We stayed at the Radisson Blu in Sligo for a couple nights…read more The hotel had plenty of spaces for parking which was complementary. We could see the mountains just from the view at the parking lot. We were able to check into our room early in the morning which was a nice surprise as we could drop off our luggage and explore. Our room was clean, very spacious and we had more than enough room for all our luggage. Unfortunately this Radisson didn't have robes or slippers for use in the room. If you don't have a car, this hotel is out of the way as it is not located in a convenient spot (not walking distance to the city). Didn't drive myself at night but it would have been difficult with how dark it was given there were no street lights. The breakfast was buffet style and had a decent selection of classic Irish breakfast items. Nothing fancy but it fuelled us up for the day. Suggest coming earlier for breakfast (9am or earlier) as it gets busier through the morning and you might need to wait for a table. We got to use the pool and jacuzzi. Swimming in the pool requires wearing a swimming cap which we didn't have so we purchased at 3 euros each. As we got there an hour before close on a weekday, it was not busy at all. We were able to enjoy the uncrowded facility. Overall, had a decent stay at the Radisson!

Ten of my family members stood here at the Radisson Blue Hotel and Spa in Sligo for a total of 8 DAYS!! We enjoyed all the amenities that come with our stay: breakfast buffet, gym, and pool. We also purchased three full body massages from the spa and enjoyed dinner here four out of the eight nights of our stay. The buffet had a wide selection and of course, everything you need to create your typical Irish breakfast! I definitely encourage people to get there breakfast before 8:30 a.m. My family and I would go around 7:30 most days and had the restaurant to ourselves! The staff was also very kind and welcoming. The gym and pool were nice. The hot tub in the pool area was not hot at all so that was kind of disappointing. You need a swim cap for the pool, so if you don't want to borrow one I recommend bringing your own! The ones they provide fall off easily anyway. The gym was clean and had everything you need to complete a typical session. The spa was beautiful. However, I was pretty disappointed with the steam room. When we were there it was not steamy at all and barely warm. I discovered later that when we went it was not working properly which was a bummer, I was really looking forward to using it. There were three of us that got full body massages. My boyfriend was dissatisfied. However, my father and I enjoyed our massages. If you have tension in a particular area I recommend brining that to their attention. The restaurant there was good. The staff was always really nice. Our waitress Made was always really nice and attentive. I notice the restaurant gets really busy weeknights. I definitely think more staffing would be beneficial to accommodate the hotel guests and outsiders that come to the hotel restaurant for dinner. Side note: on the weekends the hotel gets busy as it is a popular place to host weddings and parties!

Then roll over to the Reel Inn (it's just at corner near the bridge) where they have live music every night of the week and usually a good crowd. As a local (or ex-local) going in here for the 1st time I felt like I'd walked into Deliverance (google it), some odd folk from the bogs, townies, rockers, and maybe a few fellas barred from all the other pubs in town, and then mixed in is usually a load of English tourists, and surprisingly it works! Everyone's having the craic, these bog critters are friendly and are trying to wind me up, we'll all supping our drinks and enjoying the music, the tourists are dancing away, and usually it's a great night, and everyone's good and drunk by the end of the night and I mean drunk. Sometimes the music is hit-or-miss, sometimes it's a bit of jam session, other times it's quite good. On quite nights there may not be many musicians there and the owner get's up and play. And both him and the missus are decent friendly folk. I just wish they poured a better Guinness or had a nice Heff-Weisse. ;)

Overall fancy hotel & bar but were asked to leave dinner and go sit at the bar when we were done which seemed rude. The pool closed at 7:15 pm and then at 5:45 pm on our second night. The beds were comfortable. Amenities included wash clothes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, fan, full-length mirror, large TV, and bottled water. The shower pressure sucked but the water gets hot. Our toilet seat was broken which should have been caught by housekeeping. Overall nice place & we would stay here again.

The hotel is not directly on the seafront and it's probably about a 12-minute walk into town. The lobby is minimally decorated but very clean and all the staff are genuinely polite, quick and eager to please. The rooms are a dream -- very very large, great balconies with views of the sea, spacious bathrooms with excellent water pressure and big comfortable beds. Free wifi, free parking and complimentary "continental" breakfast. "Continental" in the most self-effacing sense, this breakfast actually includes an impressive spread of cold cuts, yogurts, cereals, boiled eggs, scones, croissants, tea, coffee, juice.
