Thought I'd give a recent review…read more I'm a guy who's dealt with chronic pain during the past 15 years of active duty service. As you can imagine from moving every two to three years, I'm forced to start from scratch at a new pain management clinic all the time and let me tell you, it's a hassle. That wasn't case when I first visited this office. Dr. Shadid and his staff were great. I never felt rushed during our conversations and more so, I never felt judged. Yeah, a lot of pain management and regular providers tend to quickly assume their patents have the worst of intentions. I get it. A lot of people visit these clinics for the wrong reasons. I am, however, not one of them. I've had a couple of procedures so far and I'll continue to see him for future procedures. The injections and blocks have been fairly pain and stress free. That's the key. Not only less pain when trying to actually treat pain, but little to no stress. When you're getting an injection or having any procedure for pain management that causes you more pain during the process, your stress levels increase exponentially. Again, I don't dread visiting Dr. Shadid and his team because it's a very pleasant experience. The office building seems out of place and at first glance and the facade has you questioning if you want to step inside the building. Worry not. It is a clean, professional, and relaxing environment. Don't get scared off when you're looking at the front of the building. The front receptionists are great and pleasant, the RNs/techs are proficient, and Dr. Shadid is well-versed. The only reason I didn't give it a complete 5-star is the fact that the facade looks a bit sketch and they the website could use a serious upgrade - it doesn't represent their professionalism. However, that's minutia compared to the service you get.

The young man who brought me into the exam room, did VS and recorded my current med list was delightful. He was very kind, professional and had a great sense of humor. The woman who brought me from the room to the exit door to show me how to access the lab was very kind and professional. The lab staff were pleasant, welcoming and very kind. I received a call in less than 24 hours from Karen in the lab reviewing the results with me. I really appreciate the excellent customer service and the kindness that was shown to me. As for Dr. Sanner, he spent about 30 minutes with me, reviewing my history, meds and any concerns that I might have. He was very collaborative when we discussed my personal health care and I felt heard and my opinion and knowledge were valued. As a new resident to this part of the country, I am relieved to have met this wonderful team and look forward to working together fo a very long time.

The way he worded his questions and kept talking about medicines to try instead, I told him I'm set on this I don't want to try anymore medications. He plainly said he would not do it, so I said F you I'm leaving. I was so upset I cried in my car. I am an extremely kind person to note everyone but him in his office was kind. Just had my first appointment of the year last week. First time ever via tele-health with Dr. Aiku. I like the fact that they are so accommodating and make every attempt to answer your questions with understandable answers. When I called for an appointment, the office asked what meds I am taking and I told them HRT, nothing else I am healthy. The office said that they would check with the doctor and get back to me about an appointment (confusing, but I guess it is the Oklahoma way to do things) Well the office got back to me to say that the doctor would not take me on as a patient because of the medications I'm taking! I never asked for a medicine refill, (I don't need one) I've never used a primary doctor in place of an OB doctor. I explained to the woman on the phone that I already have an OBGYN doctor and that I need a Primary Care Physician and nope, they didn't seem to care. Is his refusal even legal?
