I knew the problem was a bad blower motor, but by the time they had diagnosed it, it was a $20,000 bill. Now, I'm not the smartest guy in the. World, but I've been around long enough to know when someone is trying to replace the whole car, when it only has a flat tire...if you know what I mean. They did relent and say they would just replace the motor for $1400. Well again,I didnt just fall off of the turnip truck, so I paid them the $99 and sent them on their way to try and find another sucker. I called a more local company who showed up today, had the part on their truck, installed, without absurd upselling and was done in an hour or so. For $700. Case closed. I purchased a twice-a-year HVAC check-up service agreement, and it has been well worth the money. Last spring, Balance Comfort sent out an outstanding female technician (apologies, I don't remember her name), and today, Cristian came to inspect my heater. Both were young, highly knowledgeable, and thorough in their work. They each spent about an hour ensuring my system was running smoothly. I highly recommend Balance Comfort for their professionalism and quality service!

Their communication and reviews had me sold. Then when they installed the equipment it didn't match what we paid for. The error was recognized by me and they offered me an extended warranty as a result. Due to their great service during this time I felt like they resolved my issue. There were also hiccups with the air unit that they fixed. Fast forward to 2026 when we needed a new water heater. We received several quotes and this one was comparable. They installed it a few days later and all appeared well. We paid $575 for the permit process to Balanced Comfort. They said we would get the inspection within 1-2 weeks. I called three different times and was told they did the paperwork, and lastly to call the city myself. When I called the city they said it had never been filed. I had to call Balanced Comfort again and again to get the plumbing manager to call me back. When he did it's clear he doesn't have customer service training. He's rude and was like oh well it's filed now. It took six weeks total and action on my part or it may never have been completed, a paid service. Next up the inspection. spoiler alert! We didn't pass. The inspector was clear they cut corners and should have known better. He advised I call the company and let them know. When I did, the plumbing manager was beyond rude to me and said "these things happen".... I will never give them my business again.

However, he took the time to listen to the problem (Leaking main). He added me to his schedule very quickly. He knew that I was very stressed out and worried about the situation. His crew came out and took care of everything. The service was professional, friendly, and affordable. The difference between Goode Plumbing and others that I called.... The others would not give me even a vague ballpark figure of how much it would cost or how quickly they can fix it without coming to my house. Goode Plumbing took the time to let me explain everything, I send a couple pictures, they provided me with a ball park idea of cost. I understood that it could change once his crew arrived due to my explanation and other things that may change the estimate. They fixed it and stayed at the quote. There was a little misunderstanding, but they were willing to take care of it, however I was able to take care of it on my own. I do not feel as intimidated by my plumbing as I did before this incident. They took the time to explain so many things to me.

They were right on time, professional, really great at explaining what they were doing (even providing information on a plumbing need we have in the future) and super friendly. They left everything clean, wrote up a very descriptive summary and everything was repaired or replaced as planned. I hope to see these two when we do our next plumbing project.
