    This review is longgg overdue…read more I'm a snowbird in Tucson. And having trained with an excellent trainer in Seattle, I wanted to do something more challenging and *different*. Thanks to the great Yelp reviews I found Patricia. Patricia was offering the 12 week transformation, where you go from flab to fab, but that's not what interested me. It was her personal gym which is filled to the brim with excellent equipment for every body part (and some body parts you never knew existed - OUCH! ;) Patricia also had accompanying meal plans and supplements. Since I started with the supplements and meal plans, I've not had the excrutiating post-workout muscle pain that prevents me from getting off the floor after 12 hip thrusters (the pain is *real*, ladies!) Drinking a gallon of water a day also really helps. Thanks to Patricia's, egg whites, Isopure Whey Protein, supplements and are part of my forever meal plan, as boring as they sound. I've changed the macros of my diet, though if I really want to do the total body transformation like some of the awesome ladies whose pictures are posted on the "wall of fame" I have to reduce my fat intake to a level where I feel that life isn't worth living anymore. Like all programs, Patricia's transformation is what we make of it. In the meantime, I've stayed the same weight as when I started the program, but just the other day I deadlifted 150lbs! (Though with a hex bar.) At Lowe's, I loaded my cart with about 200lbs worth of edging stone, while another guy gaped at me. Yes, and that's the other thing - Patricia's gym is mainly female-centric, so that we ladies can feel safe and empowered to reach our utmost abilty. I really enjoyed my time training with Patricia and appreciated how accessible she was, even outside of our training sessions. And I'm looking forward to going back to Tucson and starting back up with her again.

He charges by the Jon knows how to motivate you and keeps it fun even through hardest workouts. He does his homework and is prepared when we arrive with a list of exercises that are tailored to our goals and limitations. I am able to lift more than I ever thought I could already and my endurance, mobility, weight, and strength have all improved.     Truth be told, I was a wreck when I initially came to Parsons Training. I was over 400 pounds,…read moresteadily looking forward to an early death (after many years of soul searching and introspection after the fact, I came to this conclusion) and really had no concept of fitness. I regarded it as some kind of light switch that sheer motivation and careful life editing could manage. But it is a process, and you need people that will help rewrite that process at several points during the journey. My personal journey has had some ups and downs....no question. I have always found a steady influence at Parsons to keep me on the track I am going, even if I struggle with things outside the gym. It has been a constant, and this is what fitness is truly about. Corporate gyms are great to be a part of, but they only serve the purpose of separating you from your money. At Parsons you actually get to know the people that work there. You get to see other people on the same journey as you and you can actually talk and share ideas and experiences. This is the part that I really enjoy and has kept me faithful even though my spirit and my personal life has sometimes interfered with my fitness journey. I am still here, still strong and still working. Even if you have another gym that you go to, getting the personalized help you need is essential to your regimen. You can't just mimic the bros at your corporate gym and expect to get better. Often times you need that help to get you over the hump and give you the proper expectations of what you want and need to do to accomplish that goal. I have found a lot of those things at Parsons Training, and I will always be grateful to my parents who gave me that push to go join this gym. To this day I still can't believe how far I have come and the realization of my former life. I have learned so much about health and fitness during this time that owner and operator Jon Parsons often lets me come up with the workout...with some helpful suggestions of course. So I will say this, be good to yourself and be good to your body. Make the changes you need to succeed and put your money on your health. Only you can save yourself and this is certainly the first step.
