If you need a referral for other services/doctors do not come here for it. My son was referred for speech in March, it is now almost August and the doctor still can't figure out how to sign the paperwork. I call weekly and get the same response... "we will let the referral coordinator know." Also, you see a different doctor every time- so you have to give them your child's history over and over. Only got 2 stars because the doctors are caring, nurses are great. read more

The office staff is continuously rude the two ladies at the front. If my son wasn't established with the doctor and having ongoing medical care I would have switched a long time ago. We normally have a really good experience here. The doctors, nurses, and staff are usually pretty good and caring. However, an MRI was ordered for my daughter and the imaging center is not in my network. I called the office several times and left several messages that I needed the order to be sent to another imaging center or to send me a copy of the order so that I can set the appointment. I finally went to the office today, because I never received a return call. They didn't give me an order they printed out what I could print out from the portal and then they told me they sent the order to two other imaging centers after I called the day before and when I left the office I called those imaging centers and they did not have any record of her orders being sent. They flat out lied to me. I have a kid who is in pain waiting on a MRI to find out what is going on with her knee. After we switched insurances I fought to stay with this doctors office, because we really liked the people there, but at this point I'm at a loss. read more

I had previously written a great review on Almouie, because I loved them. They have been my kids pediatrician since they were babies, but I will never return after my experience. I am absolutely appalled by the lies they spill on a constant basis. I am a very understanding person, all I ask is honesty. So here is my latest experience that will forever ruin Almouie for me. Firstly, Almouie is a great pediatrician if you have healthy kids that require no additional attention. Once they are sick or need something they are a disaster to work with, and will tell you lies to keep you off their back. I am a mom of 2 and my oldest was recently diagnosed with ADHD. Many know the medication for this is a controlled substance, that has experienced shortages for quite some time. I am completely understanding of this, which is why I called pharmacies to make sure we are able to get his medicine when it is needed. It is not my responsibility to call your office 50-60 times to get my prescription sent. It should NOT take me driving to the office 5 times before you give me honest answers. PARENTS SHOULD NOT BE LIED TO REGARDING THE STATUS OF THEIR MEDICATION BECAUSE YOU WANT IT TO SEEM EASY. I have wasted multiple hours between calling this pathetic location, their helpline and the pharmacy to make sure my son's medicine has been correctly sent. It is now Tuesday, and I have been calling since Friday morning and I was now finally informed (after driving up 3 times, calling the helpline 8 times and checking with the pharmacy 8 times). I was finally informed 5 minutes ago that it would now take 72 hours for the prescription to be sent. Mind you, this is 72 hours from today, not when I started asking about this on Friday (because I figured this would happen for the second time now.) My son's prescription is empty, when I did my due diligence to ensure they had adequate time to get everything done, and it is not. Parents, do not waste your time. You will be told lies upon lies because they do not want to be honest with the actual status of things. I am sure other pediatricians have issues too, but 7 days prior to all this, I had the same run around and I asked for honesty then. I am happy to follow procedures, I am happy to wait. I am not okay with being lied to just to be told something different when I return frustrated. This is the second time I have dealt with this and will not allow another opportunity for them to improve. The clinic manager provided no assistance or resolution. My advise for Almouie, is to stop lying to parents and be honest. I would be far more understanding if honestly was provided in the beginning instead of being pushed aside because lying made things easier for you. PS I am only giving one star because I am unable to give 0. I truly hope you improve for the sake of all parents. read more

So at first everything was fine! Then my son gets sick again with a fever and horrible cough that persisted on for 2 months. During those 2 months he was seen 5 times, swabbed 3. Nobody ever called to give the results of ANY swabs. Something happened to ugh the first 2 so no results given the 3rd was positive for rhinovirus and adenovirus. Finally got it he PA to order a chest X-ray this was LAST Monday (2nd) I called for the results, was on hold for 10 mins and told someone would call me back! Today is the 10th and still nothing. I've tried calling 5 times now and during normal business hours and nobody will answer! My son is only a year and a half old u would think they would be on top of his health care but guess not! Take ur children somewhere else, our kids deserve better. read more

I rated this office a 4/5 due to over 1 hr wait. I thought the staff was friendly and so was the Doctor. We were there for a "sick" visit and the only one in the waiting room. The visit was short and efficient once we got past the waiting room. I encourage this office to speed up in the back and if the patient has a prolonged wait communication is key. read more

My kids get what they need here, so overall happy with the doctors/visits. I am not happy with the scheduling/customer service. You will be on hold for a long time. Last time I called and put on hold, I was transferred to another caller who was also on hold! That's a great way not to deal with callers I guess lol. I would give 0 stars if I could. I had an appointment for 2:30 and 3 for my two children, and they stated it was for 2 and 2:30 and that I missed my sons appointment already. We waited an hour and a half for them to then tell us they wouldn't see my daughter either because they should have both been there at 2 even though we were on time for the 2:30 appointment. The Manager Samia Almouie was condescending and not willing to work with us at all. I called another location and got my kids in for the next day, and they stated it's not policy to cancel both appointments just because we missed the one, and that their office would have still seen both of my kids since I am an existing client and it's not normal for us to be late or miss appointments. None of that mattered to Samia or anyone at the Live Oak Office and wasted 1.5 hours of our day for no help. read more

Trust me if I can give them zero stars I would. My kids saw the office in Live Oak, TX. major issue is last time my son went for his 11 year physical and they did a scoliosis test within like seconds and she screams "scoliosis" loud enough for everyone outside the door to hear it. Then when she goes to check my daughter she calls my son "scoliosis" and tells him to go sit next to me. My son started to tear up because of course he thinks his life is over I'm pissed because she calls him scoliosis, and has no clue that what she just said could've been said with a little bit more softness like she cared. Then we had him go take his x-ray and they never get back to us about it. We've also have had nothing but issues with them every yearly physical they have different lab test required for one of my children to take but don't follow up with the same issue the following year even though the issue was flagged. we've also had issues with them referring us to offices they don't get back to us but don't provide us the information to get with them when we're at the office and when you called to get the number they sent you a number to add Spanish-speaking only office knowing we speak English. read more

It's the wait time that kills us the most! Sometimes we wait we'll over an hour and I have to remind the staff we are will in office. My daughter has been misdiagnosed & I understand that can happen sometimes however it didn't change the outcome until I requested to see a different provider. When it comes to referrals I'm the one who has to call and double check on that status. We are sad our previous pediatrician retired (diff dr office). ALMOUIE was the closets to our home and pre Covid was pleasant to visit. Good luck calling for an appt! I've been taking my kids here since we moved to Texas. Lately every visit we go to(and we get there ahead of time) we have waited wayyy too long!! It's also upsetting seeing how many people come in and out and the staff never wipe down the seats or door handles with Clorox wipes. Regardless of sick or healthy patients . I think the whole office and dr rooms could be cleaner. (Floors) besides these two complaints this office always sends my kids prescriptions quick to the pharmacy and treat my kids very well! read more

We're new to this clinic. I chose them thru the provider search on my insurance due to their location. The clinic is clean, the staff and dr are friendly. My only complaint is the wait time. To get an appointment it's not bad at all but once you get there, goodness. 3 appts in a little over a week. Each time we've waited over 30mins beyond our appointment time. We were on time each time. Hardly anyone in the waiting room. Still waiting.....i just don't understand what good it does to have an appointment if we're going to be sitting here waiting forever anyway. read more

The wait time for an appointment is over 1.5 hours. There is NO doctor here. She is a frigid, mean woman who should never have gone into the medical field. I'm going back to my old doctor 20 miles away so they can see my kids and not scare the crap out of them with talk of cardiologists and neurological disorders for asthma and migraines that have been on their record for years. We had our first visit today and the entire staff was fantastic. They made my children feel welcome and calm. The facility was clean a bright. The front office staff was so kind and helpful. The nurse and nurse practitioner we saw were above and beyond helpful. I am so glad we decided to try this office out. We look forward to our next check up. Also they have an after hours line for those 10 at night question that you're just not sure about. Overall amazing service today. read more
