I found ABC GT Coins on Yelp and was impressed by the consistent high reviews left by previous clients, so I called to ask for an assessment. Gary Tanaka answered my call and requested photos so he could get an idea of the scope. i sent photos and later that same day, he called back and we set up an appointment to meet the following day. Talk about timely follow-up! Gary arrived at the appointed time. He sorted the coins and explained to me which had value and why. I was expecting a pure transactional appointment and was so pleasantly surprised that instead, I spent time talking story and having a real conversation with him. I know folks are busy but Gary did not rush, did not pressure, did not undermine the value of my dad's coins. I did sell the coins to him and felt I received a fair and reasonable amount. Much more that the the value of the coins was the value of the time, level of service and overall Aloha that I received from Gary. What a lovely gentleman!!! If ever I have a need within his scope of expertise, I would gladly and unhesitatingly call on him again! A huge Mahalo, Gary, for your Aloha and for sharing your kuleana. You go beyond 5 stars in my book!
