I bought a new speed queen washer to replace our 9 year old GE. The GE"s parts were unavailable. Speed Queen is designed to last 25 yesrs. We.love the washer. I am VERY PISSED ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE WITH SPEED QUEEN. I BOUGHT A WASHER AND DRYER SET THAT WAS DELIVERED ON MEMORIAL DAY AND EARLY AUGUST THE DRYER QUIT AUGUST! That is bad enough but dealing with your customer service people has been a nightmare. They are rude and uncaring. They do not seem to appreciate the frustration this causes. Their response is we have to follow the process. They are not able to provide any information. The repair service told me to call to get things expedited. I called your customer service and they told me they don't have control of that. They are not able to do that even though the part is coming from YOU! I just hung up with you "customer service" and she actual said to me that she is helping me but I don't like what she's telling me so items my problem. I have had numerous calls over the past week and everyone of them has been a bad experience. You need to train your people. They really don't seem to give a crap about customers or satisfaction. I just googled speed queen and it is a running theme in the reviews. You guys charge a ton for your machines. You should invest in polite helpful customer service reps. Our sales rep Rob has been great. The service department out of the Batavia, New York office could definitely be more responsive though. We put in all new Speed Queen equipment, and had some issues in the beginning. Thankfully, Rob was able to resolve them for us. So far, we've been good since then. read more

Extremely Disappointed - Ongoing Service Failures from Alliance Laundry Systems / Speed Queen I rarely leave reviews, but the experience I've had with Alliance Laundry Systems (the service provider for my Speed Queen washer) has been beyond frustrating and unacceptable. I first reached out on Feb 26, 2025, about a clicking noise from my Speed Queen SCT060 washer (bought less than 2 years ago). After calling 925-432-0323 several times, I finally got through to customer service. They promised a dispatcher would contact me to schedule a repair. No one ever called. Since then, the washer has deteriorated further--it now stops mid-cycle and locks, making it unusable and trapping clothes inside. I called again on March 17, Mar 26, and was told each time that a technician would come out within days. I even received a firm appointment for Mar 28--but no one showed up. Again. Then on Mar 31, I was told there had been a "computer issue" and my request was never dispatched. Another appointment was set for Apr 2, and when no one arrived by 3:20 PM, I called once more and was promised a tech would still come. Guess what? No one showed up again. This has been over a month of broken promises, wasted time, and no accountability. As a small business owner, every missed appointment has cost me time and money. I don't understand how a company associated with a respected brand like Speed Queen can operate with such poor follow-through and communication. I filed a warranty claim with the manufacturer and they recommended Affordable Appliance Repair. The technician who arrived at my home was professional. However, he wrote the warranty claim in an inaccurate manner. I reached out to Affordable Appliance Repair for clarification and they refuse to answer their phones. If you want a better quality product, BUY A DEXTER. Dexter is a US manufacturer in Iowa. I applied for a Job at Alliance Laundry Systems and even did a phone interview. I applied for plant maintenance and another technical position and with more than 30 years of electro-mechanical experience, I got auto-rejected. They do't know their donkey from a hole in the ground. This company bought speed queen and has run its products into the ground. They advertised a job since March an it is now July, and the jobs they advertise appear to be fraudulent. I ordered a whole bunch of dryer elements as I have a dryer out and multiple of the same dryer as I use them in my multi-family rental properties so I wanted to not only stock up but also get the part to have the one dryer repaired. Five days later and after not receiving a response VIA e-mail I called their customer service and talked to Jeff, who was nice enough, but stated the elements aren't in stock and won't be for a full month. The issue with this is I have tenants who want to do their laundry and can't. Why wouldn't they tell me the parts aren't in stock? Why would they even sell them to me in the first place if they're not in stock? I'm trying to run a business and they're making me look unprofessional due to their incompetency. DO NOT BUY SPEED QUEEN!! I was told by many people that they were the best. I saved up the money and bought the TR7 washer & dryer in February 2025. I have had so many issues since then. 1st one started when I opened the machine. Water stains & 8-9 small spots of what looked like rust. I contacted them and their technician said "it was just surface rust caused by minerals in the water at the testing facility". 2nd one was on the machine it says commercial heavy duty. Not at all! The washer is not cleaning out dirt, sand or poop, even after multiple wash cycles. There are 2 piles of sand, dirt & debris buildup in my dryer vent and its only been 10 months. The washer is not cleaning the clothes properly. I have contacted Speed Queen multiple times and they will only refer you to the distributor. Our distributor has sent two different repair companies out and they both say the same thing, "it's a gentle wash and there is nothing they can do". The machine is called a perfect wash. Speed Queen's website is misleading and false advertisement. There have been 2 warranty repairs already, the board & the lid lock. I am beyond frustrated with Speed Queen's customer service because they will not stand behind their product. read more

I purchased a Speed Queen in summer of 2022 based on a recommendation from a friend. I'm a single guy who does about one load of laundry per week so very light use. During the summer of 2025 I started hearing random beeping (at first very rare but slowly increasing over months). Eventually I realized that it was my Speed Queen washer beeping. I purchased the TR3 model that comes with a 3 year warranty. Unfortunately, even though the washer had a faulty part (user interface control) and even though it had gone faulty within the warranty period they still refused to cover the cost of repair and parts because I didn't reach out inside the 3 year warranty window. I asked to speak with a superior by email and they have now ghosted me. The company that responded for Speed Queen was Alliance Laundry Systems. I highly recommend never doing business with ALS as their customer service is horrible and they do not stand behind their products. I paid over $1,200 for the washer. read more

I bought a set of Speed Queen front load washer and dryer in 2017. I still own them. They have been fine overall. I bought another set of Speed Queen front load washer dryer in 2020 and this time it's not so good especially the dryer. Compared to my previous set I can feel the newer set is not as sturdy yet more expensive. More importantly, I spilled some Simple Green all purpose cleaner on top of the dryer. After the spill dried it became un-removable ! I was like what !? The top surface is made of metal in white finish. This finish should have been treated with high quality white finish baked under extremely high temperature like car finish. See pictures for yourself. Both sets cost me a fortunate. We purchased this system thinking it was the best top of the line machine we could get. It has been the absolute worst. It took running the machine twice per load to get the clothes dry. We cleaned out the lent trap, the duct in the back and maintained this system as it states in the owners manual. The electrical components burnt up and this machine could have burnt my house down with my child home. No where in the owners manual does it state that we need to take the machine apart exposing underneath the drum to clean it. No I am told that we are up a creek without a paddle. Waste of $1,500. I have the Speed Queen commercial washer and dryer at home. Both machines are still under warranty but I have not been able to get the washer fixed, and the dryer has been labeled "defective appliance" by our power company, PG& E because it was leaking gas. In the meantime the company that promises "first class service" on its website has been dismal. We asked for a refund or replacement, and they have been dragging their feet on the refund, often not responding to emails to the customer service supervisor for weeks. The washer would start, then stop. 4 service calls beginning summer 2022 still did not resolve the issue, so months long wait for a part with no update on why or when. The machine occasionally will start if it is unplugged, plugged in several times, but leaks water into the tub at night, and makes this howling noise when it spins. It's in a separate laundry room in the house and can be heard all over the house, including upstairs. It cannot be used if anyone wants to have a conversation or watch TV. The dryer leaked gas after a little a year of service. The washer was still about 7 months out on the end of its warranty. Still waiting... read more

"Buy it for life". Not even close. I purchased a brand new TC5 washer and the dryer of the same series. Within 2 months the washer started making a grinding noise. We reached out to support and they sent out a repair guy who replaced the water pump with a used pump. He was there 6 hours and needed my help to take out a bolt. They sent out another tech who replaced a belt. It took him less time, but I still had to take time off work to be there. That didn't work. Then they sent out a different vendor to diagnose. He came and left, and a week later told me they decided to continue to fix the washer. They ordered the transmission and a bunch of other parts for this "major repair". It'll be another week at least before we get this brand new "buy it for life" model repaired. We had better luck with our LG models and at this point we're disappointed we bought this lemon. The absolute worse nightmare dealing with this company. I purchased a new speed Queen washer 10/19. 11/20 the machine broke- 8 weeks later the machine worked. May 8 2021- broken again. Back and forth with the servicer and Alliance tech support : tech support says needs a part. The part is ordered and the servicer returns a week later. New part doesn't work, tech says you need to order this part. Part ordered, servicer returns a week later. Part does NOT work, tech says order this part. I have been without a machine for over 5 weeks this time. Last week I finally got the email of a customer service rep. T he one I spoke with the day before never sent her contact info she said she would do right away. The rep said she would send the information to a manager. I asked for a contact phone number and she could not give me one. She assured me that email was the best way to communicate that way everyone, including the manager would see it. I have a Speed Queen washer for just 10 years now. Had to replace the transmission belt which was not big deal. However, upong removing the front cover, I saw oil (dried) that had leaked from the transmission. I was told by customer service they would send a transmission to a appliance tech and I would pay for labor. OK. Since that time nothing has happened and SQ is unresponsive, hasn't contacted the applicance tech, and now I see the true SQ company for what it is. SQ "Made in America" doesn't mean anything. This manufacturer has gone off the rails. They refuse to support their products in certain areas of the country; their replacement part's prices are exorbitant if they can get the parts at all; they have no online or phone support; and they recently cancelled orders of end user customers that were waiting for four months for parts while their machines sat unusable. Then, out of the blue, they cancelled these customer's orders, causing them to have to reorder and go to the back of the line, possibly with another four month wait. Steer clear of the Alliance Laundry brand which includes Unimac, Speedqueen, Huebsch, Primus, Ipso, and Cissel. Bought a washer a year and a half ago. At the 6th month mark noticed soap suds coming out of the stand pipe. The appliance store replaced all that they could and said they did all they could. Said they couldn't exchange or refund that I had to contact speed queen. Did that several times along with pictures Ms videos. Their response time is horrible and I was sent 2x a copy paste to use vinegar because there was a soap build up! I know there isn't but did has they suggested anyways. After that was done the very next wash soap suds billowing out. Let them know and no response. Filed complaint with the BBB and they said they would reopen the case(that was never closed). A month went by and no contact with me. Called the BBB and the sent along an email to them. Just got a response..... use vinegar! This is just outrageous. I was told no refund or exchange.
