I simply went through this course to lower my insurance rates and boy oh boy was it worth it. This course is a two course 3 hours per session and you get a lot of good information about driving and the proper way. read more

I was able to pass my test today, due to the instructor taking the time to work with me. I am Polish and I have a heavy accent and there is a significant language barrier. This school was AMAZING! My instructor Stephanie really took the time to make the 20 hours worth my time. I not only learned a lot about low and high risk choices but also techniques to overcome different situations. The information was all based on researches that literally blew my mind off. I now feel transformed and ready to live a healthy life and make good decisions. I would recommend her learning center to ANYONE! Stephanie was extremely helpful during class and her office was easy to find. Her personality is fun and upbeat so class wasn't boring and didn't drag on, plus I learned a few cool things. Overall great experience. read more

Specialties

Allied Learning Center offers Risk Reduction/DUI, Defensive Driving Programs, and 30-hour Driver's Education. For each program, we offer several arrangements of the required sessions to minimize the impact timewise on participants' lives. For instance, we have weekday, weeknight, and weekend class schedules, and all of them are offered remotely and in person. We have Behind-the-Wheel Driver Training with top-rated instructors, ones that don't yell in the car, but rather calmly instruct, coach, and encourage new drivers. We have worked with students of all ages, some with serious anxiety issues, some with learning disabilities. We are building our team with instructors that speak other languages to meet the needs of a multi-lingual community. We work around the student's school, work, and family schedules, and we'll come to you if you are in our service area. We can help students pass the driving test with confidence. Even more importantly, our objective is to help students to be safe and competent drivers. We also do driving assessments for drivers of all ages, and have partnered with doctors, occupational therapists, and judges as well as the individual's family to help drivers be safe drivers. We really care about our clients' outcomes.

History

Established in 2014.

When Allied first opened in 2014, it was a one-person operation providing DUI/Risk Reduction Programming and defensive driving classes. Within four years, the team grew to two and grew dramatically in the number of classes offered. In 2020, the program offerings expanded to include behind-the-wheel driving instruction with top-rated instructors and cars that have extra brake and gas pedals. In 2023, the 30-hour Driver's Education program was added. In 2024, our first bi-lingual instructor joined our team. We have also added a program that up to this point has been met by a provider that comes from the other side of the state. We now do assessments for drivers of all ages in cooperation with medical and legal professionals.

Meet the Business Owner: Eileen B.

Eileen Boyd has degree in Teacher Education and has been in the prevention field since 2003. She is certified as a DUI/Risk Reduction Instructor by Prevention Research Institute and DDS. Georgia Department of Driver Services has also certified Eileen as a driver's test examiner and an instructor for defensive driving, driver's education, and behind-the-wheel driver training.

I was looking for a school that was sort of hidden because I really didn't want to run into anyone I knew! It was a little hard to find if you don't know the area but once I got inside it was super cozy! I met the receptionist and she got me all the paperwork I needed. I was super happy that they took cards, I was worried about that 'cause I never carry cash. Anyway the owner, Stephanie, was also there and she was super chill. She answered my questions without making me feel like a total loser. I didn't feel judged or looked down on like I had at other schools (this was my second DUI granted but I'm still a person!) So I appreciated the atmosphere. Anyway hopefully I don't have to attended another DUI class but if I do I'll come back to ALC. read more

If you are court ordered or not take this course! You get so much useful information without being bored to death. I asked questions and got answers. I gained a lot of good information without being bombarded with data. We learned about new laws and what's expected of new drivers. The whole team were friendly, helpful, and informative.
