Imagine my delight and surprise when I was able to get a next day appointment with their new provider Dr. Eghrari-Sabet. Dr. Eghari-Sabet was absolutely fantastic to work with. She asked the right questions, had a great beside manner, and was very proactive with all of the follow up appointments and protocol. I could tell from the get-go that she was passionate about her work and great at what she does. All of the information went right into the our portal which made our conversation easy to track. Our nurse Hannah was also great with making sure that all of our school forms were filled out correctly and quickly. It's great to see this office grow and expand their services to new patients. I've been having a good experience so far with my allergy shots here. I first did the skin test a…read morewhile back and since I have a lot of environmental allergies, Dr. Hamad said I'd be a good candidate for shots. I also suggested it to the doctor myself to get relief from seasonal and indoor issues, and it was recommended to do the cluster schedule for quicker relief. I forget exactly what it has been so far but I think the first four shots were 1.5 hours (you get a set every half hour, they check BP and injection site reactions, and then the next 8 sets are 1 hour each). You can go in 3 times a week every other day. They also offer to spray the injection site afterwards to reduce the itch. Eventually I'll be in maintenance soon where it'll be biweekly for half hour. I don't remember the initial fee for it but my copay each time is fairly low so it's affordable, although it's quite the time commitment. The only reason I subtracted a star is last week there was a system outage where some people had to be turned away as they didn't have those folks as paper record backups to still perform/administer the shots (luckily they had mine as a paper record so I could still get my shots). I also wish there were more early morning appointments before work but the earliest is Thurs/Fri beginning around 7am, and those office hours will slightly change starting January 2025. What is convenient is once you're an established patient, you can schedule your own appointments and pay bills online. The online scheduling is actually pretty important to me and definitely something I'd be looking for in a medical practice as many times I've called the front desk to not have the phone answered or call back until days later (not Allergy Partners, they're responsive, but other doctor offices), so this process cuts out waiting. From the beginning, no one clearly explained potential charges. There seems to be zero consistency in communication between staff and the doctor. I was told after the fact that I would be charged for services they assumed I "should have known" about even though no one ever mentioned them beforehand. I paid to have my 11-year-old son's serum overnight shipped, which was already an added expense. After that, there was no follow-up or confirmation that it was received. Instead, it was somehow sent back to another Allergy Partners location, and I had to go through the process of shipping it again. On top of that, I submitted school forms that were extremely important only to be told they were shredded. I had to go back to the school, get everything redone, and resubmit the paperwork. Then, unexpectedly, I was told I would be charged for the forms as well, which was never communicated upfront. This entire experience has been disorganized, stressful, and especially disappointing when you're dealing with a child's healthcare. Clear communication, basic organization, and empathy should be the standard and unfortunately, that has not been my experience here.

When I asked the cost for each allergy test prick, I was floored when she could actually tell me the cost - $12 a prick or $600 for all 75 pricks. I can't tell you how many times I've walked into a doctor's office and no one knew the cost of procedures or the CPT codes for the procedure. I couldn't believe it when Dr. Rosenthal spent around 30 minutes with me, in an era when most doctors are limited to 10 minutes per patient. He asked me about my allergy history and tailored his plan to what I said. When I said I didn't want to do allergy shots, he was willing to try an alternative to see if that would treat my problems. When I said I didn't want to pay $600 for all 75 allergy tests, he decided to limit the allergy tests to the ones with the most actionable plan for prevention. On top of all that, Dr. Rosenthal is older, so he's got a wealth of knowledge from first hand experience with patients. For example, he had heard of my very crazy MSG allergy and took the time to teach me how MSG affects the nervous system. He knows which allergy medicines tend to work better for most patients. Even with cutback hours, its pretty easy to get in on time and these injections are really necessary if you have a high risk condition such as asthma. Dr. Nsouli is a very kind, caring person, who comes across as someone who knows what he's doing without coming off as arrogant. I've had severe allergies all my life, and Dr. Nsouli is the fourth one I've seen over the past twenty years. He's definitely been one of the top two, mostly because he realized that one reason why I have trouble staying awake (something I thought was completely irrelevant but he asked about it anyway) was because the allergy medication I was currently taking made me sleepy. No other doctor I've seen ever made this connection. When you have to get refills on your allergy serum, you always meet up with a nurse practitioner, not Dr. Nsouli himself. I imagine this is standard protocol, since the good Dr.'s time is valuable and you're not going because of a problem, you just need a refill on meds.

This is unusual because when I made the initial appointment, it was cleared with one of the doctors, but now all of a sudden I'm told it can't be done without an additional appointment. I can't speak to the quality of the care, but the front office, the physicians, the nurses, one or all of them need to spend less time worrying about insurance numbers and more time worrying about the communication in their office.

As someone in their 30s, it was beyond frustrating to have such a poor quality of life. She was the only doctor who didn't give up on me. She approached my case holistically, constantly working to find alternative treatments and never once treating me as just another patient.
