She told me that one blond nurse accidentally hung the wrong IV fluid for all four patients receiving treatment. One patient had already completed the infusion, while the other three were only halfway through. Another nurse noticed the mistake and immediately replaced the IV bags. My cousin overheard the nurses saying that the fluid was dextrose and that it was incompatible with the medication the patients were receiving. She said the incident terrified her and left her fearing for her safety throughout the rest of her treatment.

The amount of stress I was under not being treated properly was ridiculous. Doctors didn't listen and if they did they ignored me. My situation is very complicated. I remember on my second visit Dr Croasdale said to me "help me to help you." and I remember thinking 'This is a doctor I need in my life." I don't know how I would have made it through the last 5 years not under his care. My life would seriously suck. Besides the fact that I get awesome medical care, Dr Croasdale has a wicked sense of humor. He always makes me laugh. I've never left his office feeling negative and I've been there at least 40 times. Pretty remarkable never to have had a negative experience with a doctor that you've seen for years. His staff is great. Office is always clean. Yes there is a wait, usually 30+ minutes. But it's rare not to be able to get an appointment within a week. I'd rather wait 30 minutes than have to wait a couple weeks or longer to schedule an appointment. As a side note I moved to Nevada almost 3 years ago and I travel every month or two for my appointments. I've been to a few Nevada doctors but I don't get the level of care as I do with Dr Croasdale. So I drive the 7 hours. It's worth it.

Yesterday I went with my dad to Kaiser Manteca with concerns he had broken/fractured his arm. We…read morewent for a walk in the early morning. He had tripped over an uneven sidewalk curb and fell on the concrete. He was experiencing pain & swelling in his arm/elbow area. We checked in to this facility around 3 PM and didn't leave until 10 PM. Standard care for most emergency care in this area. The office check in for the most part was friendly, simple use, and they did offer masks to patients. However, it was the actual emergency care towards the evening when things started to take a turn for the worst. Around 6:30 pm my dad went for xrays of his shoulder,arms, legs,feet. It took a while to receive results but I understand this took time. Then he received news he had broken his elbow. He needed a temporary cast and to be given pain medication. They also needed to take his vitals before he was dismissed. He wanted me with him so I wasn't in the waiting room alone. I immediately noticed many nurses not wearing masks. I wasn't sure the protocols I just thought this was very strange, in an emergency setting with many sick patients around us. The nurse /assistant continued to take my dad's blood pressure after not disinfecting the blood pressure cuff after the person before him. The seat, bp equipment etc was not disinfected. Nonetheless, vitals were taken and he had extremely high blood pressure. He was in a hypertensive crisis. Yes,he does have a history of high blood pressure but this was dangerously high. I shared this with the medical professional and she said that's fine it's probably because of his injury. I aksed the nurse/assistant about the AHA categories of his bp and she stated bp of 195 systolic was "not a hypertensive crisis yet."I showed her the AHA chart of blood pressure categories and the extent of severity his bp was in. Anything above 180 systolic is considered a hypertensive crisis. I said I think he should rest and have his vitals taken again. Plus, it's been hours since he has a dose of his medication. She seemed annoyed- along with another doctor that chimed in and initially wanted me to leave my dad's side because "the ER room is crowed- theres not enough space you need to leave." But I insisted to stay. And yes, both doctors we initially unaware he had a history of high bp even though his chart was in front of them. I was a bit frustrated. I get the ER is a rush- but they had his medical history in feont of them. I had to tell them when we discussed his extremely high bp. Nonetheless,They listened and waited then took his bp. It did drop slightly- they gave him prescription medicine and pain medicine. But I was highly in shock at the lowered standard of care. As a hypertensive patient already- he needs special care. In a crisis, seeing the dismissal of care & the lack of proper disinfection in the ER during a measles and bird flu outbreak...i was in shock. And yes my dad did give me verbal permission/consent to share his story. Again, I was completely horrified as I have been impressed with this location in taking care of me before. Last night- I left hyperventilating over the lack of care he received and realized the severity that could have conspired if I was not there and something worse may have happened. My father even shared with me today over his blood pressure saying " I didn't realize I was in the red." Meaning a hypertensive crisis. Its important to have a understanding of the basic foundation of care and even in trained and emergency care always pay attention to patients- their medical history, symptoms, etc because it all makes a difference.

Lobby wasn't full of patients waiting and quite empty. Called Kaiser to check Modesto before driving that way for the next urgent care. I was informed that all Kaiser urgent cares stop taking patients 3 hours before their closing time. I may be crazy but feel that they should definitely have that posted or change the hours listed so people aren't driving around wasting time while someone needs care. Last straw with Kaiser! I'll pay the extra premium for Sutter

No one wants to suffer that long feeling sick. So I decided to give this place a try. It's in a seedy part of downtown so I was nervous but truly the quality of the medical staff here is top tier! I was in and out no issues and they took my insurance. If ever I need a quick doc appointment this is the place I'll go. The RN was very knowledgeable--more so than most I've seen and I've seen and dealt with quite a few! She was a wealth of knowledge! Overall, great place from my families experience.

But I'm leaving my appointment & giving them 5 stars because the staff was SO nice and informational, I sat in the waiting room for less than 5 minutes, my appointment was quick and easy and I'm happy with how everything went!
