I had an outstanding experience with Chris Stubbs from Thomas Service Co.. From the moment he…read morearrived, Chris was extremely professional, His expertise and attention to detail made the entire experience stress-free. I especially appreciated the extra care he showed--he even wore shoe bootie covers, which speaks volumes about his respect for my home. It's not often you come across a technician who is not only highly skilled but also genuinely cares about providing excellent customer service. Chris definitely deserves 6 stars extra one for the shoe covers and getting my unit FIX! He represents Thomas Service Co. very well. If you're lucky enough to have him as your technician, you're in great hands. I highly recommend him and the company for anyone needing HVAC or plumbing service.

First off, I'll start with the positives. The office staff is professional, friendly, and timely. I…read morewould give them 5 stars. The service manager(s), I've talked to two, are pretty reasonable and friendly as well albeit not extremely helpful in resolving issues. Let me explain. Had a new heat unit installed by Thomas in April 2023. Shortly after, within a couple months, my condensate drain line clogged. Took 3 different trips out to get leak resolved, eventually just using my old drain line. No charge to me due to it being within first year of warranty. I'll fast forward to August 2024, as there were no major issues (that I recall) between that time period. August 2024 my unit is not cooling properly and they diagnose it as a leaking flare nut on the air handler. I'm charged for this repair(more to come on this). In March 2025, my thermostat quits working, less than two years after install. I'm quoted a couple hundred dollars to replace a very basic thermostat, the same one that quit working less than two years after install. I asked about upgrading to ecobee and was charged about 3 times more....nearly $1000. I went ahead with the upgrade(shame on me) as I didn't know the price or complexity of installation at time of purchase. After install, unit was not cooling and I told tech before they left. Technician was unprofessional and said it was working. The Dt was 1 degree. Later that day have to call to have another tech come out. That tech did get it resolved in about 15 minutes by "changing some settings". After this i contacted the service manager about the issues I had had recently and how the flare nut sounds like an installation issues and I wasn't happy on the pricing on the thermostat. He agreed about the flare nut and refunded me the full cost of that work and a couple hundred dollars on the thermostat. At this point, I don't really trust the techs but their service managers had been reasonable. June/july 2025 my unit quits working again. I call out another company and they identify that the circuit board is bad and replace it. Following that the Dt is still bad and they perform a leak check and find evaporator coil is leaking. Part is 3 months out. I contact Thomas to get a second opinion and tell them what the first company found. Thomas says the issue is the flare nut(supposedly repaired a few months prior) is the issue and specifically stated that they leak checked the indoor coil and found no leaks. Funny enough, they were going to charge almost 4 times as much as the previous repair less than a year prior. I get a third opinion due to differing opinions and they tell me it is an evaporator coil leak, as well. At this point, I get the part ordered,3 month lead time. Contact thomas about 3 weeks after they came out, mainly because they have a part and labor warranty on previous work if its within a year and it was. Thought getting refrigerant added couldn't hurt as I knew my unit had an active leak. Dt before they arrived was 17 degrees in my home and had been that for 3+ weeks. Within 4 days of them leaving was 3 degrees. Call them back out. Same technician comes out and this time identifies the evaporator coil is leaking. Not surprised but is ironic that the same technician comes who said there wasn't now says there is. Now after they left, my fan runs even when my unit is off. I have not contacted them about this because every time they leave it seems like my unit is in even worse condition. All in all, I would highly recommend not using them as their technicians appear to be able to diagnose and repair and their install and products used don't appear to be great either.
