fun event. Totally worth it and I'm so glad that he was there to help make our special day run smoothly!

If you are wondering if you should get a wedding planner, the answer is yes, and it should be…read moreSteph. We worked with Steph for our wedding at St. Augustine by the Sea and The Royal Hawaiian, and she was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. This was, of course, our first time planning a wedding, and having someone with Steph's expertise guiding us through every step made all the difference. She also handles an incredible amount behind the scenes that you don't even realize is happening. Because of her, we had far less vendor communication to manage ourselves, which made the entire planning process so much less overwhelming. Her experience with the venues and the local vendors is so key. She has worked with them countless times (it seems like everyone in the industry knows her) and knows exactly how to get the best outcome from each relationship. One of Steph's greatest strengths is keeping you focused on exactly what matters at the right time. If Steph tells you it's time to do something, do it. If she hasn't brought something up yet, trust that you don't need to worry about it; she'll let you know when it's the right time. That level of organization and confidence was such a gift throughout the planning process. Steph also has exceptional composure under pressure. No matter how busy the day became or what unexpected situations came up, she remained calm, professional, and completely in control. She communicates clearly and directly while also being incredibly warm, kind, and supportive. She is exactly the person you want by your side on your wedding day. Not only did we love working with Steph, but our friends and family adored her too. She was poised, professional, and a joy to have at the wedding. Also every vendor she recommended was fantastic, and it was obvious how much respect they all have for her. It's been a month since our wedding, and we genuinely miss our meetings with Steph. We can't recommend her highly enough. If you're getting married on Oahu, put your wedding in the hands of an expert. Hiring Steph was one of the best decisions we made, and we are so grateful she was part of our wedding. You should hire her too!

My husband and I wanted to surprise each other with a dance at our reception, and Steph handled the coordination so well. I'm sure that must have been incredibly stressful but I'm forever grateful that she helped make our dreams come true. I did a partial planning package and Steph gave great recommendations to reach out to. I think ultimately we have a dream team of vendors on our wedding day. There were slight hiccups here and there, mostly because I had some friends and family helping with set up, and some things got misplaced in the chaos. But Steph and her team were always going above and beyond. They were flexible, understanding, and attentive. We had a jampacked timeline -- a Catholic ceremony at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa and a reception at Cafe Julia -- but we were able to get through it all because of Esselle Weddings! Thank you so much for being there for us for our special day. I'm sorry for putting you guys through a crazy day but we truly are so so grateful for you guys!

Loved everything about them, they were able to capture exactly how our wedding went down. First, Cody is super responsive once you put in a inquire. He emailed within 24 hours. Second, they are easy to communicate with and broke down all of the packages to us, so we were able to pick the perfect one and work with our budget. Day of our wedding, I wasn't sure what to expect (I always feel awkward when you have a camera/video on me), but really it was like they weren't even there. They just captured the moment and made you look good! My family and friends are crazy, so when it came down to the dancing, it was awesome! They were right in the mix and created the most epic dance video! I still watch it every so often to relive that day. If only I could have a party every year...ok, maybe every 5 years. I would want to have Image Creations there to capture it. Highly recommend them!

I initially heard about them through a friend who also booked them for her wedding. I checked out their website and liked their work, so I went ahead and emailed them about their services and rates. They were very prompt in their communications with me and actually emailed me within 24 hours of me inquiring about their services. I LOVE when vendors reply back quickly and don't leave me hanging for days! Image Creations was very professional and started off by asking me a series of questions, such as the location of my wedding and whether I had any special performances, and then they gave me a quote. After this we set up a consultation to meet in person and that's when we met Annie Canada. She was very sweet and approachable, and also very informative. She also seemed experienced and gave me a lot of tips and things to think about regarding videography that I never would've thought about. After meeting with her and seeing what the company was all about we decided to book with them! Fast forward almost a year later to the wedding day... I didn't really know what to expect from the videographers but I wasn't worried at all because I knew they were on top of their stuff. They had a team of 3 at our wedding doing the videography...Cody was the main videographer and he had two assistants, one of which was Annie (his wife) =). They all were so very professional and really made themselves blend in so they weren't in anyone's ways. There were a few moments during the day where Cody had us do a series of things, such as look a certain way or walk along the beach smiling at each other, etc, in order to get different shots. But for the most part we didn't have to work too hard and they just did their thing blending in the background and getting candid footage of the wedding day. The contract stated that they will have the finished product completed within 6 months, which I thought was a reasonable time. And actually for us we received it a few weeks ago which made it 5 months. We loved our video as it captured all of the most important parts of the wedding such as the vows, different performances we had, the speeches, the dancing, etc. And the fun part about it was that we got to watch it together on Valentine's Day...It was so romantic! =) Image Creations really captured what I wanted from our wedding and they did an amazing job. They were very professional, detailed, thorough, timely, and easy to get along with, and I highly recommend Image Creations for any videography needs, especially for weddings!
