Horrible service! Had an appointment at 9a.m. after checking in, I sat in the lobby for an hour and a half until I was finally called back. Sat in the chair for about 30 mins until someone came and checked on me. Sent me to get xrays, the lady started the xrays and then said she had to go help someone else real quick. Left me sitting in the xray room for 15 mins. She came back, finished and told me to go sit back in the chair and the dentist would come see me. Sat in the chair for about 45 mins irritated already. When the dentist finally came, looked at my teeth and said we can not do a cleaning, you need a,b, and c done and we can do it all today. By that time I had been there almost 3 hours already and said no I would schedule another day. She then told me to sit in the lobby to schedule next appointment, waited for over 15 mins and was never called, so got up and left. Will never go back! Horrible! Over 3 hours and all that was done was an xray. read more

Patricia at Allington dent scheduled my daughters appt on Aug 8th to come back on Aug 29th for a procedure. After driving 40 miles, taking her out of school & missing work. There was never an appointment made!! When we went on August 8th a woman with children had had the same thing done to her 3 times. If Patricia can't schedule appointment efficiently then she shouldn't be doing the job. And she's rude & unprofessional. read more

The receptionist at the front desk is rude (the female who verifies insurance) I sat waiting for 45 minutes while she verified my insurance ... seriously should have already been checked .... Then I get my granddaughter back only to wait another 35 minutes ....and get a rude hygienist. Thank God for good insurance and other dentist offices!!!! That place is a hot mess!!!! On top of all this I sat and watched a hygienist let a parent in the X-ray room while doing the X-rays on the child , that's definitely not allowed ! read more

This office is so slow. We waited over an hour in a room without anyone coming back to tell us anything. No apology for taking so long. Nothing! Glad this was the last appointment with them, because this happens every time we come here! read more

I agree with many of the reviews here. The people at the local clinic have a very good customer service disposition. The dentists have all been fine, but it seems the organization has a difficult time keeping them. One can expect that they will not have the same dentist by the time their procedures are finished. You can see that the local staff struggle with understaffing, even though they maintain a cordial attitude. Unfortunately, it is often hard to get a call answered locally, and that an appointment must be made by an out-of-state call center that forces you to go through them for communications; which makes it very difficult to discuss issues related to on-going treatment. They say they are sending a message to local, but you usually don't get a call back and are spun into the same frustrating cycle. The same is true with billing issues, which they force to be handled through a de-centralized system, and sometimes the charges reflected at the local office and corporate are not the same. The poor evaluations by patients, most about activities handled by corporate, have been around for a long time and leads to the conclusion that the ownership (business initiating dentists, I think) has little interest in practice quality improvement. Additionally, I have seldom called the call center that someone wasn't either rude or defensive. It is my belief that the owners of this multi-office practice are most interested in bleeding as much money from the operations as they can at the expense of satisfactory customer experiences. They either don't read the reviews, or they just don't care. Someone needs to get in charge of this operation. read more

Took my almost 1 year old here. The dental hygienist was very sweet and gentle with her, Dr. G, was very nice. I will say when I made the initial call, by Googling "pediatric dentist", it is listed as Kool Smiles Dentist, so I clarified that it was a pediatric dentist. The receptionist's tone was a little rude, when I was asking question she seemed annoyed, which I found rude. Also, while there, a person came in to ask questions. The receptionist working pretty dismissed the person and answered the phone, not even saying bye or thank you. read more

Normally I don't leave a review for places like this but this place is by far the worst dentistry we've been to. This isn't knocking the dentists at all, just the business (which has also changed its name since we've been here). We've been in San Angelo for three years and have had nothing but problems with them from the start. Billing problems, overcharging, rude representatives, all of it. They've done decent work on my families teeth, but I feel like they could've received better care now at a different place. I've tried calling the customer line to talk about my problems but they ignored me. Do yourself a favor and find someone else. read more

I went to this dentist about a month ago and received news that I would need 11 fillings, which would equal 1,989$. Not to mention, their x ray equipment made my mouth start gushing blood. I have never had a single cavity in my life before this visit, so naturally I went to my childhood dentist (in my hometown) for a second opinion. I was panicked and so worried that I had not been properly taking care of my teeth and that I had ruined them. They re did all of my xrays at my childhood dentist and told me that there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with a single one of my teeth. I didn't even have a single cavity. The most I had was some coffee staining. Do what you will with this information but they almost drilled 11 holes in my perfectly healthy teeth. read more

The people here are helpful and great with the kids but it is incredibly hard to make an appointment here. You never speak directly with a local person, it's always a call line and they constantly cancel appointments and reschedule. For this reason we chose to change dentists. read more

After years of not-so-pleasant local dental experiences, Allington Dental has proven a pleasure to do business with. My first visit was on 08.20.2021, and within 2 weeks, we completed: routine work, a fill, veneer prep, veneers, and an impression for a night guard. I thought I would travel to Mexico for veneers, but after meeting Dr. Harish Gogineni (Dr. G) and the others (Javier, Ciera, Sadie, Tracy, Stephanie, & Simone), I decided I wouldn't mind paying more for their type of care and services. Fortunately, their pricing is comparable, and I didn't have to think twice! I appreciate their follow-through, and that before we move on to the next step, I am informed and sign-off on the expected cost, if any. Every single employee mentioned made what is typically an anxiety-producing experience a pleasant one. I cannot recommend Dr. G and his team enough! I could not ask for a better experience. From the receptionist, the hygienist, office manager, assistants, to the dentist Dr. G. Everyone is always extremely friendly and very patient. My whole family is seen here and I can't imagine going anywhere else. I was worried when it changed from "Kool Smiles" to "Allington Dental" that there might be some changes but there hasn't been anything negative. Thank y'all! read more
