Holy mackerel! Do not usually get this hyped regarding donuts, but it must be shared. Old town Bluffton has a gem in the Alljoy Donut Co. Donuts are light and airy and come in a variety of flavors. Get you some maple bacon because the ratio of bacon to maple is perfect and the dichotomous nature of he sweet and savory is a thing of beauty. The service was great also! Very friendly and fast. Don't be put off by the parking lot nature of the front of the store, service is quick and all the people are very friendly..... Great donuts. We've tried the peach fritter, Reese's, unicorn, strawberry jam, and plain glazed donuts. Everything is delicious. Service is fast and friendly. Lots of good options to choose from. They're only open Friday-Sunday though, so limited hours. Very popular around here! They stay busy. read more

I absolutely love the strawberry doughnut. The dark pink icing was not just 'pink', it was very flavorful! It tasted exactly like sweet strawberries. I went back for a pistachio doughnut. Stopped in Bluffton looking for a place to sit and work but this and one other coffee shop were the only ones open. Alljoy closed at 1pm so we opted to try since it was only 11:30am. One gentleman greeted us then went into the back leaving a scurrying lady to help us. We felt extremely rushed to pick out our donut and coffee, which by the way was brewed (not espresso). She was nice but the whole 3 minute experience was awkward and not welcoming! Donuts were so-so and coffee left wanting. Great outdoor seating and super cute place. read more

The best donuts in the area, state and if it wasn't for Southern California the USA. A great atmosphere on a Friday (buying them by the dozen for work) or weekend (a lot of families with kids in PJ's), these are a real gem of the low country. This is a cool spot in Bluffton. We stayed at an airbnb right down the road from Alljoy. They were only open Fri-Sun. Not sure if that's the norm or if it's due to covid. It's a cute little donut shop with tasty options! We ordered the coconut, apple chocolate, chocolate fudge and unicorn. All were really great, but the winner was the applejack. My wife liked the AppleJack (I think was what it was called) My daughter raved over the white cream filled chocolate donut and I don't think my son settled on a favorite, he thought they were all great. I loved Alljoy Donuts and told everyone I knew about them, even bringing dozens to work multiple times so everyone could try them, hoping to provide the new place business, since they were so good. This loyalty was repaid by the apparently now spoiled owners decreasing their hours to 7-1, Friday through Sunday. So they are now open 3 days a week when they routinely run out of donuts by the end of every day! This place is only like 2 years old, if that. Absolutely amazing donuts. Way better than a chain, even though beating Krispy Kreme is a hard thing to do. We ordered a half dozen, which included an apple fritter, Reese's, salted caramel, lemon poppyseed, buttercream filled, and chocolate frosted. Seriously melt in your mouth good! There was quite a line to get into the quaint shop fairly early on a Sunday morning so we knew we'd made a good decision. The air outside smelled of cinnamon, sugar, and baked good yumminess. Because of social distancing they were only allowing 2 people/ families in at a time. It's a small shop so it wasn't as if you'd want many more people in there with you at a time anyway. The employees were quick and helpful. We got coffee to go with our order (medium roast for him, dark roast for me) with no flavor shots. We were pleased with the smoothness. The price for everything was more than reasonable and we were more than happy with our last minute decision to find a "good, local donut place" as a first morning of vacation treat. Every day since my bf has said he needs to go back for a dozen buttercream filled donuts because they're the best he's ever had. My favorite (I didn't get to try the buttercream filled donut...LOL) was the Reese's. Omgoodness!! So very good, especially if you're a chocolate and peanut butter lover like me.
