Just on the side of the busy A9, lies a lovely wee garden center with a good choice of plants and gifts. It also has a nice wee cafe where they serve Ben & Nanani Coffees and a good choice of snacks, sanwiches and cakes. I choose the bacon roll because it as a horrid wet cold day and it was the first thing i smelt as i walked through the doors. I also ordered a cappuccino.
The cappucino was good as was the bacon roll, but did have to ask for brown sauce as wasn't asked at the counter when I placed my order. There was no problem as the server brought a decent portion in a wee dish out to the table. The bacon roll was tasty.
The tearoom did feel a tad bit cold and only has one wood burner in a corner.
I did think it was a wee bit expensive - 2 coffees, bacon roll and a scone with butter and jam came to £9.65. But the coffee and the bacon roll did warm me up. i think my mum enjoyed her scone and coffee too. read more
