    My adult child has a 12 Pro Max and one day his screen just stopped being responsive. Probably too…read moremuch scrolling and social media -- it's what the youngsters do all day, but I digress. In addition to the screen issue the thing wasn't charging properly. He would have to hold the cable at a 29 degree angle and wiggle it 5 times to make it charge. My husband dropped it off and the next day it was ready. The adult child was thrilled and I had to cough up the money. The gentleman who helped me was very thorough and explained everything. The screen comes with a one year warranty -- let's hope we won't need to use it. They also offer subscription plans to cover all the devices in your home. I'm seriously considering the plan as it does seem reasonable.

After an unfortunate and not so graceful swan dive my iPhone 4s ended up with a shattered screen and after 2 weeks of searching for an affordable repair option I cam across iFix. I have been searching since the day of the incident and all of the shops I found were either in Chicago or the Western suburbs. I could have made an hour drive (if I am lucky and there is no traffic) to have my phone repaired but why take the business out of Indiana. After much souring I found iFix on yelp and best of all they are only about 10 miles from me . Like many people these days my cell phone is my personal phone, home phone and business phone so giving it up for the day is next to impossible. The guys at iFix worked with me to bring in the phone after my work day and fixing it while I waited even it if meant they worked after regular business hours. I am now the happy owner (once again) of a pristine iPhone 4s and I can once again read my emails without looking around the cracks in the shattered screen and I can play angry birds all I want without getting tiny cuts all over my fingers. Few months after as I am replacing my wife's screen protector when the whole screen on the 14 ProMax comes off and I get two white lines across it when I try pushing it back in its place. I take it to CPR who gives me lip service about dropping the phone, blah, blah , blah. None of that happened. I just peeled the old screen protector off. I take it to another shop who look underneath the screen and discover a loose screw which was " probably never tightened up all the way" according to the tech and prevented the screen from settling in 100% , so when I pulled the screen protector off the screen came off with it. I then called CPR again with this new information and got more of the blah, blah, blah bs . Disappointed but I will replace the screen and life will go on but I cannot and will not give them any business again.

Well Batteries plus is the exception to the rule. I walk in as I was having trouble with my phone. A young guy who looked as if he was 12 came to the desk to ask me what he could do...I told him my phone is not even a year old and it was charging right. He looks at the phone then looked at me and said we don't work on Google phones...ughhh but he offered to take to the back and clean the port. No guarantees...needless to say he fixed it and only charged me $10 Highly recommend this place.

I took it back, explained, etc. The tech was very understanding and agreed to make it right - a few hours later they called and said the home button broke during repair. Fine, accidents happen. We went over a few options, which seemed pretty reasonable, and we ended up asking them to just refund the screen cost and move the new battery to my wife's phone, which also needed a new one. Not the best, but given the circumstances, something we were willing to work with. We came back after the second round of repair was complete... And after getting home noticed new damage to the screen in my wife's phone (the corner is now lighter than the rest, with a nice streak down to the middle). I'm honestly not sure I want to go back to the same place for yet another repair even if it's free. 4 stars for customer service, 1 star for technical ability. 5 stars for speed of service, but if it isn't good work, does speed matter?

    Boost Mobile really let me down…read more I've been with them for nearly 20 years; and what happened recently made me realize they're not the company they used to be. I broke my phone and went to Walmart to get a new Boost device; something I've done several times over the years with no issue. My account was already active, fully paid, and all I needed was to transfer my number to a new phone. Simple, right? I spent $40 on the phone; and because I'm a clutz and wanted to be extra safe, I picked up a case for another $20. That's already $60, and I hadn't even started on activation. When I tried to activate the phone myself, it said the device was locked; something that's never happened before with other Walmart Boost phones. I called Boost Mobile, spoke to multiple people, and was told to visit a store to finish setup; not one person mentioned I'd be charged anything. At the store, all the rep did was transfer my number; nothing more. But just as I'm about to leave, she tells me I owe $48.55. I was charged $35 for "activation" on an account that was already active and paid for; and $10 for a SIM card that was already included with the phone. No warning; no explanation until the job was done. All in, I spent over $100 just to keep using the service I already had. My phone isn't a luxury; it's a necessity. Money is already hard enough as it is; and just when I needed a little help getting reconnected, I was hit with surprise charges and taken advantage of by a company I trusted. The most disappointing part is the complete lack of transparency and care. I've been loyal to Boost Mobile for years; but this experience made it clear that loyalty doesn't mean a thing to them. I've tried to find a way to contact someone higher up, anyone beyond the usual representatives, but there's no public information for the CEO, and no one I've spoken with has been able to offer any real help or escalate my issue. I would not recommend Boost Mobile to anyone. Find a provider that genuinely wants to help people; not one that profits off of desperation. Boost showed me exactly what they value; and it's not their customers. I posted this review on Google as well. Everyone needs to be aware.
