I like the fact that they are so accommodating and make every attempt to answer your questions with understandable answers. My grandchildren used to see her before they moved to Texas and were well taken care of by her and the staff. I couldn't ask for a better professional doctor!

This was my first time in 15 years Id been to a doctor so I was pretty nervous. He listened to everything I had to say, asked questions pertinent to what I was going through and my symptoms I was describing. I think he saw I was nervous so we spoke about the Foo Fighters shirt I was wearing to take my mind off being in a hospital. It worked. As far as the correct prescriptions, it's still too early to tell aside from the acid reflux medicine. All in all, pretty much everything I could ask for in a doctors visit minus one thing. I went in for a hearing test today for a job screening for a job at airport and was told my ears were compacted and that my eardrums were barely visible. I'm hoping that didn't affect the outcome of my screening causing me to fail the hearing exam. Anyway, the nurse who checked my ears at the Atkinson office didn't mention it(I'm not even sure if that's a part of her job, it may not be, I could just be being nit picky. She could have been checking my temperature.) It would have been nice to get those things cleared out before my screening. If you are looking for a friendly doctor who truly seems to care about his patients, this is your guy! I highly recommend him!

We had an initial appointment and his physical exam of them consisted of him talking to them for a few minutes and tickling my child's tummy. Even after my daughter complained to him about a sore throat, he did not look in at it. What Dr. Atkinson did not know was that I am a registered nurse and my husband is a MD. We both have a lot of medical experience and felt his care was borderline fraud for the care given. We feel bad for the people who do not know that this care is sub-par and go to him not knowing that there is better care. His nursing staff was also on the rude side. Thought I'd give a recent review…read more I'm a guy who's dealt with chronic pain during the past 15 years of active duty service. As you can imagine from moving every two to three years, I'm forced to start from scratch at a new pain management clinic all the time and let me tell you, it's a hassle. That wasn't case when I first visited this office. Dr. Shadid and his staff were great. I never felt rushed during our conversations and more so, I never felt judged. Yeah, a lot of pain management and regular providers tend to quickly assume their patents have the worst of intentions. I get it. A lot of people visit these clinics for the wrong reasons. I am, however, not one of them. I've had a couple of procedures so far and I'll continue to see him for future procedures. The injections and blocks have been fairly pain and stress free. That's the key. Not only less pain when trying to actually treat pain, but little to no stress. When you're getting an injection or having any procedure for pain management that causes you more pain during the process, your stress levels increase exponentially. Again, I don't dread visiting Dr. Shadid and his team because it's a very pleasant experience. The office building seems out of place and at first glance and the facade has you questioning if you want to step inside the building. Worry not. It is a clean, professional, and relaxing environment. Don't get scared off when you're looking at the front of the building. The front receptionists are great and pleasant, the RNs/techs are proficient, and Dr. Shadid is well-versed. The only reason I didn't give it a complete 5-star is the fact that the facade looks a bit sketch and they the website could use a serious upgrade - it doesn't represent their professionalism. However, that's minutia compared to the service you get.

From the moment he walked in the room I knew he didn't want to do it. The way he worded his questions and kept talking about medicines to try instead, I told him I'm set on this I don't want to try anymore medications. He plainly said he would not do it, so I said F you I'm leaving. I was so upset I cried in my car. I am an extremely kind person to note everyone but him in his office was kind. I'm still fuming, I don't write reviews but I read the reviews for this doctor ands they seemed ok for the most part but were far wrong. Don't go to this doctor if you don't have children or want them because he is an old white man who thinks he knows what's best for our bodies.
