Nothing has changed, she still does an outstanding job! The kids all LOVE her, she's kind, gentle, loving. Communication is very open and I was aware of the schedule and anything we needed to know for practice. I could go on for days. We will be returning for more with a couple more kids signing up with Howell PAL theater in the future!

Through multiple showcases and two recent productions, I've watched my daughter blossom into a confident performer under Ms. Bryck's guidance. While the shows themselves are impressively professional, what truly stands out is Ms. Bryck's ability to connect with and nurture each student. She creates a supportive environment where young performers can grow and challenge themselves. Her loving and kind approach has helped my daughter develop not just as an actor, but as a person. The confidence my daughter has gained through this program is remarkable. Ms. Bryck truly cares about all her students, and it shows in how they develop both on and off stage. We are incredibly grateful to have found this theater company and such an exceptional director who has made such a positive impact on our daughter's life.

A mixed drink with a great pour size, and a bottle of soda was $12 - which is cheaper than most venues considering it was a full bottle and we go to keep the cap and the mixed drink was large. We saw "The Carpenters", which I saw a while back at the Algonquin theater. I wanted to see the show again because it was so good, but this show was like listening to the B-side of a 45. I can't even tell you how disappointed I was that they didn't play many hits. She sang covers from other artists and not so popular hits. I personally found it strange the way the show began with the guy running the strand, coming on stage with a piece of paper talking, and then having us stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. I have no problems saying the Pledge of Allegiance, but I just found the whole thing odd. I've never gone to any other musical event or show where they had everyone stand up and say the Pledge of Allegiance prior to the event. I also had a rude person seating us. I thought I had bought center orchestra, but it turned out that I bought center tier and when I told him I just wanted to look at my phone to verify what I had purchased because I thought my tickets were wrong. He got nasty with me and told me that's what your ticket said that's what you bought and I told him to just give me a minute so I could just look it up on my phone to verify and it wasn't like he had anything else to do or he was seating anyone else I didn't ask him to wait with me. I understood that my tickets were for the tier, but before I climb the stairs to the top, I wanted to make sure that I got the correct tickets from Will call, but instead of just letting me be, he felt the need to argue with me when there was no argument to be had, and him finally walking away, saying whatever. Other than him all the other people working there were great. This was just one experience but normally I never have any problems there.

I went to see my friend in the F Theory last night and was deeply impressed with everything about this beautiful and quite plush theater. As a reviewer mostly of off-off Broadway in New York, this theater struck me as wildly luxurious. It's more off-Broadway-like than off-off. The New Jersey Rep is celebrating 30 years in business but 20 years free and clear in the current location on, wait for it, Broadway (street or avenue). Long Branch is an old New Jersey town, relatively desolate except for a half-dozen taquerias, a dollar store, and various small businesses (like Boost Mobile). The theater has a giant parking lot behind the theater, where you enter. It story is worth looking up on the website. The theater produces ONLY new works. As such it's unique and important. I agree with Ames A: "Producing new works for the American theater is vital." This October there will be a festival of 28 or so plays to celebrate the purchase of a 30,000 square foot facility they hope to make into a theater arts center, complete with rooftop bar, two theaters, and I think classes. If you're in Essex, Monmouth, or Ocean County, become a subscriber and support American theater. And go see Megan Loughran and Alex Trow in the F Theory.
