My exit was handled very badly, my cancellation document, which I signed and have a copy of, was never sent to the insurer, so weeks later I had to call the insurer directly and get that taken care of myself. But this wasn't the only time, many times in the past I could never get my agent to call me back. I guess she was off chasing big commercial real estate deals, and we private homeowners are too small to care about? I came to the office few weeks ago to inquire about how to remove her from my account. The lady behind the counter seemed to be a new-hire. She had to ask her coworker and printed out a summary from her screen. She gave me a paper with highlights of 4 $100 items. At that time, it was only a $200 bill. Of course, I was puzzled with $400 but my bill was only $200. I wanted to get an updated bill, but they don't provide me one. So, I went home to pay with a customer service representative. That call took over an hour because they can't find my Texas membership and kept denying me even existed. Yeah. I started my AAA Membership in California. Then, I moved to Hawaii. About 18 years ago, I moved to Texas. Whenever I call, it kept referring me to my Hawaii membership. "Sorry sir, your account is cancelled." WHAT??! I was furious. So, I came back to the office again. This time, I talked to an experienced agent on the counter, Paul (I hope I got his name right). He broke things down to explain the details to my satisfaction.
