Anyway, the offices are nicely done out and welcoming, and the staff seem to be really nice. They also have a good selection of properties for sale and for rent - so it's well worth checking out their windows if you're in the market for some property.

Found out I was being charged for a service I wasn't receiving. Received rude and aggressive emails when I queried this. Suddenly was forced to pay up front because I was "receiving a service throughout the year". Requested advice on several occasions. No reply. No acknowledgement. No advice. Big phone bill due to repeated calls to HMRC to get advice I was paying Callan to give. Sent info for company return 2015-16 in May 2016. Had discussions with Callan in June to refine detail. Contacted Callan many times throughout December expressing concern about not having received accounts for filing. Finally received a holding response on January 9th. One day before the deadline, Stephen provides the information and tells me it was done in September. The take away message is: STEER CLEAR or risk your sanity. As well as popping into the shop, orders can be made by post or telephone and the finished product can be posted out, so there's really no reason to go into the shop at all. It also offers Internet access at 90 pence per half hour, which is quite reasonable. I have taken advantage of this service on many occasions, as there are no other places that offer it nearby. The internet is fast and both black & white and colour printouts are availible as well. I just feel sorry for the friendly chap who owns the shop, as the place doesn't seem to attract very many customers. It is always completely dead - quite surprising given the great services on offer at a reasonable price.

As we had been in lockdown I was really panicking I would not get my dress altered in time - I wanted to add burgundy lace motifs to back of my dress and along the train. When I contacted Carol she was so friendly and said she would fix my dress in time for my wedding which I was absolutely delighted about. When I met her she immediately put me at my ease and her professionalism was second to none. She also added in bust cups, and took it in at the sides. I also found her to be one of the nicest and genuine people I have met. Not only did she give me my dress of my dreams she also made some alterations to my new husband's suit for which we are very grateful for. I cannot thank her enough and would say if you need any alterations to your wedding dress do not go anywhere else as Carol and Alter Girls is the only place to give you the dress of your dreams. Carol was so accommodating…read moreand squeezed me in during a very bus period, gave me advise on what could be done to the dress I already had vs the new dress I got (we went with the new dress). I have scarring on my back which I am very self conscious about, and the dress I got was strapless, so she worked her magic to add fabrice to the back, chest and sleeves, and even managed to match the lace already on the dress. She made sure each piece of lace was attached to exactly cover any prominent scarring and didn't finish until I was completely happy. I felt flawless on my wedding day thanks to the hard work and attention from the staff here. She even gave me recommendations on other aspect of my outfit when I was worried about my shape which helped dramatically. Cannot recommend them enough! The studio is bright and airy and very clean, although it's a wee bit of a maze to get there within the building. They are cash only though so when it comes to paying make sure you bring money with you.

I used more printing to print place cards and booklets for my baby s christening…read more The result of my prints was lousy, with bad color representation, uneven cutting and the wrong amount of prints (ordered 30 - got 20). The prints looked like they were a sketch, and my home printer could have done this just as well. Having had these images printed with another printer before, I am certain that it is not my files that have the wrong color information or low resolution. Another printer business were shocked with the results I showed them, when I went there to have new prints done. I am well aware that digital prints does not give an exact copy of your images, but in this case other printer businesses did manage to print my images with a much higher quality than more printing. However, it is the service that is the most shocking part here. The employee became annoyed and angry when I asked questions about the prints and told them that I was disappointed. What happened to "the customer is always right" and a good service attitude?? After fighting with the employee, I finally got a refund, (which he picked up from his own pocket and almost threw on the table) followed by no "goodbyes" or "sorry" but simply just looking behind me, addressing the next customer. And I went out the door with my pram, getting no help with the door, angry and upset after the worst service-experience in my life.
