Masood made the process easy and understandable, he was also very patient as I tried to organize and gather all the necessary documents and forms I needed to process taxes. Andy (owner) is an absolute nightmare of incompetence…read more Beware; Don (passed away) and Henson (sold partnership) the founders are no longer owners of this company. Andy admitted to me he has never filed mark to market 475(f) which created a misclassification of income costing me $100k+ in taxation of earned income that should have been tax deductible had he known what he was doing. He does not provide itemized billing so no clue what he's charging for and unethical billing practice in calculating invoice.. he guesses at what sounds best to him.. he bills for work he is unqualified to file then will claim "I have no fiduciary duty"--there is always a fiduciary duty to do what's in best interest of client especially when directed by client. He bills without scope of engagement then claims "work was not included in scope of engagement or I would have terminated contract". Mind you; he was terminated by me for his incompetence when he began back-stepping his liability.. He filed claim with his E&O insurance before I even hired my Attorney. They won't protect what's coming once I have calculated all damages to the penny. My tax attorney contacted IRS private letter ruling October in denial of late election relief due to monetary injury to govt by reclassification (another lie by Andy that I could go through courts--no such IRS courts as it's filed through filing PLR) stay away from Andy.

He analyzed my past returns (a lady messed up my taxes so she could get paid more at another agency) and explained what happened and how it could be avoided. After talking to him, I found out that he has 10 years of experience in the business and helps individuals with simple and complex taxes all over the U.S. I've filed with Turbo Tax, H&R Block and other agencies and none compare to the service I received from him. He makes my life extraordinarily easy. My tax returns in the past have been a series of challenges. I have never once had to struggle working with Jay. I consider what we pay him as average even moderate compared to some of the tax accountants I've used. Thank you, Jay.

We hired Jay for our business taxes and my personal taxes on…read morean emergency basis last year after we were suddenly dropped by our accountant of 10 years (see review for Karen S Freeman). During our phone interview Jay sounded great and especially loved the fact he was crypto literate. It was downhill from there. Here are the negatives..... 1, He kept accusing us og not knowing hot to properly do bookkeeping and asking us to turn over our bookkeeping to him - for a fee of course. We have never had any CPA complain about our bookkeeping and we have been doing it for 19 years. 2. He failed to depreciate our buildings at our business thereby causing me to end up owing the IRS an additional 15k in taxes that I should have never paid. Our new CPA caught this and filed an amended return to correct the mess Jay created. 3. He never filed the franchise tax report with the TX Comptroller's office and never bothered to mention that he did not file it. This caused us to get a notice from the state putting us out of business until we remedy this by filing our report. Again our new CPA is handling it. 4. Jay is constantly trying to upsell services as add ons that other CPA firms include in their tax preparation service. Also when something goes wrong it is always the clients issue never his responsibility. Stay away. This was the worst accounting experience ever.

When we asked about the steep increased amount, we were told that we'd be given a 15% discount for being long-time clients of the firm. The discount amount was quoted at 5% vs. 15% we were just told we'd be given. It was not a promising start with the new owners for both the price hike and not being able (or willing) to calculate a discount amount correctly. Went elsewhere.
