This is not a "HIPPA request;" all businesses must comply with OSHA regulations, and healthcare providers are yearly required to receive vaccinations so that they do not pass along illnesses (the flu, hepatitus, etc.) to their patients. Broward Family Dental Care's *refusal* to answer this question means that they may now be falling outside of OSHA requirements, which means that if they accept *any* money from Medicaid/Medicare, Medicaid/Medicare can *refuse* to pay claims, and the office can be fined and even closed if they are not OSHA compliant. If someone won't answer if they *are* OSHA compliant, it would seem to me they are saying they are *not*. Caveat Emptor

I even went through the trouble of filing a formal appeal with Aetna, which was denied simply because of timing. This process has been stressful, time-consuming, and felt very misleading from start to finish. It is situated in a strip mall with ample parking spaces available less than 100 feet from the entrance.The office decor and ambiance were comfortable without pretense. Overall my initial impression was positive. A front-office assistant greeted me within 10-20 seconds after entering, and the waiting room's three chairs were empty. This tells me that the office's standarf operating procedure may be to diminish waiting time and support distancing recommendations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The office's internal foot-traffic control became more evident when I saw two or three patients return to the waiting room--one at a time--through a door, separating the waiting roon from a hallway to treatment rooms. Details such as these support my opinion that the office's management has created safety and a welcoming spirit by assuring that a new patient as I could complete all preliminary consents, medical history, and the like alone and uninterrupted until I was soon called, on time, to take a seat in my assigned treatment room. A staff member led the way to the treatment room rather than expecting me to go the distance in search of a numbered treatment room assigned to me. Yes, elsewhere and on multiple occasions, I have been subjected to scouting out a room, with a stranger 5-10 feet behind me barking out the room number--even correcting me when I failed to hit the mark on my first try. Not true of Luxe Dental, let's call the hunting and barking an unfriendly characteristic of many metro-area dental and medical practices. I cannot praise enough the choreographed staging my uneventful introduction provided me. It also instilled confidence long before I was introduced to the staff hygienist who took Xrays and an implant specialist who conducted a comprehensive dental and gingival exam. Prior to the first consultation appointment, my dental insurance information had been collected and confirmed. I also received a confirmatory call from an administrative assistant, updating me to my available benefits and reminding me to arrive ten minutes before the appointed time to complete admission paperwork. I might add a personal touch afforded me while I waited. I felt comfortable asking for water, which came in a disposable cup. More times than not, I don't ask any favors from the start--maybe I'm too shy but I assure you that the hospitality of this office was palpable in the welcome I received. It warmed my shy reticense. The office visit would have included a discussion of a plan of care, but my personal schedule did not allow it the same day. Instead, the office manager provided an appointment that easily fit my busy schedule during the same week to cover the care plan and projected procedural costs. My hope is to update this review as I experience more reasons why I recommend Luxe Dental highly without reservations.
