Highly recommended! Ginormous sandwich for wallet-friendly price! A sandwich is good for two people in my opinion, especially if you are like me, who eat her way around town. The shop is located in a small alley where theres minimal traffic. No seating area, but there is a small plaza near by where people would sit on the stairs of this church or the benches when available and eat their sandwiches. I honestly for the life of me could not remember what i ordered, the interaction was so quick. I just remember strangely delicious pistachio and delicious carpacio combo in the sandwich, and truffle, which can be added upon request.

Wow. This famous Italian sandwhich is probably one of the highlights of my trip in Milan, Italy. I do not think I can forget the taste of this sandwhich. I bought the roast pork. I am speechless on my forst bite. It was so good, tasty and yummy. The staff are very friendly but somehow in a rush but before I fall in line, I watch and observe the local on which sandwhich was the best seller. i do love on how it was freshly done right there infront of you. Both location in Milan and Florence are packed woth toyrist and local. Expect long lines but short wait on your order.

Lots of people recommended this place to me. So I had to try it. They have expanded so you can find other locations around Italy. San Marco: 3.5/5 pistachio spread is sweet. Gorgonzola overpowers most of the other ingredients. When you get a bite with pistachio, meat, Gorgonzola, and sun dried tomatoes, it's bomb. The portions are huge! No seating on site but there is a place with stairs and shade nearby. You can hang out here and chill. Lots of birds around as well. I would recommend you pick something on their recommended list if you don't know what to get! I didn't and wish I did since I only had once chance to try something from here. Haha.

I stumbled across this little sandwich shop by pure coincidence. I was hungry and I saw a line out the doorway, so I decided to try a sandwich. I tried La Numero 4, and it was delicious! The best flatbread I've ever had, and such fresh ingredients. You can also add additional ingredients like sun dried tomatoes to your sandwich. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Milan!

First time to have this amazing sandwich La Numero 1 (Porchetta, crema di patate arrosto e crema di cipolla for €9)! I felt like I landed in heaven after my first bite the meat was soooo tender and the spread really goes well together and ofcourse their freshly baked Tuscan schiacciata bread. I could not stop thinking about it that I was planning to back to the store again! Sadly, we have to go back to NYC, but I was happy that they have a store opened here so I can go checked it out. The service was quick. But it could be really busy. The prize was very reasonable. It's defined worth standing in line. A must try when your in Florence or Milan. There is not seating area in Milan store.

Waited in line for 45 minutes and it was absolutely worth it!!! Definitely one of our favorite spots in Italy. The sandwiches are massive, and the ingredients are so fresh. Highly recommend the truffle ones. So good we had to get it again in Rome before leaving for the states. Very friendly staff too!

Worth the wait so good! It's always take away most people sat on the steps near this place after getting their sandwich.

On our visit to Milan we came for breakfast at Farins & Cucina at around 9am and the restaurant was…read morestill not open. We hung around for a few minutes yet nothing happened so we decided to head somewhere else as we were on a schedule. Later in the week we decided to give this another try and I am glad we did. This time we got here closer to 11am and the place was buzzing. We were seated promptly along with the menus. I ordered the veggie omelette and it turned out to be really good. Even though we didn't get a chance to try but they have a lot of bakery pastries and sandwiches which most people were taking out and looked pretty yummy. 5 star cafe a couple of minutes walking from the Duomo in Milan. We tried the breakfast and it was awesome.

Right off the main touristy square on a side street, you will find Farina & Cucina, with windows of…read moresweets that just pull you in. Since we were looking for something other than pasta or pizza, we were pleased to sit and enjoy a meal here. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted and sat down at our choice of tables. I must have had the biggest eyes ever, as I just couldn't get enough of the pastry shelf....lined with colorful shapely items that I was going to have....after lunch. Ordered our drinks, Ichnusa beer. A regional local beer that is OH SO GOOD. As we made a final decision on our meal...I couldn't have been more pleased. This place offers you many choices, from panni's, to pastas, to hot meals, to pastries, to breads to take away... you name it...they have it. I settled on the chicken in rosemary with grilled veggies and a salad. When they brought out my plate, I was in heaven! The chicken was cut thinly smothered in a rich gravy with grilled eggplant and zucchini with tomatoes. This dish was succulent, with a nice mild taste of rosemary, but the gravy is what did it for me. It was rich in flavor, creamy, and I wanted to pick my plate up and lick it clean....but I didn't. The veggies were lightly grilled with olive oil and mixed well with my meal. I then had to top if off with a few different pastries. I can't tell you the name, I just pointed until I was done. I had a pistachio pastry, a lemon pastry, Nutella filled pastry, and a pistachio filled....all were delicious and devoured. I wish I had time in Milan after finding this place, because I was in love with that chicken dish, and know that I could never recreate it at home. I would definitely go back if in the Milan area again....even if just for the chicken without pastries!
