Last fall we went to a different dentist. My exam with new dentist uncovered no issues. But my husband had 4 cavities, one of which required referral to an oral surgeon for extraction. After the head doctor came in after about 45 minutes of waiting, he explained he can't do nothing for me and then sent me off with a referral and as they were sending me out I asked about when they were doing the cleaning to which the dr argued with me that I didnt mention I wanted that... please at all costs avoid this place. I tried several and was very disappointed for various reasons, including dirty offices, a lack of bedside manners, and long waits to schedule appointments. However, I had a great experience at my new dentist's office today. Dr. Chitra Nagaraj, BDS, DMD (2228 South Street, Leesburg, FL 34748, phone: 352-431-3570), is a graduate of Rutgers University. My appointment was scheduled for 9:15 a.m., and I arrived at 9:00 a.m. Immediately, I was greeted by a kind staff member who escorted me to the dental chair and proceeded with the X-rays. I explained that I had difficulty holding the X-rays in my mouth, and she was very considerate, ensuring I was comfortable. Her patience and care truly eased my anxiety, especially since I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years. After the X-rays were completed, Dr. Nagaraj entered the room for a thorough examination. She explained that I had a cracked filling and a small, raised bump in my mouth and detailed the steps I needed to correct these issues. I was particularly impressed by a few things: the office was immaculate, and Dr. Nagaraj cleaned my teeth instead of having a hygienist do it. If you choose to use Dr. Nagaraj's practice, please let her know that I referred her.
