I was recruited out of Elyria, Ohio, 1 indication that something was wrong should have been the high turn over. Not a single person in the department had been there over a year for a company that claims to have been in business for 20 plus years. My 1st week I was in a car accident that was held against me even though I can prove I was in an accident. Some how it was my fault that i was run off the road by a bad driver. The second sign should have been how bad they speak of other employees behind closed doors. They called sales men lazy and made comments about the "religious cult" That a majority of the staff are part of. I was warned that because I was not part of the Plymouth Brethren I would never be promoted or treated as an equal to the woman and men that were. The owner is apart of this Religious group I was ignored by the people that are part of the "religious Cult". This is what the Corporate Controller and Finance Senior supervisor called them. The next red flag should have been when I was hired I told them I was required to have a single specific day off, they were aware of the day when I started and seemed fine with it but then changed their minds after the fact. It is amazing that they threw a fit about scheduled day off when at no notice the controller left for a week unscheduled because her daughter had a baby.I was never trained on any system just sat in front of a computer and was told have at it. They lied about the state of their Receivables. I was told it needed a little help, not that they have not collected on things going as far back as 2016 with no policy or procedure in place to handle such situations. Penny Warner is just under the owner on the Finance food chain and she shared an employee complaint with me regarding an issue he was having with his manager. She also made fun of the employee for his complaint and questions. Called him a Complainer and did nothing to fix the situation. I was terminated for Performance and Attendance but I still can't figure out why. The attendance is them firing me for a car accident that was out of my control and the performance was I think because i questioned the legality of their tax filing for IFTA. they did not file for the end of 2019 and when i questioned how they were doing things I was shut down. I questioned the qualifications of the person handling the Logs and DOT compliance. They are not following FMCSA laws and regulations but again when i questioned it I was shut down and terminated. I did everything I was asked to do and more. I fully intend to report them to the DOT, FMCSA, Puco and the Labor board for the treatment I received at this company. I have never been fired and have never left a job on bad terms. I have stellar references and letters of recommendation from previous employers and customers. If you value for self and your integrity do not work for this company. read more
