I was told they needed a helper tech only, to assist another HP Tech, to lift a server into the rack, I knew better but took it anyway. being a former EAA member just wanted to help them out, as they said, well Latif said, if the job duties change or it turns into more than 2 hours the rate will be increased. I get there no other HP tech, he showed up an hour later, he had mis- poor information also, like location, POC, start time. His first words were no he was not the Senior Tech assigned to he case and I was not helping him, he was to be the helper tech, and I was to be the Senior Tech on this assignment. We were there, Assisting the client the Experiment Aircraft Association, specifically their Engineer, Jeff the POC from the EAA, and myself over 4 hours, I was there at 10 AM, Jeff said oh they now changed it to 11 AM didn't they tell you, no they did not, I became the Level III Engineer, the other HP tech left after being there an hour or less, as he was just the, "lifting helper tech", first thing he said to me, was "No he was not the Primary nor Senior tech, he was their to be the helper, and he was specifically told, I was the Senior HP Tech" ie., the one doing the Support side work locally as far as setting the static IP's, setting the ILO address, enabling it, and or setting it to a known good password, or changing it from whatever it was, or resetting everything back to defaults then, for remote support to eventually remote into this new server. We were easily on and off the phone 2 plus hours alone, and the clock started at 10 AM so that alone is 3 hours, and a minimum of 45 min. to get to a support engineer on their end, and during the process we emailed, we sent pictures to HP support, to Frank Luna their project manager from HP, sent him specifically emails, and left phone messages, those are all time stamped, how in what universe with those being the facts, how can this possibly be "denied"? I was on the phone after initially checking out, for over an hour, trying to get them to acknowledge, what was done, who we spoke with, the difficulty we had trying to reach the project manager from HP, and now no one not one person in the entire company was available to approve my time, and or change the job title from grunt helper lifting tech, to Network Engineer III, NO ONE not one person, nor did they call me back as promised in an email, that I requested. Still waiting it has been 3 weeks now and I get this email. " DENIED. " Now 3 weeks later I get this. They're terrible communicators. They will call you at 1:00 in the morning two in the morning 3:00 in the morning 4 in the morning and relentlessly harangue.
