I showed her my text messages spent another half hour with her and Dr trying to figure out what happened. Asked me to come back in an hour or tomorrow. I explained I couldn't return because I had already made plans to get treated today. I go here for my facial with Sherry but just recently started having acupressure massage and acupuncture for my right wrist specifically right thumb pain. I was told I had a tenosynovitis. I've had this issue for months and was ready to have steroid injections but I decided to try acupuncture as my last resort. Very glad I did. I have my second appointment for next week and currently, I am able to move my right thumb much better now. Dr. Howe is an amazing acupuncturist, and also uses a lot of traditional Chinese medicine techniques, natural herbs/patches, etc. For context, I started going to All Wellness Now for stress and relaxation acupuncture, but now she treats me for practically anything. I have been working out moderately about 4-5 times a week. Running, weights, etc. It's been awhile since I worked out this hard, so naturally a lot of soreness and pain came along with it. I started having plantar fasciitis issues, knee problems, calf tightness, etc. Immediately after a session, I start to feel relief and after a few sessions, I was back in it. She has also treated my boyfriend for back issues and stress, and has been successful at that too. Secondly, Steven (sp?), massage therapist is the best I've ever had. For context, massages are usually not my thing. I am extremely ticklish in the back and it is really uncomfortable when other massage therapists start working. Well, I told Steven that - he quickly warmed my back up to the touch of his hands so it would be more comfortable. Within a few minutes, I didn't feel ticklish at all, and he started the deep tissue. He really understands the body and knows how to massage those stubborn knots. I have been to him quite a few times - 30 or 60 minute session These sessions have been worth it!!! I went here for treatments of muscle impact by twisting arms during fall of snowboarding. I wasn't able to move my arms freely at some positions due to muscle tension and pain. But only twice visiting within a week, I could said that my arms are recovered perfectly. Doctors and nurse have nice attitude, comfortable and relaxing environment but it's not the high end kind. They are traditional Chinese acupuncture and massage with 30+ years experience. (I'm a Chinese immigrant, I can tell that they really got skills.) I love this place! Dr. Zhang Xie is very experienced in acupuncture, overall wellness and wellbeing. She is currently treating me for osteoarthritis issues, mostly in my back, and my knees, and also my issues with RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome), Raynaulds Syndrome and Carpal Tunnel. I love how she and her staff always greet me with a smile, and make me feel so comfortable. I had skin infection for more than a year and went to dermatologist and regular doctor twice . Not to mention that I spent thousands of dollars on derma biopsy test and prescriptions but none seemed to work . I came to this Chinese Doctor two weeks ago and he did acupuncture on my face for 35 minutes and prescribed Chinese herbs later . My face reduced the swollen red spots within one day !!! Visited this place for the first time on 11/2/2011. First off, let me say that I have never visited a place that practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine or alternative healing, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Getting an appointment was easy and they were flexible with my work schedule. Once I arrived, I was introduced to the massage therapist that was going to work on me. The room is sort of a basic exam room, nothing fancy (at all). I was there for a 1 hour massage; just to relax and relieve some muscle tensions, so all of the other Alternative Healing I didn't experience. Overall the massage was great! It was the first time I had a hot stone treatment as well. My therapist did detailed work on my shoulders and lower back. I was completely relaxed after my session; in fact I slept like a baby that night. I will be a returning customer for sure. First time clients receive a 1 hour massage for $40 and returning clients are charged $60. It's worth it in my opinion. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for, so don't expect a high end or fancy day spa environment. It's a simple office with a simple process. Overall, I'm a fan. read more
