After relocating to Columbus from NYC I took a look in the mirror and noticed that my brows were…read moregetting too unruly. I was skeptical of finding anyone to do my brows as I had been seeing the same lady in NYC for 11+ years and it was devastating saying goodbye to someone who kept my brows perfect! I asked a colleague of mine for recommendations and she said without hesitation to go see Nisha as she's quick and does a good job. Lucky for me while browsing Groupon I found a great deal on eyebrow threading at Nisha's brow bar (50% off). Eyebrows are normally $10 which is not a bad price! I went today after work to an empty salon and was greeted immediately by Nisha. She asked what services I came in for and asked if I was familiar with threading, which of course I was so there wasn't a whole lot of explaining to do. She asked if I wanted to clean up my brows or wanted to reshape them. After a quick chat to set the stage that I just wanted a clean up of my brows and maintaining the shape, she pointed me to a seat and it was time to hope that I came out with two nice, cleaned up, and even eyebrows. Nisha was super quick and while threading can be painful, her technique minimized the pain as much as possible. In a few minutes she was like you're all done and handed me the mirror to take a look. I was pleasantly surprised that my eyebrows were cleaned up just the way I wanted them. They were even and not taken down too thin and were not super rounded in shape. I'm glad she's close to work, as I've definitely found my new go to place for threading needs!

I would like to preface by saying my facialist was great. My review is more for the environment. I…read moreexpected a private room or atleast a little bit of privacy for my "relaxing facial" but it was very similar to being at a hair salon. The floor plan is open, there was zero privacy and I was sat right by the front door. People checking in could see me, I could hear everyone's conversation and barely the music. It was overall awkward and not very relaxing from my previous experiences. I don't believe I will be going back- the price was very high for a nail salon feel. The facial itself, was enjoyable.

A lot of people I know go there for skin care services and that's exactly what I was looking for. After browsing their reviews on Yelp and the services on their website, I made an appointment for a few days later - it was super easy. I arrived to find a very spa-like, cozy and calming space. I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and it wasn't very long before a staff member introduced themselves to me and led me back to a room to discuss my needs. I had Brittany and she was lovely. She asked a lot of questions about what I was looking for, gave me options to choose from, and even priced me out before getting things started. That was really appreciated by the way. She sold me on a membership type deal where they collect $50 on a monthly basis and add it to a "bank" that I can use for services in the future. It pretty much adds up over time until your next visit and then it doesn't feel like as much of an expense when the time comes. I've done this at nail salons and can confirm it's a nice thing to have. For this trip I went with some wrinkle relaxers, aka botox. It had been a hot minute since the last time I got it and it was a breeze. Pain free to the point where I hardly felt it. My results came in within a week or so and they're great. I definitely plan on continuing so I can maintain some youthful skin as I age. I have no doubt that I'll give their other services a go in the future. I'll end with a few things I always look for in a business.. This spot is locally owned, it's affordable, the service was great, and the place is really clean.

The reason why I'm leaving a review though is to mention that the experience wasn't what I'd hope for. Being naïve with my first ever lash lift, I paid for my session and tipped. I'm sitting in my car trying to feel myself and these new lifted lashes, but all I could see was black residue from products she used. My lashes were also clearly unevenly curled which was unfortunate. I feel like Kay was not taking care of me, assisting other people while it was seconds from removing product from my lashes. I was never in a private room like the other clients, but sat in the main room where people entered and left the building. I'm not sure If I'll be coming back, but I'm desperately looking for a reliable place in Columbus still. Also I wanted to mention that she did tell me that if I called within the next week I could get them redone, but this was only if they had visibly fallen. As much as I hoped they would fall a little so I could get them redone, the lashes stay intact for the most part! It was the experience during and the results that really bummed me out!
