It sucked, and it was my fault, but when I called to see if I could get my coverage reinstated I was told "you can pay if you want, but that doesn't mean your insurance is going to get reinstated". You sell insurance and you don't know if we can fix this or not? I have rarely been treated like such an annoyance.
