I reached out via email to three different insurance agencies to inquire about their Surety Bond offerings. The other agencies responded by sending me forms with perplexing terminology. In stark contrast, Ross Olive's office promptly arranged a phone conference with me. An agent named Loren Ridge called me at the scheduled time. He explained the process to me while completing the forms on my behalf while I relaxed. A confusing task made easy with friendly and kind people.

In brief: One star is a generous score for this office, and Ross personally and professionally, who…read moreshould be removed as an agent. In detail: 23+ year plus state farm client, and a client of Ross for easily 10 years or more. I pay my bill, never file claims and is essentially the perfect insurance client. The only claim I have had in decades was with a recent deer strike in my car this year. At every stage of the claim, Ross and his office was polite incompetence: Towing, I had it handled within hours of the event and yet was told if I didn't use their recommended company it would be "much harder". The emphasis was that if I didn't use their recommended service, even though I could (bad tone) use someone else, it would be better for me. They were wrong, and clearly trying to guide me poorly almost with a sense of cronyism to a certain company. Rental car: I was able to setup a car quickly but found out my rental allowance hadn't been adjusted in over 10 years, even though this office claims to review the policies. Their response? Ooops.. and adjusted the value upwards but did me no good whatsoever as the claim happened before the adjustment. Even though it was their mistake, me having a rental for a couple of days when the car would be down for several months, was MY problem to solve. Repair: Again, heavy blatant overtones that if I don't use their recommended shop there will be problems. The selected shop is the only manufacturer certified shop in the entire region, and the only choice. Every step along the way, of the claim, the information, the repair quotes was a fight but a fight on my part to handle. If I hadn't escalated to SF leadership, it would have taken longer, been done with subpar used parts, and completed at a subpar shop. Ross and his office was not only no help, but took the tack with me that I should just accept whatever I get and that my policy authorized used parts in repair. Keep in mind, a senior state farm leader was unable to find the quoted price OR availability of the used part that was quoted, and approved the repair with all new parts after that was pointed out. I went through the quoted appraisal line by line with a senior SF leader and we found multiple mistakes and misquotes. Keep in mind that happened because I did the work, the research and phone calls. I spent easily 40+ hours over a month ensuring that my repair was done correctly, not Ross or his office in any way. I cannot stress more clearly, if I hadn't put in the work to ensure my car was repaired properly, it wouldn't have happened and Ross and his office not only didn't make that easier, but they also actively made it harder every step along the way. Change of coverage: After that claim was closed successfully entirely due to my hard work and time, I sold the car. I had a detailed conversation with Ross directly about coverage of a new car, to ensure that in the event of a similar experience, no issues would arise. The conversation devolved very quickly as according to him, the previous experience was completely fine, acceptable, and only went well due to "his hard work and that of his office". He also then made it clear that a customer with my expectations was not a good fit for State farm, and implied his office, and should look elsewhere. If your expectations are that your insurance works with you, and your alleged agent is working with you, then Ross is absolutely right, I should look elsewhere and already have. I was able to EASILY setup the right kind of insurance coverage for my car, which he told me is not possible. It was quick, easy, and absolutely possible. I have filed a formal complaint with State Farm and the WA insurance commissioner, as he and his office deserve to be thoroughly investigated. State farm has lost a quarter century customer due to Ross Olive personally, and I cannot recommend his office in any way shape or form.

It's a local ran place with at least 20 years or more of great community service. They've probably been around longer but when I first went to them it was about twenty years ago. Back then I was just a pup who had a need for speed and racked up a LOT of tickets in a very little amount of time. Amazed that I still even had a license getting insurance wasn't exactly the same. Most places wouldn't even take me and the current one I'd been using was charging me 475$ a month just for liability . And oh yea that was also for a (I'm not going to call it a POS but we'll you get the idea) cheap car hhaha. Anyways when I came to Beckler it was because I'd heard good things from the community about them. Long story short they were beyond the nicest people I'd ever dealt with and I left with a HUUUUGE grin on my face. They were able to find me the very best rate at an extremely low cost (considering my 17 tickets that is ). Now, fast forward all those years and low and behold, here they are.I was amazed that not only do they still get you the best rate in the NATION but also still have the same great customer service that I remembered them for. Katie was not only very professional but an absolute doll with handling everything. Very attentive and answered all my questions with a smile, it's nice to go somewhere and be helped by people who actually love what they do. To me that makes a big difference. This is maybe only my second or third one of these I've ever done because usually it is to tell people to stay the hell away hahahah. However I am a firm believer in that you don't get a tip just because you're a waiter, you get a tip because you go above and beyond my expectations. And that is EXACTLY what Katie and everyone at Beckler insurance has done for me! THANKS YOU GUYS

They caused my current homeowners insurance to cancel all the while trying to tell me it's just a computer glitch. Long story short the person handling my policies in the Maple Valley office had not a clue about how to properly proceed with two policies then this agent, Tania, tried to correct the mess but didn't. She called late on a Friday evening telling me that she understands I have some questions about my policies and proof of insurance and asks me to call her back and tried to provide some weak excuses for what happened​ in the message. Not once did she state that my original policy had not been cancelled which is what I had repeatedly told her trainee I wanted to be assured had not happened. Today I cancelled my 3 auto policies and both home owners policies with American Family Insurance and switched to another company. (Let's see if they can get this cancellation right) I had been with AMFAM for years and have watched a steady decline in customer service and competence of this company's agents in my area. Tania McLaughlin splits her time between their Woodinville office and their Maple Valley office, leaving her trainee/sales specialist to handle clients in her absence. Something that does not bode well for clients as was indicated by my experience. Then having some unkempt, scruffy individual come to take photos of our properties exuded an unparalleled lack of professionalism. This agency has proven to be a complete bevy of ineptitude and incompetence. I would caution anyone to stay well away if you are searching for insurance and would highly recommend to those who work through the Maple Valley office to keep a close eye on their policies if they attempt to make any changes to them. Better yet find a company that has an experienced agent that is proficient in their field with a company that doesn't have the unbelievably high agent turnover/movement AMFAM has. Tania makes the fourth AMFAM agent I have had since 2009. All this and not very competitive rates to boot. State Farm was very competitive on home owners and commercial insurance and beat AMFAMs auto rates.

I have emails to prove my side of the story, but these people are brain dead. They refuse to admit…read moretheir incompetence. I corresponded with April on August 13-14 and she said she would begin deducting our homeowners policy fee along with our auto policy. Long story short: our policy was canceled for non payment. Clearly, she did not follow through. When we received notice of cancellation (which included a $25 reinstatement fee) I contacted office and spoke with April's assistant. She was adamant that I had to pay fee even though I told her policy should never have been canceled in the first place because it was worked out with April. She said April would call me back. That never happened. The following week, because April never called us, we called again to follow up. It was now three days too late to reinstate policy. Not only was I to pay a $25 fee for a NEW policy, but my deductible was now $2500 instead of $500 because I was considered a new customer. In addition, I was dinged because my old policy lapsed. The nerve of these people!! My new premium was $1656 instead of the $1123 I had previously paid. When I wrote an email to April telling her I would be canceling all of our policies, she wrote back that my policy went up because I didn't pay the premium! Duh, the premium that SHE said SHE would add to the auto policy! I've switched our policies to State Farm. I honestly don't mind mistakes. We all make them. However, I am annoyed by people that just won't admit they made one and attempt to shift the blame.
