Aloha From Angry Mario, Seattle is coming to Maui ! This has been the spot for years! This time I really pulled the Trigger! I built my first Skateboard and my Lady got her First Longboard! Fantastic skate shop on Maui. My two boys wanted to bring their boards with them on our flight but I just decided to get them two new setups here and thought it would make a supremely cool souvenir. The owner got us setup in no time. He's got all the great lines of equipment, Powell & Peralta, Independent, Bones Bearings etc. I have to admit the throwback boards had me considering my own purchase. I always wanted a Hosoi Hammerhead. Anyways we got great gear, super friendly service and some great tips for island skating. The parks here are fantastic. We're hoping to skate the Hana park before we leave. Mahalo! read more

I walked in expecting a rebellious skater and got the polar opposite I'm only 13 you see and I was super happy with the customer service he helped me find a new deck for my board and that is exactly what he did I also bought a ton of stickers and accessories I loved how he didn't push me to purchase this or that like some shops do he set up my whole board with my old trucks and wheels Thanks sincerely jack (the one from SC) Thanks Andrew read more

I found this place on Yelp searching for a skate shop on Maui that could help my 9 year old son get outfitted while on island staying with his grandma. He is just getting started skating and the guys at Aloha Boards took the time to measure his height, weigh him, and hooked him up with a custom board at a really reasonable price for a "real" custom built skateboard. They also fitted him for a helmet and full set of pads. Of course he also had to get a cool hat from their shop! He's stoked and skates every day now. Thank you Aloha Boards for hooking my boy up we will be sure to stop in whenever we are visiting Maui. read more

I would give this place 1000+ stars if I could. Not only are they friendly, they are extremely helpful. I found the perfect drop deck that I wanted and Andrew helped me find all the pieces to put it together. He was very informative about the trucks, wheels and bearings. And also he gave us some pro tips on good places to skate on the island! I can't imagine having gone somewhere else for my first board purchase. I would 10/10 recommend this place. if you're on the island and have board needs, check this place out. They are truly nice, helpful folks and they deserve your business! read more

We were on vacation from San Francisco and my son wanted to skate the local park in Lahaina (great park). We didn't bring our gear and I needed a new deck. Andrew set us up with a complete. We selected his local deck graphic, trucks and wheels. It's a fantastic ride and Andrew couldn't have been friendlier and knowledgable. I love this shop and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a board. read more

They helped my husband pick a long board and were super cool about explaining everything and they didn't push the boards that they make on you even though they sell other brands too. We even got a small discount and I wish we caught the dudes name but he was really nice and helpful! read more

Aloha Skateboards was founded in 2003 to support skateboarding on Maui. We are longtime skateboarders, who wanted to use our passion to support local skaters, design some cool products and hopefully create a few jobs for our skateboarding friends. We manufacturer and sell Aloha Skateboards. High quality products at a fair price. Designed in Hawaii. We also sell a wide variety of other manufacturer's products, our favorite collections for different skaters.

Meet the Business Owner: Andrew B.

Aloha Skateboards was the concept for our Maui skateboard company/project that developed between 2002 - 2004. At that time it was a project more than a company, with the ambition of supporting skateboarding on Maui, and fortunately it still is. Thank you to all our friends, customers, guests, groms, team riders, lurkers and supporters.

The sand was so egregiously, sizzling hot, it melted the soles' glue which kept the Keen's soles and the top half of my shoes together! As a result of only packing my Keen's as my sole hiking/H2O Shoes, I became so desperate and irritated with myself failing packing another pair of water/hiking shoes as a back-up pair; it's time visiting FAMOUS FOOTWEAR for substitute shoes-STAT! In my utter disbelief, I couldn't get over the fact, my Keens shoes just incredibly blew two flat tires while hobbling throughout two Hawaiian Islands! While at Famous Footwear, I found a pair of Puma H2O shoes which were markdown, $14.00 from the regular price and also, I found a pair of Earth Origin, Blue Suede Shoes which I know I'll be hiking wearing these shoes everywhere. Upon returning to NorCal, my Keens are now currently in the Placerville Shoe Repair Hospital. I was so excited when I found a RipCurl store at the shops in Wailea. I purchased 3 pairs of RIP…read moreCuRL shorts and 2 RipCurl teeshirts. I tried the shorts on and all were a great fit. I tried on one of the RipCurl tees, size XL, and it fit good, so I picked another XL teeshirt. I did not actually try it on because it was also an XL. When I got back to the condo in Kihei, I cut tags off and got them ready for wearing. The next morning, I put on the XL and it was too small. I tried on the other XL and it fit fine. I noticed a tear right away in the seem of the shirt that fit, so we took them back. The receipt/return policy clearly states that refund or exchanges are OK with receipt. When we tried to return them, Jessica and two other employees stated that the manager said they smell and the tags were removed, so they would not exchange or refund. We were confused about "smell", as my wife and I smelled them and they smelled like new store merchandise. We did not wash or wear them, and only tried them on. My wife asked to speak to district manager. The district manager reluctantly approved the exchange. RIP Curl is supposedly a reputable brand, but if they will not stand behind their products, we will not shop there again. WARNiNG to all Rip Curl shoppers at Wailea Shops... DONT SHOP here... Rip Curl does not care about repeat business, value of their product, and has ZERO business integrity. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Not only does this shop carry a variety of well priced gear, but the staff are also very helpful! Yesterday I left two $20 bills on the counter next to the register, I must have been in a rush because once I got home, I noticed both 20's were gone! I knew I left them there, but it was already after hours. I called back, and gave them my information. The next day they called back, and gave me an envelope with the money in it. Turns out somebody had taken my money from the counter, but they decided to take their own money and give it back to me. I have purchased my current skateboard from them, and I have also purchased stickers and pins (and plan to buy more!) This is truly a great shop with very cool staff!! read more

This skate shop is the best! I have 4 kids and two of them skateboard. Two of my sons got a custom board built from scratch with the help of the owner Andrew. I couldn't have asked for a nicer or more helpful guy! I love it there, my kids love it there, and all my kids friends love it there. What a great shop! We head back in every time we visit. The owner, Andrew, is the real deal - totally knowledgeable. AND he is kind and patient with kids. He set our two kids up with their first skateboards. We were able to carry them on the plane home and now they skate around with "Aloha" on their skateboards. Super cool shop! We come stop by every single time we come to the island and I pretty much always leave with a dope board... whole set up... all right there.. affordable as hell but you can also spice it up the way you want with customs.
