First I was told they will be 1/2 hr late because of traffic (on a Sunday in Jackson Hole?!). Second call was they will be still 1/2 hr late due to, this time, construction (again, on a Sunday in Jackon Hole?!). Third call was "the shuttle is in route to the airport. But with only one road from the airport and town, there was no Jackson Hole Shuttle nor construction to be seen from the taxi I ended up taking after waiting 1/2 hr and a very long travel day. The guy from Jackson Hole was basically lying and rather rude saying the fare was non-refundable. Other members on our tour that had used this shuttle said that they had to wait over an hour past their scheduled pickup times. On my return booking, I skipped this terribly unreliable shuttle since I had a connection through Denver that I didn't want to miss. And with upgraded seats that I paid an extra $400 for, I wasn't about to take a chance that the shuttle would show up at 5:15AM on a Saturday to take me and the Mrs. to the airport. This charge is being disputed with my credit card even though it was a non-refundable charge. Now I know why they list it as that. That way they can be as late as they want, or as I was told by an airport worker a, not show up at all. Also the hotel front desk person said that they have become unreliable. I had pre-booked and prepaid for a one way pickup reservation for the airport to town for a specific time, 2:00PM departure. I arrived at the pickup location 5-10 minutes before departure time and discovered that the driver had given my seat to a walk-up rider. I mentioned my reservation and told him I had my paid receipt on hand. The driver said the van was full, but that another van would show up soon, for a departure that would leave around 2:30. A friend who works at the airport offered to give me a ride into town so I told the driver I was cancelling my reservation and wanted my fare returned to my credit card. The driver gave me the phone number to call, so I left them a message but have not had any response from the company in the four intervening weeks. Their price is reasonable (hence one star) , so I may use in the future, but I won't bother making a reservation. The reservations are meaningless and only favor the company, not the customer.

Unethical and Dishonest Practices…read more After 30 years of booking hundreds of executive and personal car services worldwide, I have never encountered an operation as unprofessional or unethical as United Car Service of Jackson Hole. For our family vacation departure on Monday, we booked an 8:15 AM ride to the airport. When making the reservation, I specifically verified their 24-hour cancellation policy--a terms-of-service clause explicitly confirmed verbally and printed directly on the digital Square payment link they sent me. Due to a schedule change, I called to cancel on Saturday evening--well over 36 hours in advance of our scheduled pickup. Instead of processing the cancellation, the representative hostilely informed me that they have a "48-hour policy" and would be keeping 50% of the fare. Even after I sent him a screenshot of their own live payment link explicitly stating a 24-hour policy, he flatly refused to honor his own company's written terms. Realizing I was dealing with a bad-faith operator, I ended the call and immediately turned the charge over to American Express Platinum customer service to dispute. Jackson Hole has limited transport options, but do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. A business that blatantly lies about its own written policies cannot be trusted with your logistics.
